If you haven’t had your air duct system cleaned out in more than 10 years; chances are you will definitely require a deep cleaning with brushing & sanitizing. I think most of the other reviewers have alreadt covered the gist of what to expect before getting your vents cleaned but it’s always nice to know ahead of time from the company itself so I respect SH for the honesty. As I brought up earlier; definitely not cheap to do a deep cleaning but it is worth it IF you maintain your system on an annual basis. From now on add airduct cleaning to your “to do” list when it comes to home maientenance, you won;t regret it

Everyone in my family including me has allergies so we’re extra sensitive to any dirt or dust particles flying in the air, particularly in our home so Cleaning out the air ducts is an absolute priority. Safehouse offers different packages and services depending on what current shape your existing system is in and they will proceed accordingly after they lay the options out on the table. We went with a basic cleaning with the dryer vent using a high pressure vacuum to suck out all the collection of dust/debris over the last year or so. Service was great and we always can feel the diffference afterwards

Definitely one of the best Duct Cleaning services in the area. Prices range depending on the kind of service you choose and more importantly necessary in order to keep your system clean and up to date. Take care of your central heating and cooling around the summer or winter times when you absolutely need it. My vents now bring in freshly filtered air consistently and all the rooms are on an even scale.

They have canceled on me twice now. I have taken two days off of work just to be told that morning that they aren’t coming. I will not be recommending them at all. This is extremely unprofessional. The first time they canceled it was because I was outside of their service area. Before making an appointment I asked on Facebook if they went all the way to Franktown and they said yes. I also gave them my address. Then a week later, after I had already taken the day off of work, someone calls me and says the technician won’t come all the way out to Franktown. I was upset but still willing to give them a chance. Scheduled another appointment and took another day off. Then get called that morning to be told the appointment was cancelled. I received a text from their scheduler saying that the reason they canceled is because the technician that services my area is no longer with the company. How did no one know that information until a few hours before my appointment? I can not speak to the quality of their work because no one has come out to do the work. Extremely poor customer service.

I had an appointment for 5:30 and the technician was at my house right at 5:30. The technician was very friendly and courteous. He explained what was going to be done and showed me what was all going to be cleaned. They went out of there way to make sure that i the customer was satisfied. I would recommend them. I inspected my vents and hvac and they looked really clean and thorough after he left.

    STAY AWAY !!!

They are really terrible . First thing first they missed my appointment 2 days back and didn't give me an update till I reached out to them to know technician had flat tire ....
I purchased Groupon and Groupon said unlimited supply vent cleaning. Technican came in and he is not willing to do what Groupon said. In Groupon notes they said unlimited vents, but technician came in and said it doesn't cover ceiling vents. Then he looked at the house and gave me an estimate of $800.... Reallyyyyyyy . ??? Then I asked him to just do what's covered in Groupon and he refused to do that because his company doesn't want to just do basic service. What they show in Groupon is just an advertisement and they basically wants you to call them to schedule an appointment to come in and rip you off.
I have been using Groupon for a while and this is the worst experience I ever had in 3 years.

Bait and switch. Was quoted $350 for a post construction clean. Guy shows up and says that is for a standard house and that he needed to do a walk through to count vents and returns. Told me it would normally be $765 but he would do a special for me $599 for the misunderstanding. I went with it. Only to find out that the service consisted of sticking a shop vac attachment down each vent and return and then spritzing the vent with a sanitizer afterwards. Horrible value. I will be following up with my credit card company to file a claim. He was there for maybe an hour. No commercial equipment. Joke.

To get straight to the point, I’m giving a one star review for the following reasons:

    - Bait and switch
    - Huge Mess and effort to clean up work

If you’re interested in the details, see below.

    The bait and switch

Here’s a direct copy of the contents of the confirmation email from safe house.

"FOR THIS WEEK, we charge a fixed price of $189 ((regular price $289)) for one unit, which includes the cleaning of unlimited supply vents and a return intake vent.

For the second unit , we applied 10 % discount, the charge is $170 for cleaning of unlimited supply vents and a return intake vent."

The total price for the cleaning is $459 for two units. Notice that there are no qualifiers stating that this is only for basic cleaning.

