Our air conditioner went out on one of the hottest days of the year. After calling several other shops, Ken was the only guy who could make it out the same day. Dead fan was replaced and cold air blowing in less than 2 hours. Ken was super friendly and easy to work with. Will definitely be calling Family Heating & Cooling for any future HVAC needs!

Everyone I spoke to was friendly, professional, and explained details. Ken added to my gas line for me in the Spring and am very happy with his service and quality provided.

Additionally, a of my friend had a new furnace installed at the end of last Winter by Alex when I was living there, same fantastic experience. Highly recommend.

Excellent service! We had a new Variable furnace put in at our house this month after getting 5 estimates from different Heating and cooling companies and Family and heating was the 2nd cheapest but the one that was cheaper left me uneasy and was the only one who said I needed a 90k ton unit when all the others said 70k. Ken and Isaac came out to install the unit and both of them were very patient and had the heart of teacher when it came to the installation. They both knew what they were doing and took the time to make sure the job got done correctly. Even the city inspector said these guys are great, will definitely be using again for our heating and cooling needs occur.

First time customer. Got work done in November. Okay experience overall. Lowered review because I was quoted the price for both the part needed and the diagnostic done before having the tech come out (480 total). When the tech came he charged that plus an additional 80. When it was time to pay I did ask why the price was different, and at that point he mentioned and applied a military 5% discount. Not sure that would've happened had I not asked why the price was different. Tech was nice but did try to push on additional services, even suggesting we need a new furnace. Definitely not needed. I didn't feel reassured by the experience. This company does have good reviews, may consider using again.

I had a humidifier installed by Family Heating and Cooling this summer (a great deal and great service by the installation team). We would leave the fan running during the day to circulate the air and add humidity (my son gets bloody noses in low humidity). My furnace was really old, so it didn't have a "Fan only" capability. The installer showed me how to turn the blower on and off, without having to install an expensive circuit board. It was a lifesaver during the Black Forest fires. I could leave my windows closed, circulate air, and purify any smoke out of the air in our house.

When I went to turn my furnace back on yesterday, the thermostat wouldn't start up the heater. I called Family Heating and cooling and explained what was going on. The owner called me back and set a next day appointment to assess the situation. During the installation of the humidifier, a thermostat wire was bumped loose. He found the issue right away and offered to fix it for free.

He also took a look at the heat exchange on my furnace. The furnace is almost 30 years old and he had concerns about carbon monoxide. I am glad he looked. He found 2 cracks in the exchange (he showed them to me) and was able to come up with a really affordable furnace to replace the old one.

When he found out that today was the only good day for my family to do the installation, he offered to drive down to the Carrier dealer himself so that his technicians could begin ripping the old furnace out and ensure a same-day installation.

They really go above and beyond for their customers. Their installers are very polite, professional, and conscientious (always offering to take off their shoes, etc.). Called three AC companies for quotes. Family heating and cooling replied immediately, Ken was prompt, honest, and practical. That’s why I chose Family heating and cooling. During installation Ken and his team kept up with these qualities. His technicians are courteous and kind while explaining how to operate all of the newly installed units. Don’t hesitate to call Family heating and cooling for all your heating and AC needs!

I normally do not write reviews, but I felt I should take the time since it helped me make the decision to call Family Heating and Cooling. My thermostat seemed to not be working and I thought I had the ability to change it out. I saw that my furnace was flashing an LED code and since I had no idea how to resolve the problem, I called in a professional. Ken found a safety overridden in the system and showed me the diagnostic on each of the major components. He explained everything thoroughly and I am aware I have some components that need replacement, which I declined at this time. I felt that I learned a great deal about my HVAC system and have ideas about future issues and costs. I felt better knowing my furnace is running efficiently and a limit switch was restored.

Family Heating and Cooling is a fantastic company to work with. Came out the same day I called them to look at a broken HVAC system. Brandon was incredibly friendly and professional, as was Ken when I met with him.
They fixed/replaced our system extremely quickly.

Our furnace in the home we just moved into was replaced in March and started making a squealing noise on Friday at 2pm. I called around 3, but then was going to a movie. I was told it would be the beginning of the week before they could get someone out, which I totally understood. By 4pm Ken was calling saying he could be at our house for the end of his work day to try to be sure we don't lose our A/C. I explained I couldn't get there, and he said he could come Saturday after another scheduled stop he had. I was going to be gone again, but we had friends at our house and he asked if I would be ok with him entering my home without me being there (with my friends there). He was overly considerate and concerned about getting us fixed as soon as he could. Even just for warranty repair. He got there at 11am and I was able to be home shortly after. He had the fan out and found the issue and was great at walking me through the issue and other information about our furnace. What amazing service! They have won my business! Thanks again Ken!

