I hired Ascend Construction to complete energy efficiency improvements to my home. They showed up on time, worked diligently, and showed genuine care for my property. They placed protective coverings where applicable, and vacuumed after their work was complete. A before an after blower door test showed a 30% increase in air sealing...which is significant.
I recommend this company to anyone looking to save money on their monthly utility bill, or improve the climate comfort of their home.

Ascend Construction was recommended to me by another insulation contractor. They were easy to work with in regards to bidding the job and scheduling. This was for insulating a cabin attic in a semi-remote area. The crew arrived as scheduled with all the equipment and material needed. The job was finished in a few hours to include a full cleanup of the area. Everything was handled in a completely professional manner to include photographs of the completed work.

Ascend insulated the cantilevered areas of our home, the floor over the garage and knee wall area above our garage, as well as the rim & joist in part of the basement. We were very satisfied with the workmanship and cleanup. They’re very easy to work with and very helpful.

We hired Ascend to redo the crawlspace insulation on an older mobile home with a pretty minimal workspace. Ascend was to remove old batt insulation and put in vapor barrier on the floors. They noticed the environment was pretty damp and suggested a radon fan to dry the ground and that was a helpful strategy. Greg, the project manager, was good to work with, very responsive, professional and knowledgeable. Ultimately the work that was done I was not very happy with. The crew decided not to pull out all the insulation as we had contracted and left about a quarter of it in place without telling us. That was a big deal to me as we were trying to minimize rodent nesting areas. The vapor barrier was left unsealed in several areas which was also upsetting. They did a decent job with the radon pipe installation after drilling through the siding twice. Ultimately I feel the mediocre work was likely due to the small crawlspace clearance. However, I mentioned that up front and asked if they wanted to see the space first and they did not. My guess is they would do a better job on newer buildings, but I wouldn't recommend them for unusual jobs.

Did a fantastic job insulating my garage while adding an exhaust fan. They subcontracted out the drywalling which could have gone better though. Four and a half stars rounded up.

Ascend construction was great to work with. The whole team was polite, prompt, communicative, and attentive. I felt like they really took the work seriously and wanted to do the best work they could. The crew took great care while working in our home for three very hot summer days and they did a great job. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for insulation/air sealing work. They've also been very helpful in ensuring we will get rebates through Efficiency Works.

We had Ascend out on an Efficiency Works insulation project in January 2022. Let me start by saying we were mostly pleased with the work and crew. Their project manager Greg Marshall was the issue. He was condescending, unprofessional, and refused to return our contacts to discuss the questions and small issue we had. It has been six weeks since I requested a phone call from him with no reply. We have been unable to apply for the rebate program because it requires signing off that the work was satisfactorily completed which it was not yet. We did not receive adequate communication about the timing of services, the areas crews would need to access and have cleared, or the fact we would need to be out of our home for a day from Greg but instead from the crews on site the same day the services were performed. When we reached out to him, his responses ranged from curt to rude in tone and were always incomplete. I was really excited to get this project done and it represented a huge investment for us of over 10K so not being able to get a simple phone call back to make right some nor issues or have any of the details communicated in advance of the project was a really surprising letdown. Still hoping for a call from someone from this company. Again, the labor and crews seem largely well done but I would never recommend this company due to the (lack of) project management and communication.

This company did a crawl space encapsulation and radon mitigation system for me. They were wonderful. Great guys, on time, left the place cleaner than it was. Highly recommend!

Connected with Ascend through the Fort Collins energy rebate program. Talked with Lizzy on the phone and Chris came out for the estimate. Super easy to work with and great communication all around. We decided to have our attic sealed (spray foamed) and new blown-in insulation installed. When it came time to do the work, Pete and crew were all very polite, professional and kept our home clean during the process. Again, communication was outstanding. Never was I wondering where we were at in the process or what was happening next. Work was completed on time with no outstanding issues. Highly recommend and will use them again for future projects.

Everyone at Ascend was incredibly warm, helpful, and professional. They did an excellent job with my installation, and were communicative at every step. Further, they helped explain how to apply for a rebate from my energy company and walked me through the tax implications in a clear way that made everything go smoothly. I cannot recommend them enough!