When the tech arrived I received a call to inform me that the discount prices would not be honored as my ducts were dirty and required a special “deep cleaning”. All of this can be done for the bargain price of $499 per unit bringing the total to $998. This qualifier, that the special prices only applies to special cases where basic cleaning is required, should've been included in the original quote from Safe House. Under normal circumstances, I would cancel the cleaning due to a lack of communication and transparency in the bidding process. However, having made a commitment to my tenant to get the work done, I authorized cleaning on one unit.

    The mess
    - "Here’s a direct copy of the contents of the confirmation email from safe house."

    - “We use a portable HEPA-filtered High Pressure Vacuum cleaning to remove the buildup the ductwork.”

Picture a large truck (portable) with a high powered vacuum capable of sucking (and containing) all of the debris from your duct system. Actually, picture two guys, a cloud of dust, and a shop vac with a HEPA filter.

The actual process that they use to clean the ducts is as follows:
    Turn on the furnace.
    - We’ll use the furnace to blow the contents out of the duct because we don’t have proper duct cleaning equipment.
    - Run a snake up the duct to dislodge the contents of the duct and allow the furnace move the contents from the duct to your house.
    - Use a shop vac to pick up some of the debris
    - Provide little to no containment. Let the homeowner pick up the rest.

Unfortunately, my tenant had to endure this process. He stopped the techs as they were leaving to ask why they weren’t cleaning up. They said it “wasn’t that bad” and left. My tenant spent over 8 hours cleaning the mess.

I contacted Safe House to review this process and seek fair compensation. It’s clear that I did not get the service that was advertised at the price that was quoted. As compensation, they offered to give me a $100 credit on a subsequent cleaning. Great, let me pay $399 (originally quoted at $189) to have Safe House move the contents of my duct to the rest of my house so that I can spend a day cleaning up after them. No thanks.

Tony, was a courteous and informative air duct cleaning technician. When he made an appointment to install a new part, I waited a whole afternoon and he never showed up and didn't contact me. I had to contact him two hours after the appointment time. He needs some additional training and instructions to contact the customer first thing if he is unable to make the appointment he said he would come.

My father recommended this company to us. My wife and I have two kids (one of them has respiratory allergies) and we moved into our house about three years ago. As far as we know the air ducts were never cleaned so we wanted to take care of it asap. I’m more than happy to report I was very happy with the service.

I was having issues with my dryer and Yakir came out and he was a rockstar!! He worked with me relentlessly until we figured out the problem and I can’t recommend him or Safe House’s services more. They were professional, timely, and provided great customer service. If you need help with your air ducts give these guys a call 😃

I had asked for "air duct" cleaning through Safe House, and was quoted a price of $249. When the tech came, we ended up with a price of $437. We were told that I was only quoted for the "air vent" cleaning. We were looking to get our entire duct system cleaned as we have been having issues with our AC, and our AC repair company suggested getting it cleaned. In short, I was told one service and one price and ended up getting a different service and a higher price.

Lied straight to my face saying they sent their own tech out. Tech arrived and had a difficult time communicating. His truck was from a general contracting company, nothing to do with duct cleaning etc. I called the dispatch and they put me on hold twice for over 15 minutes to answer my question of 'who did you send to my house?'. Fair question if you ask me, you want someone inside my house, I want to be able to confirm the guy you sent is the correct guy that wants to be in my house for a couple of hours with my family.

Lots of excuses and reasons but ultimately confirmed that they contracted someone else to do it (after promising me they only used internal technicians). I don't take kindly to people lying to me - just level with me and I'll be much more likely to trust you.

There are lots of other options out there for getting your ducts cleaned. I'd choose a company who is honest with its customers.

Please read before you make a decision! Overpriced for what you get. They literally walk in with a shop vacuum and a drill. They attach the drill to the brush (which you can find on Amazon for $30) and they vacuum your air ducts and returns. The initial quote was in the $200's then of course they arrive and give you the sales pitch of needing to do a deeper cleaning and they will spray disinfectant and antifungal in your ducts etc. Etc.. (which they did not do.) Nothing was sprayed into our system and we were charged. It was part of his sales pitch. Oh but we have no proof since we never received the receipt. He didn't even bother to go check the furnace or change the filter out after "cleaning" the ducts when he said it specifically blows down. We asked him to check the furnace and he declined. We were charged $600 for something we could've done ourselves for much less. It makes me sick that people are getting away with the scamming and Overpriced services. This company looks good on paper but they are not worth the money, especially during these times. Please do your research and hire someone who will do the job efficiently from labor to pricing.
We made the mistake to dig deeper about duct cleaning after this experience and realized we got completely taken advantage of. He even took the tip without hesitation and basically ran away after that. I wouldn't have given him anything! We are good people with good intentions and got screwed... that's a big chunck of change to just give away. So disappointing and left us in a tight spot. Also, he left debris inside and outside of our house after clearing the dryer vent. All that was left on our patio and some in our home for us to clean post duct vacuuming. We were told no mess would be left behind...
    Not worth your money!