Called for a quote on a new Furnace and Air Conditioner. Ken was very thorough and explained everything that they would need to do in great detail. He even came back out a second time to answer some questions that my wife had. The techs arrived on time for the install and got all the work done in one day. Also very friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

I got home last night and discovered my furnace had quit working. I did a Google search and found Family Heating and Cooling. They had a 4.9 rating and were open till 9PM so I gave them a call. I was pleased to talk to a real person right away and fully expected to be told they would be out some time in the next couple of days (it was 30 some-odd degrees outside and dropping fast.) I was surprised to be told they had a technician on call and would send him my way. Mark showed up 40 minutes later and had my furnace running 30 minutes after that with a new igniter that he had on his truck! I was STOKED! (pun intended). Exceptional Service! Great prices! Will definitely use Family Heating and Cooling for all my HVAC needs and highly recommend them to all. Two thumbs, way-way up!

Ken was great. Our water heater finally died and he came over within an hour to check it out. This is impressive because with the recent high temperatures, my wife and I didn't expect to see someone before this weekend. I was even more impressed when he checked out the water heater and said he was going to go to his shop and get a water heater to install right then. He explained everything as he worked and was a joy to talk to. I highly recommend this company.

Wow What Service!
I came back from vacation and found that my furnace had just died as I walked in the door. Being a weekend, I called “Family Heating and Cooling” for they have 7 x 24 service and Isaac, a technician for the organization responded promptly.
After a very good dialog with him and numerous questions which all were answered in a knowledgeable and professional way I had my course of action. "He gave me choices and options".
Without any further competitor checking (which is unusual for me) I committed to a new replacement furnace.
My information was passed on to Jaime at the office and I closed the deal. What’s even better was that the installation was scheduled within 5 working days. Fantastic customer service. Isaac did the install and you have one happy customer.

Our A/C went out on a Sunday evening. I left a message for Family Heating and Cooling, and they called me back first thing Monday morning. They identified the issue and got us back up and running quickly. We are extremely pleased with the service. Ken even taught us some maintenance tips to help avoid this issue in the future.

We have had Family Heating and Cooling service our furnace for several years. They are kind, efficient and trustworthy. This weekend, we had some issues with our furnace, and with snow in the forecast, we knew we needed to act quickly. Ken came this morning and serviced our furnace and it is working great! We decided to have him put us on his Furnace Maintenance calendar for next October so we will be ready for winter. We recommend FamilyHAC without hesitation. We trust them in our home and with our HAC needs.

My husband and I were so impressed by Family Heating and Cooling. Our 14-year-old water heater went out and we were without hot water for nearly a week before we called Ken. He really worked hard to solve all of the problems with the water heater and went above and beyond, and out of his way to get the right parts that were needed to take care of the job. Ken was really helpful and knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. The job was finished quickly and we couldn't be more thrilled!

Had work done on furnace (cleaning) which was found to be incomplete when home was inspected for sale. Contacted the owner of Family Heating and he personally came out to repair additional needs of the furnace and perform cleaning on the same day. Estimated additional cost of $480 which he waived completely. Enough cannot be said for honestly, integrity, and ownership of an issue. Everyone will make mistakes, but only a few take ownership and go the extra mile to then complete the job. Could not recommend Ken and his company more highly.

I experienced an after-hours problem with my furnace that required emergency service. Ken from Family Heating and Cooling responded to my initial phone call within 5 minutes, arrived on time, and fixed the problem immediately. He had all the necessary parts on hand and provided extra cleaning services at no additional cost. I paid a fair price for parts and labor and did not mind the emergency service fee. Thanks Family! I was referred to Family Heating & Cooling by a co-worker because of their excellent work, and they didn’t disappoint! Ken and Cheryl are wonderful to work with, and I will definitely be using their services for any of my HVAC needs.

I had my heating and air serviced about 2 weeks ago and when I tried to turn on the ac it wasn’t working right. I called them back and they returned the next day. The owner came himself and helped fix it. The owner accepted full responsibility for the repair. It hadn’t been serviced correctly. This company is really honest. I will call them again and refer them to my friends and family. Top notch outfit.

Our company has been serviced by Family Heating and Cooling for about 10 years now. They have always been honest, fair and professional. We just had Family install a new HVAC unit for our building this week. The process went well, the price is what I would consider fair (for a commercial unit) and it works great.
