After multiple companies told us our AC and heater combo couldn’t be repaired and recommended full replacement, Joel found a solution to get it up and running again. Last winter I purchased an older house with a complicated boiler system that had me scratching my head. Joel came out on quickly and spent hours not only dialing everything in but also explaining to me what I was actually looking at. I will be recommending this company to everyone I know! I have an older furnace that was acting up and called another company to come out and look at it. The technician performed the most basic of troubleshooting steps and said i needed a new unit due flame roll out from a possible cracked heat exchanger. It was pretty obvious he was just intent on selling me a new system. Again, my current system is old and I will be looking to change it and the ac out in the near future, but I will doing so with Thayer Mechanical. I called them today based off a recommendation from a trusted friend. They initially scheduled me for tomorrow but one of their techs had time and asked if today would work. Stuart showed up, had all the right tools and got to troubleshooting. He figured out the issue and got my old unit up and running in no time. He also confirmed there was no flame roll out and did some co2 readings at the furnace and throughout the house. I told him I am looking looking at a new unit in the future and he happily took some measurements to send over a quote. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything that was going on.
