We had the best install experience! It gives us peace of mind that we have a team that is local and always available!

There was a number of miscommunications, or lack of communication. The electrician was out more than once for work to be done on the panel and the conduit which had to be changed from the original diagrams. Plus I have not received a rebate check, and did not receive the tax rebate information.
While the overall process was fine, the expectations set a high bar that they really did not meet in total. I might recommend them to someone else. it would be my advice to shop around.

Installed our system last year. After installation, Our energy bill was running $300 plus the cost of the solar loan each month is $150. We were told the system would pick up in the summer and yes it reduced the cost but not like what was explained to us. The installation was completed but then system was not even turned on properly for 2 months due a an oversight on their part. I have spoken with Sun Talk and Apollo energy multiple times and we are still paying more for our energy and solar loan every month than before we had solar. The system is inefficient and they have not followed through. Do NOT get solar it is a scam and will cost you more in the long run. We wish more than anything we could give back the entire system and pretend it was all a bad a dream.

Sun talk installed my panels, since the beginning i've had nothing but problems. To start, i lost half my panels in the first month due to a bad install. This was fixed but it cost me since the panels were out so long. Now 2 years or so later my inverter is not working and they cant figure out why. so now im stuck paying for them to figure it out since only the inverter is covered under warranty, not the labor. Im also a journeyman electrician, but cant touch anything or it voids the warranty. I paid a lot for this system and firmly believe this should all be covered.

The best EPC in Colorado and they’re very professional while answering all of my questions. Denby absolutely rocks! She’s very responsive while holding a book of knowledge that helped me make the best decision for me and my family 😊. SunTalk Solar is hands down the best solar installation company in Colorado!

We signed to have solar panels in March of 2021. We did not get our panels installed until late fall/early winter. They weren't turned on until end of December, even though we were promised that they would be in June/July of 2021. Now that they have been "ON" for over 2 months, we still haven't received a credit in our Xcel bill and we cannot get ahold of anyone to tell us what's going on. Through out this whole process, it takes them weeks to answer an email until you pester them, and then it still takes several business days to get ahold of anyone.

The company is very, very disorganized and terrible at responding. We had many and have ongoing issues with poor communication and scheduling, including many issues with company not communicating regarding city approval process, timing, schedule, inspections, and delays in getting our system turned on. It also took a ridiculous amount of time getting the quote for the critter guard.

In addition, we have yet to receive the quote for a CT meter that we thought had been installed and wasn't, and we have been waiting for weeks to hear back.

The panels look and good and work well so far, but the company is an insanely disorganized mess.

Denver Solar Leasing is the best option for adding solar panels to your home or business. We didn't even know about the solar leasing program until we spoke with SunTalk Solar. They are extremely knowledgeable about residential solar panels and the available solar leasing programs saved us a ton of money on our installation. If you're interested in finding out more about solar panels and solar leasing, contact SunTalk, they will not disappoint!

APEX is an amazing company to work with from beginning to end. We previously used Tesla for solar and an pervious home and it was the worse ever! I would and have recommended APEX any day, the communication was amazing and always let us know what was going on. I am a supporter of local companies and they proved my choice in doing so to the fullest extent.

This company pushed green sky credit after communicating I would pay cash. They proceeded to request credit in excess of the job bid cost. The salesman promised the job would be invoiced and completed before year end. The project manager took a while to inspect and propose a design that I was never happy with. Long story short I paid the 800$ to terminate what I felt was over promised and under delivered. Green sky credit after paid kept an outstanding balance on my credit report and wouldn’t work with the credit bureaus to help resolve a paid and clear a zero balance resolution for my credit score.

    Buyer beware.

The vendor and finance company didn’t work to resolve my complaint.

Are you the kind of person that likes to be kept in the loop when you are having work done to your home? Do you like a company that will over-deliver on their promises? Then SunTalk is NOT the company for you! We have been kept in the dark every step of the way. They made great big promises and have broken every single one of them. Worst of all, everyone we have worked with there blames other individuals within their own company or 3rd parties, but nobody there is willing to accept the blame for any of their shortcomings. We were so excited about getting solar installed for our home but this process has been dreadful.

Things started out well with Sun Talk in talking with Miles at the time. He answered all questions I had and we were able to choose a different panel than what they presented originally since I wanted a certain look to the system (all black panels) as it was being placed on the front of our house. After doing extensive research and looking at other systems in our neighborhood we were excited to get solar.

The first sign of trouble was prior to the installation. We went through the credit union they do regular business with called generations credit union. Initially there was an issue with the application process. Communication with GCU was a nightmare. Contract was sent over on 7/20, I emailed on 8/1 for follow up with no response from GCU and then I get an email from Denby saying everything was set to do the install, but GCU didn't send over the deposit for the install to begin and we were asked if we would like to provide the deposit upfront instead. The entire purpose of using a loan was to not pay anything up front.

