We had a great experience working with Metal Mechanics to replace our AC recently. They were able to "squeeze us in" to get a timely quote (thanks Steve for stopping by "on your way" back to the office one late afternoon), which was lower than several others. It took a couple of weeks to get it scheduled but considering that there were other companies that couldn't even give us a quote in the same timeframe that was totally reasonable. Michelle was super responsive and communicated well when it came to scheduling etc. -- thanks! The guys that came out to do the actual work were professional and did a great job and were able to get it done in the time that was scheduled. They also
answered all of our questions and were patient while doing so -- thanks!

We arrived home after being away awhile at 4pm on a Friday with the temperature outside below freezing to find our heater not working. We called Metal Mechanics, as they had done great work for us before and they were more than responsive. They sent Mike out after he had finished with his normal work to look at our furnace. Mike arrived at 6pm and found a chewed hose. He left his tester hose in place for us to get through the weekend and they returned the next week with a new hose and our permanant fix. I highly recommend this company!

Another company had told me I needed to spend upwards of $8000 to replace my furnace. They punched a hole in my ductwork to tell me that maybe sometimes they were getting a CO2 read of ONE ppm. I called Metal Mechanics for a second opinion. They charged me half the cost for the tech visit, told me my 13 year old furnace should still be under warranty and that 50 ppm would be a concern. The tech adjusted the gas flow and replaced the filter, and told me to schedule a maintenance call in two years. He even went the extra mile and adjusted the temperature on my newly installed hot water tank after that came up in conversation. I really appreciate the customer service and honesty, and will definitley be a repeat customer! Highly recommend Metal Mechanics!!

I called after hours and left a message. My phone call was returned that night and the next day they were at my house. I didn't have air conditioning. I was very happy that they had the part on hand and I was up and running within 45 minutes of Michael's arrival. For the two previous visits they had to clean the air conditioner and I asked them to put a humidifier in my furnace. Their prices are extremely reasonable and I've had great service for the three times I utilized them within the past 2 years

my ac was not working. it was 85 degrees in the living room. I had to move my 80 year old mom to the basement.
Michelle was there and took measurements the same day I called for help. I had to wait a week which I believe to be reasonable. They began at 830 AM and were done installing a new furnace and ac unit by 2 pm. I called to complain that it was still 80 degrees in the living room not realizing they had just finished with the install. A service man was there after hours to check the work. By the next day the unit had caught up and there are no issues with this install.
Price was more fair than the other quotes for what i was getting for my money.

I presented a complex challenge to Metal Mechanics - a complete decommission and replacement of a Geothermal system with a high-efficiency Furnace, A/C, and Water Heater. Because I was selling my house, the job required that the work start immediately and be completed in a couple of days - during the winter months!

They carefully listened to my concerns and crafted a solution that addressed all my needs at a fair price, and work was begun immediately. They brought in their highly skilled team to quickly remove and replace all required components, and test for proper operation. They also made sure to thoroughly clean their work areas - which was critically important because of the planned sale.

This was - hands-down - the best experience I've ever had with any company. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner! As a result, the house sold quickly, and the new homeowners will enjoy this new system for many years to come.

I woke up to a cold house the week before Christmas. The motor on my 16-year-old furnace had seized. I called Metal Mechanics, and Michelle was able to get their service person to my house in less than an hour. Kyle figured out the problem right away and located the part in stock in Fort Collins. He picked up the part after finishing two other jobs, and had it installed within 4 hours of my initial phone call. Everyone that I dealt with was professional, knowledgeable, and so darn nice!! I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I’m always behind with reviews, but these guys are amazing and so honest! When our AC went out in the summer of 2023 we got quotes from 4 different companies. 3 out of the 4 told us our entire system needed replaced and quoted us anywhere from 3.5k to 7k. These guys came out, tested for a leak and let us know we had a small coolant leak. They filled it up for us and the problem resolved and we have had zero issues since. Only cost us a few hundred to repair. They saved us thousands by their honest business practices. I would recommend them to anyone!

After an inspection of our furnace from another company, we were advised to replace it due as it was over 12 years old. We doubted that, we called Metal Mechanics not only they came the same day but quickly diagnosed that the furnace was 8 years old and a simple quick piece replacement would fix our issue. In less than a week, everything was working and for a very small price compared to a full replacement! We really appreciated the expertise, quick action and honesty!

