This is the second spring that I have had Hurr Vasa design and install landscaping for my home in Loveland. On both occasions, this professional contractor has listened to my thoughts, designed an approach and then implemented the agreed-to plan. Most importantly, the foreman on site for this contractor has spent the time required to discuss his approach to the work and has bent over backwards to help maximize this work. I am delighted by the care and attention, not to mention the professionalism of this professional firm.

Nate showed up on time and fixed more sprinkler repairs / issues than I thoght possible in less than a half day of work. When I got the repair bill it was more than fair. Great service, got to work and the job done , no excuses or dilly dallying.

It has been an excellent experience working with them. Our grass was back within two weeks. We needed some adjustments and Dan helped us out. And the app, Hydrawise is very easy to use.

We contracted with Hurr-Vasa last year to execute on a landscape design for both the front and back yards at our house in midtown, Fort Collins. This was a near complete makeover, including xeriscape landscaping, new concrete steps, ponywall, and walkway, a new deck, and installation of an irrigation system. We scraped the surface and started over.
We are pleased with the results and are enjoying watching the new plantings emerge. The new landscaping adds depth and new perspective to both front and back yards. It’s a thrill to move through this new space.
Landscaping to this extent can be trying and requires patience, communication, and commitment by both client and contractor. Hurr-Vasa did their part. The staff excelled at showing up when they said they would and performing the transformation we had requested. The landscape architect who ran the job was responsive, calm, and articulate. Both crew and management communicated well. When contacted they responded. The follow through was solid. The project manager provided working solutions to the various problems of geometry and proportion that inevitably crop up. He guided us through a couple of issues that had confounded us.
This job had a number of parts that required other contractors: someone to build the deck, another to tear out the pony wall and steps, then replace them. Other specialists were needed to apply the new facing stone and to design and install the steel hand rails on the front steps. The Hurr-Vasa project manager located and subcontracted with those other trades due to his experience and tenure in the community. Early in the job it was clear to me that we had found the right outfit to work with.
This was not our first full scale landscaping project so we had already experienced the sticker shock accompanying this much work and materials. If you are unfamiliar with these costs please take a calm look at the proposal and talk with your project manager. Breathe.
I give Hurr-Vasa high marks. My only frustration stems from the same issue facing all the trades on the Front Range - a thriving need for workers. This is where our patience paid off. Hurr-Vasa stuck with the job and completed the many tasks to satisfaction. We will continue to do business with Hurr-Vasa.

We have used Hurr Vasa for various jobs over the past several years - Planted new bushes and tress with drip lines, built a new walkway, performed several winter sprinkler blowouts. They're not the cheapest in town but there's a reason for that. You get what you pay for. Good quality, professional service are worth it!

These guys are very professional and do great work. We are very satisfied with the work they did at our home but I was even more impressed by their willingness to help us work through some other issues we encountered throughout our project. Their customer service was excellent and I would strongly recommend giving them the opportunity to work on your project! They provide the kind of service you hope to receive from a contractor. They're a quality company I would recommend to anyone with a landscape or irrigation project.

I had a sprinkler head blow out of the ground when I was testing my system. I called Hurr-Vasa, and Josh came out to fix it. He did a great job and even switched two other heads that I wanted to exchange. He was very friendly and helpful, and I really appreciated working with him. Thanks, Josh!

We had Hurr Vasa come do a sprinkler survey of our yard. Proposed and fixed all of our watering issues. They were amazing. Great response with minimum tearing up of the yard. New sprinkler heads work fantastic!

Hurr Vasa completely redesigned our front and back yards including sprinkler system, sod, landscaping, patio, dry creek, etc. They were awesome. Not only did they do a great job, they were responsive when questions came up.
Even years after their service they are a text or a phone call away whenever something comes up.

