Our cottonwood tree was hit by lightning, we knew it needed removed but were not sure if we would do it ourselves or hire out. John came out right away and gave us a great price on removal of that tree as well as our russian olive, making the decision easy. They had both trees down as well as clean up in about 2.5 hours. John is so knowlegable about trees and was helpful in giving replacement recommendations. We have already referred them multiple times.

John provided excellent service and helped us understand what was needed to keep our trees healthy. Initial response was prompt and the appointment was made quickly. Upon arrival he covered all that needed to be completed, branch removal, pruning and treatment, then gave me an estimate for the work, labor and removal. Upon reaching an agreement on scope of work the appointment was set and work completed. We are extremely happy with the final results and he even gave a Veteran discount! I would "Highly Recommend" John to anyone who cares about the health of their trees.

Five stars all around. Mountain Cat Tree Care is fairly priced and extremely professional. Johnathan has great phone and in person communication. He raised the skirt on two of my evergreens. The clean up left my yard better than it was before he worked. I will only go through them for all tree projects in the future.

John and the MCTC team were great! Communicative, competitive estimates, and did the work fast. I had several trees pruned and had stump grinding done on a bunch of stumps. The result is fantastic and they cleaned up well after themselves.

Excellent work. I highly recommend John and Mountain Cat Tree Service. We hired him to prune a couple trees (one in the neighbor's yard overhanging our fence). His estimate was competitive and the work was extremely professional: prompt, polite, efficient. Maybe the most surprising was how quiet the whole process was. John uses electric chainsaws and ropes (no cranes). I even thought the wood-chipper was quieter than others I've been around. John is an owner/operator who takes pride in his work and it shows.

John did a great job with my trees! They were in a tough location next to a fence, and no damage. He cleaned everything up nicely too. I would definitely contact him next time I need tree work.

After shopping around and speaking to several tree removal companies in Boulder County, we finally found Mountain Cat! Their service and professionalism was top notch, and the price was more affordable than the other quotes received. We had a very large dead maple tree, in a tight area to be removed. I imagine the job was very technical and they handled it expertly. I highly recommend John and the Mountain Cat team for your tree removal needs!

Got some dead trees out and a massive overgrown tree trimmed so nicely it looks like a new better tree. Reasonably priced, I'd definitely go with them again.

Johnathan came out and trimmed 3 very large mature trees for us. He was super respectful and communicated really well from the initial quote to the point the job was finished. I wanted them to be heavy handed with the pruning and they were as much as they said they felt comfortable with to protect the health of the trees. They gave us good information to care for the trees over the next year to make sure they stay healthy. His quote was reasonable and he and his partner did a great job with our trees. I would highly recommend him.

John and his crew came and removed multiple dead branches from my 60 foot cottonwood tree. The issues were the branches were very hazardous to my house and when we were outside under the tree. Also, the tree has a fungus that is killing the tree that john recognize when he first came out to give me a quote. I knew something was wrong with the tree but didn't know until john educated me. I did appreciate his expertise. They cleaned up the area after the cutting. I plan on having them back to do more work.

The team helped us take care of our Ash tree by treating it, and helped us remove a 60 foot Douglas Fir in our yard. The tree he took down was an absolute monster and they worked quickly and efficiently. The yard was cleaner when they left than when they got here – haha.