This company stands behind their work. Men arrived on time. They exhibited a demeanor of compence, efficiency and kindness. All the workmen cleaned up after themselves, including the electrician. When I first got a quote, Steve impressed me with his honesty, knowledge and confidence in his service. I knew I could trust what he was telling me. The job was going to be done right.

Our boiler failed on a cold winter day. Mike was able to get our boiler replaced within 2 days. Mike and Michelle are a great team. They will handle your heating and cooling needs quickly and get it right the first time! Metal Mechanics has our highest recommendation!

Highly recommend! My nearly 20 year old furnace stopped heating just before our crazy sub-zero temps and of course on a Thursday night. I called Friday mid-morning and Kyle came out that afternoon. He diagnosed that my board was going bad and needed to be replaced, they were able to locate a new board and replace it later that afternoon and my furnace has been running great (even with -20 degree outside). Michelle (in the office) was super responsive and Kyle did a great job and was so kind and helpful! I am thankful to not have to replace my furnace and appreciate that the goal was to get my house warm and not try to sell me stuff I didn't need. This was the first time I called them (my previous hvac company closed) and they will now be my goto company for my house and my recommendation to others!

This review is intended for anyone looking for a Responsive, Trustworthy, and Reliable HVAC Contractor. Over the holidays, my 20-year-old furnace began whirring & thumping. A good friend has used MMI for decades and referred me to Michelle & Mike (Co-owners). On the last Sunday in December, I left a voice message; Michelle promptly called me back. Mike arrived on Monday morning to address the initial problem - a flame rollout switch that tripped with high winds. Scott was later dispatched to assess the whirring & thumping that started on New Year's Day; it was determined a new inducer motor & collector box (for water) would get the system up & running again (parts were replaced by Kyle before the week was out). For future reference at my request, Michelle submitted to me a quote for a 2-stage, 97% efficient Lennox furnace. Metal Mechanics Inc was a golden recommendation I received, and now I am paying that gold forward!

We were having a family memorial over the weekend and people coming to stay at the house. We had a frozen coil. I called Metal Mechanics at 8:30 AM after the neighbor recommended them. By 11:20 AM they were at the door. Fixed the problem and now we can have people stay the night. I really appreciated their quick service. And the price was very reasonable. I hired Metal Mechanics to take care of some HVAC-related work on the house we just bought and couldn't have been more happy with the entire process, from quote to completion. Dylan, Logan, Jake and Kyle were all so respectful and communicative as they worked and now it's such a relief to know who I'll be calling the next time I need work done. The best part? Kyle from Metal Mechanics came to our house to check out our AC, which stopped working right before our first 90 degree days. We were prepared for an expensive fix, even though the unit was just past the warranty period. He did a great job finding the root cause(frozen compressor) and then suggesting a fix that would avoid replacing the compressor. The fix worked. We're very pleased with the work that Kyle did and won't hesitate to call Metal Mechanics for any future issues with AC/furnace at our house.

I can't say enough good things about this company. They were put into a strange spot with a realtor dispute and showed up with professionalism. They came out a few times to complete the job and at each visit they were on time, professional and kind. They did an AMAZING job (we had to have a part fabricated) and when they left, you couldn't tell they had even been there (very good work and clean). I couldn't be happier with Metal Mechanics. When Mike came by to give me an estimate, I was considering replacing both my furnace and A/C. After looking things over, he recommended doing just the furnace since my A/C was still in good shape. How often does that happen? I had planned to get three estimates, but the one he gave me was half of what the first company quoted so I decided to go with Metal Mechanics. Michelle in the office was awesome with communication, and she took care of my Excel rebate, the city inspection, and registering the furnace. The three person crew who installed the unit was on-time, hardworking, informative, and showed great respect for my home. I would highly recommend Mike and Michelle with Metal Mechanics. They are top notch and helped us when another local company completely dropped the ball and let us down. We called the company that originally installed our AC (Swan) when it stopped working. They told us our compressor was bad and were working with the manufacturer to get it replaced under warranty. After a week and a half without AC and being completely frustrated, we called Metal Mechanics even if it meant paying out of pocket for the repair. When I called, Michelle said they could also do the warranty work for the failed compressor and I didn’t have to use the company that installed it. They came out the same day and had us running in about an hour. The compressor wasn’t even bad. The condenser was dirty and had tripped the computer. Mike cleaned the condenser and reset the computer and voila, we had AC. He even texted me later in the evening to make sure it was still working.
