Scheduled an estimate to install a new AC unit for am home I'm under contract to purchase. When scheduling I explained the situation and was assured it was not a problem to have the tech write me an estimate.

However, when meeting the HVAC tech at the property, he wouldn't even come inside to provide an estimate stating I need to be homeowner so they can lock me in with a contact. While I understand each company has it's own policy, this could've been explained to me up front instead of wasting not only my time, but also my realtor's time. Moreover the tech was short and rude about this fact; unnecessary and unprofessional.

I certainly will not be using Family Heating and Cooling for my HVAC needs and will be purchasing my new AC unit elsewhere.

You can TRUST them. They just saved me over $3,000, literally. I know absolutely nothing about furnaces and mine went out, I didn't know why and my daughter and I were cold. The first place I called told me I needed a new furnace, and I was ready to shovel it out but felt a little uneasy. I called these guys for a second opinion and discovered that my furnace was FINE - all I needed was a new thermostat. Heat is one of those things you NEED in Colorado, and there are companies here that will happily take advantage of your situation. This company will not. They were professional, informative, and trustworthy and not overpriced. Good job, you've earned a long time customer!

Yesterday a tech came to check my hot water heater, only for him to tell me it was the vent and how it wasn't pushed all the way on causing a back draft (he didn't even get on the roof to confirm). He said it definitely was the thermal couple or pilot assembly (which my father in law said it probably was and I told the tech this). He left and I called back when the pilot light turned off again which was about 30 minutes after he left. He called me back later and explained they didn't have the parts for my water heater and he would get them in the morning. Today he called saying the plumbing house didn't have the parts and couldn't help me unless I wanted to purchase a new hot water heater (mine is only 4 years old). I'm out the diagnostic fee and didn't even get the correct diagnostic. What a joke to tell me it was the vent! I hope you find better trained techs to work for you. I chose you because of the reviews but I am very disappointed and will never use Family Heating and Cooling again.

Very nice people to your face and on the phone, but terrible service. Xavier showed up to my house for the diagnostic on my furnace. He cleaned off one sensor with a brush on his keychain and said it was good. Running my credit card took more time than any service being done. The next morning I woke up to it still not working! When I called, I was told I’d have to pay for the diagnostic again. Obviously they aren’t confident enough in their work to back their diagnosis and service. Customer satisfaction should be priority over swiping my credit card! Thanks. I’ll go elsewhere.

Can’t say enough about Cheryl in the office and Ken who came out to the house. I wasn’t able to be there for the inspection. Ken called and went over options. He wasn’t pushy nor tried to up sell. Very straight forward, kind, very patient and knowledgeable. He was competitive in pricing as well. I’m confident that I chose the best company for us. Ken did a great job installing two whole house humidifiers in my home. The mechanical room was very tight on space, but he was able to do the job. He showed up on time, was very professional, and I'm very happy with the quality of his work. Would recommend to all.

Professional, polite, and thorough for everything. The units
were heavy and awkward but managed without any
wall or floor damage. Kudos to the worker who carried the new
water heater down and then the old one up the stairs! We feel