At this point I'm just getting annoyed with the process. Denby followed up with GCU and they were finally able to process the contract and get the install scheduled. Then the installation came and I came home looking at the skirt in the front which seemed to sit higher than the other systems I've seen and you could clearly see the bracket system even with the skirt. The panels weren't installed at this point, just the brackets and the skirt. I called Sun Talk and spoke with Denby who said it will probably be lowered once the actual panels were installed and if we didn't like how it looked we would have some sort of recourse down the road.

The panels were installed, however the brackets weren't lowered any further. I sent emails and had multiple phone calls with Denby and Miles and was told the manufacturer had longer skirts that were ordered and the manufacturer was working on. We waited weeks to get an update on the skirt only to find out that the manufacturer didn't have a longer skirt. The solution for them was to come out and lower the bracket systems as far as they could go, so they did. What they left were unlevel panels that looked more like a wave and against manufacturer's recommendations since the panels should be level.

I asked for a different bracket system, even before that point, but was told that wasn't possible. I was told by Denby that there would be an avenue for recourse for the bracket system issue and that the manufacturer was producing a longer skirt, but both were a lie. To top that off we received a final statement from Sun Talk before the work was complete to our satisfaction giving a due date within a week and that late fees would be assessed if it wasn't paid by then.

I emailed immediately and called GCU to see what could be done since they were requesting payment. Based on the contract GCU couldn't release payment since it wasn't complete, but we were going to be charged a late fee because of it. Needless to say I wasn't happy with either GCU or Sun Talk. I was unfortunate enough to talk with the president of the company as well about the bracket issue and he made it seem like it was my fault for the entire process. I explained that I didn't approve of the bracket system, but we were provided shop drawings of the other components, but the bracket system. Had I seen the bracket system then I would have asked for a different one and it's not like I brought the issue up at the end of the project.

Now we're stuck with a system that looks like poor worksmanship (the critter guard looks like it's put up haphazardly, you can still see the bracket system when you can't on other systems in our neighborhood (and the roof pitch is the same on these houses that were build in the 1960's), and you can see the screws through the bracket system as well). Working with their credit union they recommend is a joke all around. Oh and for the recourse on the bracket system, they sent a check for $300 on a $22,000 system that I have to look at for years to come.

Great company to work with! Pablo and Denby were super helpful and easy to get in touch with every step. It took about 3 months from start to finish but that was because of us being at my power company, IREAs mercy to approving everything. Once they approved it SunTalk was ready to have instillation start immediately.

I’m sad to say that our entire experience has been horrible. We had our solar panels placed about 5 years ago and they have either not been working at all or generating only enough to cover the expense of having them almost the whole time we have had them. I had a horrible time trying to connect with them to have things fixed prior to the warranty running out and was connected to one employee that actual cared and tried to do his job. Even with that being said it took a year of our panels not working at all before they would replace what I had asked in the first place. I am sad to say that they now turn on and off and say they are collecting, but we are not seeing any difference in our electric bill. We were promised that by having the panels 70-80% of what we used would be collected and we have yet to see anywhere close to that number. I would love a response from the company and for them to make this situation right.

We used Suntalk to install our Solar system, the staff was professional and communicative every step of the way. Thomas was sweet and knowledgeable during the site survey. Denby was able to answer all of my questions in a timely manner and always answered the phone when I called. Ryan was wonderful keeping me informed on the install and final inspection process.

Overall a great team to work with.

OUTSTANDING experience all around! From the initial sales experience with Brad, to negotiating with the owners, to the installation crew, to Denby who made sure everything was on track and taken care of - this experience really does warrant the 5-star rating. They didn't miss a beat. We were able to secure the best quality solution (I did a TON of research and recommend you do as well) for an amazing price, without any issues whatsoever. They not only did what they said they would, they kept me informed every step of the way. We couldn't be more excited to be part of the Solar movement, and of all the companies I researched and engaged with, these folks were the cream of the crop in every regard at every turn. Again, do your homework. Get competitive bids and make sure you research the stability of the companies you receive bids from (price shouldn't be the only consideration as there are some pretty shady folks in this industry). Be sure to ask Brad about the pros and cons of the other deals - he will be honest and straight with you. With an investment of this size, you really need to be able to rely and trust the folks you are working with - especially as this isn't the most intuitive purchase you'll ever make; but with some due diligence and the folks at SunTalk in the mix, I'm sure as you conduct your research, you'll quickly learn, as we did, that you couldn't be in better hands!

