I hired Rocky Mountain Climate to replace a full AC unit both indoor and outdoor components. Here is a partial list of my experience.

1. They did not pull a permit (Until I called & complained multiple times)
2. A lineset was included on my quote, but they did not provide one. (My old lineset had a kink)
3. They installed a new unit (indoor AC 2.5T & new condenser, but did not register the warranty. (Cost to register late was $500- unit came with 10yr parts & labor from the manufacturer, but must be registered within 60 days)
4. They took the components for the 2.5 T AC unit out of the housing & installed them in the housing from my old unit (they were not compatible & had they registered the warranty this would have voided the warranty.)
5. They said they replaced a TXV valve, but only worked on the condenser. (I later learned that TXV valve is in the attic, not outside at the condenser, they did not go into the attic that day) I have no idea what if anything they did the day the said they replaced TXV valve.
6. They did not install the drier-filter. (Which came with the unit), new company had to provide & install this.
7. My last contact with them was several months ago when they said they were having a meeting about my job, and would call me by 5pm that same day. So far- crickets...I called them the next day & left one more message begging for a solution, but never got a returned phone call.

I could actually list many other things that went wrong, but I think you get the idea. I had another company come out and they had to re-install everything in the attic & they had to replace the lineset, and they had to work on the condenser to get everything up and running.. I did dispute the CC charge and got 100% of my $$ back from RMC. I did try to work with RMC allowing them to make it right from early April through early July. When I got no returned phone call I started over with a different company who was AWESOME!

Lessons I learned 1. First check with Regional Building to find a contractor. 2. I learned to make sure permits are pulled before giving access to my house for any job, this is accessible through Pikes Peak Regional Building Website.

They recently installed a new water heater for me. Overall a great experience. They are prompt and professional, definitely above average in everything they do. The county inspector said it was a very neat installation (I agree), so that’s another benefit. Maybe a little pricey, but you get what you pay for and I have no complaints in that regard. This is my second project done by Elevation and I can highly recommend them. If they start taking Apple Pay, they’ll be perfect.

Unfortunately I had to use the Emergency service on a weekend. The dispatcher was very responsive and helpful with questions. The worker that was sent to my house was Ethan and he is awesome! He responded quickly and worked really hard on my difficult system to figure out the problem. I really appreciated his good humor, hard work and overall pleasant attitude.

They were very professional and I could tell they know what they were doing. The bill was very appropriate for the work.

Elevation is the best of the best. Chris came out the next day after our furnace let out a bang when I tried it this fall, just when outside temps were dropping. He got estimates to us the next day on 3 different systems. The High Efficiency Furnace/Heat pump system was ordered, then installed the following week. The guys were professional. Chris and Cody were even helpful AND patient with this "do-it-yourselfer" as I ordered and installed an upgraded thermostat.

I had a new furnace installed in November by Chris, Dylan, and Jay. It has been one of my best choices this year. The furnace runs great and is very economical, but the Service is outstanding! I had a small issue (my fault) but Chris showed up and fixed the issue in appox. 10 minutes. So if you want quality service with your furnace, I highly recommend Elevation Mechanical and Chris, Dylan, and Jay.

1 week later: Thanks for your response. As of this date, I still have not received any quote from your company, and yes I have checked the spam box. I will look in the future to other companies I have used in the past.

So my AC is working but some days it has a hard time keeping up. So about 2 weeks ago I called this company and they came out. When he started looking at equipment inside the house, his first comment was the the area where the air filter was dirty and that during construction(?) a filter fell to the floor. This area being dirty would be expected has my air filter is normally dirty when I change it once a month. He also mention that since my unit was a trane high efficiency unit he was not going to remove a panel to see if the fan needed to be clean and any other diagnostics. Basically he said he wouldn't be able to do anything until he could check the inside of the unit to make sure it was clean and that he would get back with a quote (he did mention that this might run about $400). He went outside and put some clips on the line and state that the unit was not running correctly and again nothing could be done until the unit is clean. As a side note, the house is only 3 years old.

About a week ago I called to see about the quote since I have not received one,.

Forward to today, which is 2 weeks since they came out, and still no quote. I presume that they are not interested in doing this work and that I paid them $80 to come out and say my AC unit was not working correctly which I ready knew!

Nothing could’ve been any better. The price was great. The staff was on time courteous and professional, and job was well done. Used an $80 coupon that we had, so the price was great

Chris and Noah did an awesome job fixing our ducting in our crawl space. Always using Elevation for all our HVAC needs.

Elevation Mechanical has been great to work with. We had our air conditioner unit replaced by them. They were reasonably priced, respectful when coming in and out of our home, and offered great service. We have had a couple concerns with our heating unit and with no pressure they have come out to look at it, as well as gave us all our options with no pressure on what choice we make. They have been very responsive when returning calls and serving in a timely manner. They are our preferred provider.

You can really take a look at the photos and see that they have their work cut out for them! What an amazing much needed transformation! My old system was a too big furnace for my house and a ‘Jimmy Rigged’ air conditioning unit that I am not sure how the other company got to pass inspection, but my new unit and system looks amazing and is properly installed! Not all companies are created the same! These guys are knowledgeable and do the job right! Thank you elevation!!!

The Elevation Mechanic team does a phenomenal job with AC/Heater maintenance. It is worthwhile to get the annual maintenance plan. They reached out to us when it was ready to schedule the follow up appointments. Highly recommend this team!