They were flexible with scheduling, working around our schedule. They did everything exactly as promised, including calling a half hour ahead and being exactly on time. The technician they sent was a very friendly and thorough professional. He had a good sense of humor, and we were very pleased with the service.

Recently bought a new dryer and had the ‘Check Vent’ light come on several times while trying to dry a load of laundry. Decided to call around and get the vent cleaned out. Called these guys and was quoted a price of $79, with $10/ft if the vent is longer than standard (10ft I believe?) Guy shows up and measures our vent to be 15ft and quotes me $199. Huh? He says it’s because he’s going to do a deep cleaning on the vent (shouldn’t that be done anyway?)

Whatever; I decide to go with it. I just want the vent cleaned well so I don’t have to think about it. After the service is completed, dryer is STILL saying ‘Check Vent’. Decide to get up on the roof and check out the exhaust vent for myself, as I’m now convinced it’s a problem with our new dryer. I get up there and low and behold, the exhaust vent is COVERED in dryer lint. I clean it out myself and wonder why the hell I just spent $199. Dryer works perfectly now.

Avoid this business if possible. Only reason I gave 2 stars is that the service guy showed up on time and was polite. If that’s worth $199 to you, then this is your business! If you want the job done right, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Update: After being contacted by Safe House Air Duct Cleaning customer service department. I see that they take their company complaints very serious. I was contact by Aliza who stated she was truly sorry for my experience and offered to rectify the issue. Cleaning the dryer vent as came with the package.
Eddie returned and did an amazing job explaining in greater details what the issue was and did not rush as I felt the first go around. As I stayed before he was pleasant then and still pleasant there after. Please note as a customer we wish for a great job the first time. However, making the time to return and satisfy a once unhappy customer means a lot. Please don’t give up just contact them directly and advise them of your issue...as they did me hopefully they are able to do to you all. Thank you both Aliza and Eddie for making feel like you deserve my business in the future!!!

I truly needed my vents cleaned and shame on me for not thinking to get them cleaned sooner than later. I found what I thought was a great deal on Craig’s list $150. I spent $585. I was told a deep cleaning is what I needed and for 7 vent and no dryer vent that was the cost. I was taken advantage of as I waited a full day as the appointment date I set was missed due to their worker having a doctors appointment? My first mind was to cancel and I should’ve. My first mind was to shop around and I should’ve. The nice gentleman who took advantage at a time of need Please Know For Sure GOD DOES NOT LIKE UGLY! I will never do that again and would suggest anyone else to turn away. After seeing what I thought only a professional company could do turned out to be something I could have done with a rented vacuum from home depot and cleaning solution. It was truly just a $75 job😔

Edit after a few more visits… Dryer has not been working. A very kind technician came out and cleaned the vent but nothing was repaired. He had to come back multiple times. A new dryer was purchased by my landlord, and installed.. still doesn’t work. Technician came out again, he was very kind but did nothing but ask me to run the dryer and ask us questions. The technician was very very nice, but he was having me do all the troubleshooting as if I’m the technician and no luck. No solution..

This was an absolutely terrible service. Our tech was not friendly, and I felt uncomfortable being chastised by someone we were paying a substantial amount of money about the level of dust in our vents. Our tech then left deep gouge marks in our floors, drilled new holes in our brand new baseboards to install vents crooked instead of using existing holes , and took little care when taking vents off of walls destroying drywall. We understand mistakes happen, but the tech didn’t even acknowledge the damage and simply left the house without telling us. I was texted for feedback, which I provided, and was provided a standard text response without apologies for the damage done to our home. DO NOT use this company. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Our A/C was struggling during a warm spell, so I called for a maintenance check. The technician arrived within 45 minutes and was thorough, explaining each step. He efficiently cleaned and tuned up our system, leaving it running smoothly. The difference in air quality is noticeable. Highly recommend!

They provided reliable and high-quality HVAC service.