The process has been smooth from start to finish, pleasant people helping and guiding me at each phase. My schedule was always a priority.
Suntalk coordinated all dealings with the city and the power company.
Of the four bids I received, Suntalk was the most competitive and it felt like this choice fuels the local economy.
My neighbors have gone with Suntalk and they have had the same experience.
Looking forward to a substantially reduced utility bill.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. Like many other reviews, it is very difficult to get service when there was is problem your solar panels and when you do they try to scam you. Our solar panels stopped working all of a sudden last November so we called their technical service number (which is only one person in that department). Jason was very friendly and tried to help getting it fixed remotely by walking me through some things to try. Nothing worked. There was a lot of back and forth over 6 months of trying to figure out the problem. We finally scheduled for them to come out to look at it. Now get this, it's $350 inital charge ($250 trip charge + $100 admin fee) to just come out and $100 per hour of labor when they get here. We paid the $350 charge and he was here for 1 hour and 15 mins. I made sure to track his time because I knew we were being charged $100/hour. Jason, found the problem and fixed it quickly. Before he left, he said to wait until tomorrow for the the panels to be running. A few weeks later, we get a $300 bill for 3 hours of work so I called several times to try to get a hold of someone and left messages. I finally got a phone call after emailing and a VERY RUDE lady called me back. I asked why we were being charged for 3 hours of labor when he was only here for 1 hour and 15 mins. She then told me they round up the 15 mins to a full hour so it was billed as 2 hours of repairs and 1 additional hour of admin work when he got back to the office to "activate" the panel. I told her that I was not going to pay for a full extra hour for 15 mins and the 1 hour of admin work doesn't make any sense and we were not told of these extra charges. She then changed her story and said the labor was 1 hour and 45 mins and the admin work was 1 hour and 15 mins. Basically, it seems like they are trying to scam you into paying $300 in additional charges like they've done with other people who left reviews. $650 to get someone to come out to fix something for 1 hour and 15 mins!!! We were not charged for the part because it was under warranty.
**UPDATE: After a lengthy phone dispute with the rude lady from the company, they lowered the follow up bill to $100 which was a fair amount for the 1 hour and 15 mins of work he did while he was at my house. It still equated to $450 after it was all said and done. I hope to never have anymore solar issues in the future because I don't want to have to deal with this company and 6+ months of trying to get their service department to come out to fix it. Their customer service is terrible but Jason from the technical service department was very nice and tried to help as much as he could. He handles all the phone service issues AND is the one that goes out to homes to handle solar panel repairs. Save yourself the headache and go with another company that you don't have to deal with surprise additional costs.
Call the warranty company = $100
    Activate the panel = $100
    Trip charge $250
You do have to pay all those fees PLUS the actual labor time of $100 per hour and they round up to the next hour.

We just got our solar online and we are super excited to see how the system will save us $$. Sun Talk was great to work with - Jordan is incredibly knowledgeable and Elisa was awesome on the administrative side getting things going. Installation was easy and not disruptive at all - barely knew they were here (and quick - 26 panels installed). If you are thinking of solar I would definitely recommend Sun Talk.

As a buyer, you should be very careful with choosing Sun Talk Solar. After starting the process we payed the down payment and worked with Sun Talk to get the installation set up. We were told that based on our number of panels and the steep pitch of our roof it would likely take one to one and half days to install our system. The Sun Talk installers showed up between 10-11 am and left before 3pm every day because it was "too hot to work." It took three days for the crew to install our system and the crew was more interested in smoking in the front yard instead of working. The last day the instal crew mentioned that they couldn't finish the instal because the electrician did not do his part properly and "he would just need to come back and just figure it out." Three of our neighbors approached us after the instal asking what took so long and what was wrong with the crew. The day of our city inspection a Sun Talk electrician came out to trouble shoot our system and found multiple wires loose and not connected properly. The day we passed our city inspection I contacted Sun Talk to complete the paperwork to have our XCEL net meter installed. I was told that it can take XCEL 2-4 weeks to come out to install the net meter. After three weeks with no net meter I contacted our Sun Talk representative to get an update. After some investigation our representative notified me that she never submitted the paperwork to XCEL and the 2-4 week wait would start now that she finally submitted the paperwork. At this point it had been over three weeks since passing our inspection and we had an incomplete system and all our representative from Sun Talk could do was say sorry. At this point I expressed to Sun Talk that I had very little faith that our system would work properly. After the first snow storm of the year, 9 of our solar panels quit working. This went unnoticed by myself, Sun Talk and the monitoring company for 2 months until I noticed our elevated XCEL bill. I contacted Sun Talk and they said that they could send out at technician but there would be an upfront fee and hourly rate for their repairs. After explaining our entire solar experience to the representative they offered to send a technician out for free. After a few hours of trouble shooting he discovered more loose wires and disconnected junction wires on the solar panels. Now our system has been operational for the two months without problems however we have squirrels nesting under the panels as Sun Talk does not install critter guards. Sun Talk said they could install the critter guards but I would need to pay $950 for the installation and parts. I have tried to make this review as unemotional as possible but please be cautious with choosing Sun Talk as your solar company.
