We had the unpleasant surprise of undetected water damage behind the drywall in our 3-year-old home. Cesar and his team did an excellent job replacing the damaged framing, insulation, and pipes. It's clear to us that their quality of work and materials used are much better than those of our builder. Kelvin is awesome to work with as he is very friendly and great with both communication and handling the insurance side of things. As first-time homeowners, this whole event was an eye-opening experience for us, but we are so glad Garnet was there for us and now our house is even better than before.

Kelvin and his team with Garnet Construction just completed a reconstruction project on my mother’s house, and we are extremely satisfied with the fabulous end-result. Before beginning the project, Kelvin met with us several times via Zoom as we were out-of-state. He communicated with us via email as well. He responded quickly to all our questions and requests for clarification and feedback. Kelvin provided us with thoughtful and practical solutions to issues that arose during this process.
The project was started in a timely manner after signing the contract and was completed in an efficient manner with consistent progress during the three-month project. Shortly after the start of the project, Kelvin set up an online platform through which we could message each other, he could post photos, and he would post daily logs. This really helped us stay in touch with the work that was going on and made us feel very informed despite not being there for the process.
The team working daily on site was led by Cesar, and their skills and quality of work are obvious in the completed project. Work was done right the first time which meant that materials weren’t wasted. The quality of materials used makes the home look freshly up-to-date and modern.
The final walkthrough went smoothly without surprises, which is a testament to the diligent work of Kelvin and his team and the constant communication we had with them throughout the process. At that point, we knew 100% we had chosen the best contractor for our mom’s special project.

I highly recommend Garnet Construction (Kelvin) he is a very diligent person and very detailed regarding his construction work, he helped us replace the roof of my house and helped us get more money from the insurance claim and he got us good prices and quality, he helped us find other suppliers that we needed to repair other things that were damaged by the hail. He keeps you informed of every step he is taking. He does his job very well . In short, I did not have to worry about anything other than waiting for him to do the work.

Kelvin, Cesar and their team are one of the most proffessional contractors in the area. Their communication throughout the whole project was outstanding. I hired Garnet Construction to rebuild a retail space into a luxury tattoo studio and they captured the style I described right from our first meeting. Kelvin took care of all the licensing and permits required by the city and passed all inspections right away. He even went out of his way to expedite the long processing time some of these permits take. They were also able to work with my budget even after some final additions in order to achieve the look I was going for. Some unexpected expenses (water heater replacement) were handled with the upmost honesty and integrity. They were also willing to work at night in order to avoid any delays. I typically don’t leave reviews until a service is complete, but I wanted to leave this review so Foulkes can know how outstanding this company has been with accommodating mine and my partners Disabilities throughout the entire process so far and how kind they have been with people in our neighborhood/townhome community.
My partner and I are both blind and we had very significant damage to our home in August 2024. After finally getting funds from Insurance to start the restoration process back in November 2025, our public adjuster, who is based in Florida, gave us the name of this company because of the fantastic rapport and relationship he has with them due to working with them for years.
Kelvin, Cesar, and Destiny have all been incredible! They have been extremely accommodating and, because of our blindness, have gone above and beyond by helping us get rides to different hardware stores, supply centers, etc. and really helping us navigate the process of picking colors, understanding the process, and responding promptly if there are any accessibility issues with their daily logs or anything else.
Furthermore, they have been so respectful and working in our very tight and cramped complex. There is not a lot of space for parking their trucks and the parking area for visitors is quite far from where they are doing work. It is a tricky situation given the limitations of how the complex is set up. But, if Nabors ever ask them to move their trucks, they do it respectfully and swiftly.
I’m super excited to see the completed restoration and I’m sure they will do an excellent job. Shout out to the entire crew that have been working extra hours as well so we can move back in before rerun out of alternative living expenses. This company has been amazing so far and I definitely will leave another review after the work is completed.

Had a (thankfully minor) basement mold issue that left a corner of our finished basement torn up. Kelvin with Garnet Construction came in, put together a work proposal, and their team had us back together good-as-new in no time! Every person they brought in to help was professional, polite, exceedingly skilled and *fast*— we were in great hands the whole time!

We had Garnet Construction finish our basement and the completed project was was more than I expected. We added a large TV room, pool room, bathroom, workout room/bedroom, toy room, and small craft room. Cost was reasonable and they were very respectful of our property. Kelvin was very thorough and an excellent communicator. Cesar is a talented craftsman and very knowledgeable. Kelvin coordinated with all sub contractors and city inspectors. Garnet Construction handled the demolition and reconstruction of our basement bathroom and bedrooms after a fire last winter. They created detailed estimates and negotiated with our insurance company on our behalf.
The Project Manager, Kelvin, communicated every step with us and checked on the progress often. The quality of work was excellent and we are very happy with the final result.
Overall the project took a bit longer than expected due to a supplier issue, but Kelvin found a local, woman-owned business that did a great job stepping in on short notice.
Cesar was the on-site supervisor and also was very conscientious to communicate with us and correct anything that we asked him to.

We contracted with R2 Construction to upgrade my daughters bathroom. They stated it would take 1 week for the project to be completed. It took 6 weeks for them to give back to us an unfinished poorly constructed bathroom. The tiles are poorly cut with jagged edges, some stick out further than others causing sharp edges, grout and caulk missing. Other issues include - poor drywall work, missing a shelf, cabinet drawer sticks out, missing exhaust fan, 1 floor tile sticks up so far we have to keep a rug over it to keep from cutting my daughters toes. The owner Roddy came out and agreed that the construction was poor and promised to make it right. I left phone messages, sent emails, every few weeks to try to get on their schedule and they have yet to fix the issue. I filed a complaint with the BBB - still no response. After I let everyone know that the work is sub par, I will take it to the next level.