We had a wonderful experience working with James Long of Hurr Vasa on our large landscaping project this spring from the initial design process all the way through to project completion. James’ team handled many projects for us, including replacing our front garden bed (with both hardscape and plants as well as re-routing drip line and burying gutter downspout), planting additional trees, pouring a cement sidewalk spanning the entire side of our house (including a trash can storage pad), pouring a cement pad for the A/C, expanding our concrete patio and covering both the old and new part of the patio with concrete pavers, building and installing a gas stone fire pit (including trenching from the front of the house for the gas line), installing smart lights on our patio and along the cement walkway, creating two garden beds in the backyard with a drip line, and replacing inefficient sprinkler heads with high efficient smart sprinklers. From the first meeting and until the job was done, James was professional and attentive to our requests while also suggesting additional ways to improve the projects while staying within our budget. The end result of our patio is gorgeous, and so much prettier and better done than we even imagined when we first sought out help with our ideas. James patiently met with us and explained his reasoning and ideas and kept us updated on his work and expected completion times. There were never any surprises, and if something in one area ended up being a little more expensive than initially planned, he found a way to reduce our costs in other areas. The final cost was right in line with the initial estimate. His team also did high quality work and addressed all of our minor changes along the way. They worked impressively fast as well, especially given the multiple surprise snow storms we had this spring that required adjustments to the plan and redoing some of the concrete work. All-in-all, we were very pleased with how James handled any hiccup along the way and with his desire to make sure we were happy. We cannot say enough good things about our experience; we would absolutely recommend him and his team to anyone looking to do landscaping projects.

We hired Hurr Vasa to landscape our Old Town property and they did a great job. The scope included design, installation of a large paver patio with a gas fire place, stepping stone pathways, sprinkler system and new sod. They were professional, timely and responsive. I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering a quality landscape contractor.

Professional from start to finish! They were quick to give us our design, quote, and get started. The work was meticulously done, I saw a measuring tape multiple times, ensuring symmetrical spacing and even distribution of plants! Our backyard looks beautiful, we wouldn’t change a thing!

Excellent attention to detail and prioritized my satisfaction as the customer. PM was excellent at troubleshooting and very knowledgeable. Would not hesitate to recommend or use on future properties.

Fixed a programming problem on our sprinkler system that two other companies said required a new control box. Informative, professional, and courteous. And saved us the cost of new equipment and labor. They serve high end clients yet treated our little problem like we were their most important client. Highly recommend!

Hurr Vasa, James, the entire crew, and subcontractors all did excellent work -- what began as a small fix-our-porch task blossomed into a tremendous improvement to the entire front of our house and property under their planning and guidance. Hurr Vasa's team coordinated with multiple vendors, subcontractors, et al, communication was great, pricing was fair and competitive, the work progressed quickly and professionally, and clean-up was thorough. Highly recommend.

First Class operation . We called on short notice for a full design/build on our backyard. James was very responsive and knowledgeable. Project was completed on time and within budget. Exceeded expectations and would definitely recommend.

Highly recommend, five legit stars!! We worked with James for about 1 year in developing the landscape plan for our home. His goal was to create something that we wanted, we went through several iterations of the plan over several visits and phone calls. Arturo and his team had such finesse in building our rock wall, leveling paths, and creating beautiful lines. They checked in repeatedly to make sure what they were creating matched up with what we wanted. Good cohesive team that created an awesome final product. Everyone was professional and friendly through the whole process.

Hurr Vasa recently installed our sprinkler system. James designed the system and Dan and his crew did a great job of installing everything. Once complete you could barely tell lines had been buried. As a part of the final inspection/testing of the system, they even made adjustments to the original zones to ensure coverage in all conditions. Very courteous and professional throughout the entire process.

By far the most rude people I have ever seen. Well I was sitting in the bank drive thur they pulled up beside me and turned on the leaf mulcher. Sending dust and leafs everywhere. Just had my car washed and you couldn't tell. Would not recommend for anyone and would never use their service. I even called the company and still have not heard back from them. I’ve used Hurr Vasa for several jobs, including replacing a manifold, and splitting a sprinkler zone. Always professional, and when things didn’t go easily or surprises came up, James always made sure it got taken care of.
