We have used Frank for many years now and honestly the best service I have had every time. He has fixed our AC unites and refrigerators and always have had great experience with his company. H it is hard to find reliable and knowledgeable persons and he is the exception.

Michael Aredo at All Appliance and HVAC Service helped me choose a gas wall heater to replace a model that didn't function well. I was very impressed with his knowledge of the options, his prompt service at my home, and the way he went above and beyond, to inform me about the system I purchased. The price was fair for the outstanding service I received. He really knows his business. The wall heater he installed works very well for me. Still stunned and amazed AND very happy with the extremely fast resolution to our furnace problem. From freezing house to cozy warm in a matter of only a few hours - not days at a very good price. We have an old obsolete “Lennox” furnace that parts are no longer available and cannot be found. Frank determined the problem in probably a half hour and after his search for non existent part, checked his own inventory and just happened to have the inducer motor we needed. The last one - we were so lucky. Saved us from having to buy a new furnace-not to mention the stress involved with the transition from old to new. Thousands of dollars saved! He was quick, professional and ever so tolerant and patient with the lookie Lou over his shoulder. Where most would just conclude a new furnace was the answer, his professional diligence saved the day. Job done. Call Frank first - don’t waste your time with anyone else. He will be our go to guy ! Frank has been great for us, always there when ever a cooler goes down in either our Belmont fine wine & spirits or Menlo Park fine wine & spirits. Great service and comes same day if he can. Very professional and personable. Did great speedy work and helps advise on new builds and making systems more efficient as we take over out dated refrigeration systems. Been very pleasant to deal with.

Furnace was turning on/off oddly. They came out, checked it all out and found that a small piece of foam had come loose, causing the sensors to improperly kick on. Simple fix, straightforward and forthright. Great experience.

Our 50 year-old furnace quit this morning and we asked David if he might be able to look at it sometime. He said he'd be driving near our home in one hour and offered to stop by for a look. "I don't know if I can get parts for a unit this old," he said, once he saw it. Minutes later he diagnosed the problem and made an adjustment to the limiter that got the blower working again. He told us that the repair was unlikely to endure another Winter, but should hold for this one. What he didn't do was try to sell us a new furnace, even though we asked what one would cost. We are VERY happy with his service. When the time comes to replace our furnace, we know what to expect financially, and David will be the person we call.

Had a leak in my ceiling from HVAC use due to a clogged drain. Called Grumpy and he showed up within the hour and fixed the issue almost right away. He even stayed to make sure the leak had stopped. Grumpy (not a grumpy guy at all, he's very nice!) was professional and knowledgeable in what he does. I recommend him!

We hired David to fix a flaky furnace on the home we just moved into. He arrived on time and was very methodical in his debug process. After two hours work, the furnace works flawlessly.

Just so you know, we checked YouTube for the symptoms, and NONE of the videos showed the correct answer. All the YouTube videos pointed to a dirty flame sensor, none pointed to clogged combustion tubes. That's what experienced guys like David are for.

David installed a super quiet and efficient all electric heat pump system that we are super happy with. We had nothing but a 1940’s original gas floor furnace, so this was a full system install. After discussing ducted and ductless options with him, we decided to go for a ducted central system. They went above and beyond with the ductwork, working in difficult spaces to get the vents to the ideal locations with perfectly balanced air flow. He was great to work with and he's obviously very experienced at this kind of work as everything went super smooth—highly recommended.

We called Grumpy's to replace the 70-year-old gas furnace in our new-to-us house. David came by, discussed our options, gave us a very reasonable quote, and three days later we had a brand new mini split heat pump system! This thing works great and I'm very glad we went with Grumpy's.

We found Grumpy's HVAC through a colleague of ours. We reached out to David since our AC was not functioning as expected. David was able to accomodate our schedules and was super responsive with text/call. After the initial inspection, he mentioned to us that the entire unit would have to be replaced since it was almost 25 years old and the compressor was busted. He explained to us all the nitty-gritties about what was broken and what it would take for installing a new unit.

He immediately responded with some quotes and told us that we would need a crane job since the unit had to be installed on the roof. His quote was very competitive and he explained to us about the various brands of the AC unit and their associated costs.

He promptly got all the permits from the city and was able to do the installation very efficiently in under a week's time. He promptly arrived at the set date and time for the install, got everything set up and was infact ahead of schedule! He did the job brilliantly and very efficiently and got our AC unit working in no time. Throughout the process, he was very responsive, very easy to communicate with, friendly and it was truly a pleasure to work with him!

Our heater stopped providing us with hot air in the middle of the night and my family and I woke up to a freezing house. I called Grumpy's and David showed up within 2 hours and then diagnosed the issue with the unit quickly. He provided us with a quote and once we agreed, he got right to work. He found a new unit and told us he would have it installed by that night so that my family was able to have heat! His price was very reasonable for the value he provided, he was pleasant the entire time, and you can tell he is a true professional who cares about his customers! I will be using Grumpy's for all of my heating and cooling needs!

We needed to replace a 20+ year old HVAC and were struggling to decide if we wanted an electric heat pump instead of a gas HVAC system. Grumpy's HVAC educated us on our options and worked with us to select a modern, eco friendly and energy efficient unit within our budget.
The old unit was replaced after having to take down part of our fence. When Grumpy's left, there was no signs they had been there and the fence was good as new. The new heat pump works like a charm and the first utilities bill of the summer disappointed PG&E when they did not get to take all my money.

Honest, professional, and a great price. Can't recommend enough. AC unit went out during the summer, then Furnace went out late spring. David came to the rescue. We got a quote from another company and I thought I was going to have to refinance the house to pay for the repairs. When David came out he looked at everything and let us know the other company was trying to sell us all kinds of work we didn't need. He came up with plan, and gave us a fair price. He got to the work very promptly. David and his team were kind and efficient. Got the work done when he said he would, and even fixed several things previous installers had done poorly. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.
