We were so happy with Blue Spruce Horticulture from start to finish.
Stuart did a great job and was always easy to deal with. He and his terrific team were on time and worked hard to make sure we were happy with everything.They were very knowledgeable and did a number of things above and beyond what was expected. We can't say enough good things- You'll just have to have them landscape for you and you'll see for yourself. It was a pleasure doing business with Blue Spruce. Our thanks.

Stuart and his group of hard workers did a fantastic job. Blue Spruce Horticulture is not a big operation. Some days it was just Stuart. Other days it was Stuart plus one or two. So the job did not get done quickly. But, the knowledge and advice offered by Stuart will likely make our investment much more successful than the money we spent several years ago on a big name landscaper. All off the big name landscaper trees died despite our best efforts to keep them alive. Stuart recommended more suitable and beautiful trees and required irrigation installation. Stuart listened, advised and gave us an education and came in well below budget. We are happy and looking forward to the new growth.

We had a great experience with Stuart and his crew! They were very conscious of our budget and worked with us to meet our needs. Stuart was responsive to questions and helped us to make decisions along the way. We did a full front yard xeriscape and are phasing it into two stages. It was great getting to start on the project knowing that we could do more in the following year. We're excited to see how all the plants grow in and what we might want to do next.

I contacted Stuart at Blue Spruce and had him come out to give me a bid to remove some sod and design/install new landscaping. He was prompt on his visit, gave a reasonable bid and kept to our agreed upon schedule. Stuart and his crew were friendly, professional and efficient. I was very pleased and satisfied with their work and plan to use Blue Spruce for other projects. I would recommend Blue Spruce for any type of project.

I very much enjoyed my work with Blue Spruce Horticulture. I contacted them looking for some help with pruning and maintaining specific existing plants and they were more than willing to help with that. They also identified a number of areas where some new plantings or changing of plants could really improve our landscaping and I really resonated with their recommendations. It's clear they have experts in horticulture on their team and they know a lot about what kinds of plants do well in different settings here in northern Colorado. They were easy to schedule with, were on time and completed in the windows they expected. Overall, they are highly recommended, and I would use them again.

We can't say enough good things about Stuart and the whole team at Blue Spruce. Stuart has been with us from day 1, collaborating with other professionals and managing all phases of major design and installation projects. The results are a huge upgrade to our property, from a neglected, scrubby lot overrun with weeds to a naturalistic design that greatly improves the curb appeal of our home. The Blue Spruce team has created a welcoming feel and one that fits perfectly into the native landscape. Stuart has been supportive of our desire to focus on low water varietals that will hold up well in the Noco climate, and to break large projects into phases that are improved upon each year. He is creative and responsive, always open to field questions and offering reminders to ensure our new plants get the proper care all through the year. 5 stars!

Working with Stuart and the Blue Spruce Team was a great experience. They completed the work in a timely manner and the craftsmanship on our raised beds is fantastic. The Blue Spruce Horticulture team designed and built a crevice garden for us and the results are outstanding. Stuart and Kevin with the help of Miguel were fantastic to work with from material and plant selection, to planning, and creation. The craftsmanship of the stonework and planting is absolutely beautiful and has completely transformed our space. We’ve already received so many compliments from neighbors! I have really enjoyed working with Anna Redfox with Alpine Gardens. She handles our property landscape and it always is top notch. She is also transparent and easy to get ahold of.

The level of care, professionalism and attention to detail far exceeded all of my expectations. They took my project personally, they listened and anticipated my needs to offer suggestions that did not even occur to me. I value Alpine Gardens and look forward to an ongoing relationship with them.

Worst customer service. Was out here at the house to fix a system issue. Couldn't figure it out but took the check withhim that was left behind for payment. Rescheduled for yesterday. Didn't call, didn't show. I called them and Brett their service supervisor said his employee got tied up on another job. His employee didn't call. Brett says he will call you when he's on his way Saturday but you will be his first service for the day. He will be there at 8am... No call, no service tech. Don't waste your time with these people. Wish they could give negative ratings.

I had Alpine Gardens install my backyard landscaping last summer and they were great. The installed a sprinkler system, planted a tree, put in the sod and did rock and paving stones around the sides of the house as well as putting in a pergola over my back patio. Evan Moore was the project manager for this job and was fantastic to work with- he was very timely in his communication and responded to all of my questions and requests. Alpine got me in on their schedule to get my work completed even though I requested the work done later in the summer when they were already pretty busy. Everyone at Alpine with whom I interacted was very professional. I have had my yard in for about a year now and am very pleased. I also enjoyed the complimentary sprinkler blow out this past fall.

Alpine Gardens and all of the people we worked with were great! Everyone was very accommodating and responsive and we would use them again in a heartbeat.

As I sit here and read all the wonderful 5 star reviews of this company, I feel it necessary to give my honest review of what we have had to go through with their lack of follow-up of issues we've had since 2023. I will say their design of our landscaping is beautiful but that's were it stops. In December of 2022 we contracted through Jonathan Kitchens to have our landscape designed and installed the following Spring of 2023. The design was exactly what we wanted and turned out beautifully once everything was completed. Now here is where things go down hill. Several of the trees and plants seemed to be dying when installed but we were told it was due to shock and they will be okay in time. We took them at their word because landscaping is their business. Well, that didn't happen. One tree, that we paid quite a bit of money for, the Austrian Pine, had signs of dying when it was installed last year but we were assured it was due to shock. Well, It completely died and after many phone calls, many emails, it was replaced this year with a tree that was inferior to the original tree that was big and full. The new one looks like the equivalent of Charlie Brown's Christmas tree. The bushes that were replaced, are now dead again and there are 3 trees (one in back and two in front) who continue to struggle. These trees struggled when installed last year but, again, we were told it was due to shock and they will be fine. Well they're not fine and they continue to struggle. Then we find out Jonathan is no longer with Alpine and we were sent Cody to assess the situation, who we found to be rude but he's done nothing but give us lip service and, who acted as if we were just people who complain when he had to replace the Austrian Pine. When we pointed out that the replacement was nowhere near the same as the original, he acted annoyed. I suppose we should've been grateful that they even replaced the tree. The biggest and most critical issue is the sprinkler/drip system that has caused constant flooding especially on one side of our home. On the other side of the house the grass is dead! Once again, after calling and emailing, Cody finally came out to assess the situation where he outlined how he would have the problem solved. Okay, that sounded perfect and we waited, and waited and after again having to call and email, someone came out, who never introduced himself, who didn't seem happy to even be there and who brought two women to help, who clearly weren't sure of what they were doing. All they did was move the drip system hose higher up on the one side, and left. It did nothing because the flooding still continued. Through extreme frustration we ended up having to call another company to come out and assess the situation and, lo and behold, within 10 minutes they were able to determine the problem and scheduled time to come out and fix it, which they did! It took another company 10 minutes to determine the issue, then fix it, something that it took Alpine a year and still didn't fix it. The problem was a broken line, the drip system was missing emitters, and some of the emitters were pushing out too much water, as well as the wrong sprinkler heads were installed in some places and were not positioned properly. So, can I give Alpine 5 stars across the board? No, I cannot especially when we had to spend additional money to another company to fix an issue that Alpine should've fixed a year ago and now we are having to spend even more money to replace the trees and bushes that have died or are dying. As I said in the beginning, their designs are beautiful, but the follow-up when it comes to solving issues is seriously lacking. Maybe it's the crew we were assigned to, but still the followup service we were given as opposed to the initial money we spent, was poor. To say we are more than disappointed is an understatement and we will never recommend them to anyone.
