Folks were nice, they went to go check for a leak at one of my properties. They went over, ran the shower for 30 min and charged me $500 just for that service, then said they didn't charge me for the second guy that was there so it was only $225. Not very familiar with the type of work they do, but that is a very high price for a service call if you ask me.

Good repair, but unethical practice.
I had an intermittent gas leak and Xcel shut my service off on a Friday. The Xcel repairman suggested Kahar. They came out near the end of the day (4:15) and quickly found/fixed my gas leak. When I received the bill I thought there was a mistake on the hours, so I called to ask about it. They had the owner call me back, and he was immediately defensive and argumentative. He said they billed me NOT ONLY for the hours the job took, but also for the driving time of each employee FROM THEIR PREVIOUS LOCATIONS AND BACK TO THEIR HOMES, and for EACH employee separately. He then said, this was common practice and that "everyone" does it.
His answer seemed beyond belief, so I checked.
I called four other local plumbers and found out NONE of them charged for "driving time," and ALL of them charged for the job, not the number of people who work on the job. The result of this underhanded billing practice is that I ended up paying for 5-1/2 hours of after-hours labor for 2 hours of actual job time (including paying one guy to just wait for the other guy to show up).
Pad your hours on your commercial contracts, not on your neighbors.

We had them install a new water heater 5 years ago. It started to leak bad so we gave them a call this morning. They showed up by noon, inspected it, and said it was a bad water heater that would be covered by the warranty. They already had a new one in the truck and had it installed in under an hour. After it heated up, there was a new leak near the main shut off value. Called Jeff, he sent Corbin back out (after 5pm) and he replaced the valve. No charge, no runaround, just honest professional service. Can't recommend them enough!

I had the unfortunate experience of hitting a water line with a drill bit when installing a safety grab-bar in our tub/shower. After shutting off the water, I called American Air (our Lennox service company) and asked for a recommendation. They said, "Kafar" and gave me their number. Their scheduler declared my issue an "emergency" and I soon received a call from Jake, who estimated his arrival at 11:50 a.m. He arrived right on-time and immediately went to work from a closet located opposite the shower wall of the bathroom. From an opening cut in the drywall he cut out the damaged piece of copper line, and carefully soldered a splice in place. After checking his work with the water back "on", he then installed a flanged, removeable access cover to eliminate my having to do drywall repair.

Jake was very courteous, soft spoken and quietly-efficient as he went about his work. Finnishing up, he vacuumed the closet carpet, leaving me only the lingering embarrassment of having hit the line in the first place.

And--much to my surprise--he did not ask for payment! Instead, he explained that an invoice could be expected withing a week-to-ten days. My recent experience with another Loveland plumber was quite the opposite: Credit Card payment was expected--using a cell phone pay system--immediately...at an outrageously, mind-blowing amount!

If I should ever need a plumber in the future, I'll call Kahar Plumbing. I would give them more "stars" if they were available!

This business is great! I was having a run around with another plumber that was going on two weeks. After getting irritated I called Kahar and they sent a plumber over within 30mins. They replaced my shower kit within the hour and were on their way. Thanks again!

I have used these folks several times for issues at my home. They are honest, reasonably priced, and prompt. My experience with them has truly been excellent. I will call them any time I need service, without question. It's hard to find service you can trust anymore, but you can trust this business.

Kahar plumbing is a very professional company!! From very quick response and accommodation of multiple appointments to extremely efficient and helpful plumbers... Brandon and Shannon were two of the nicest guys we came across during the remodel of our bathrooms! Everyone with this company was extremely thorough and had great customer service. I bought a townhome back in May from a couple that replaced a number of things in the unit before listing it, including the water heater. I just received a letter in the mail yesterday from the city that the permit is about to expire and the final inspection was never done so it is open per city records.

When looking up the permit, I found Kahar Plumbing had been the ones to take out the permit and do the work. This should've all been handle by Kahar back in April when the unit was installed. Now I have to scramble to get an inspection by the end of the month or have to pay a fine. Make sure they have the final inspection performed before closing books!

I had a great experience with Kahar. We had a old solar hot water system from the early 80s that had to be disconnected before we could remove it from our roof. It was still a functioning system so i was concerned about it being disconnected and drained properly. The technician knew exactly what needed to be done and it turned out great. Price was very fair. Highly recommend!

I used Kahar for my recent remodel and they were so wonderful to work with. Jeff, the owner, is very responsive and gives personal calls back to discuss the work. All of the workers that I dealt with were very professional and did an amazing job. Its difficult to find good companies this day and age but I couldn't recommend Kahar enough.

Kahar was great to work with. They helped us during a bathroom remodel. They came out when everything was opened up then again at the end for the the finish work - tub and shower. Can't explain how professional they were through the whole process. Excellent communication, polite plumbers, and solid work. Can't ask for more. Use these folks!

Great company to do business with! Very prompt and professional service. The owner, Jeff is a kind and professional person. Office members are also very friendly, helpful, and prompt at returning calls. After having another “big name” company come out and give us an extremely high quote, including unnecessary work, we contacted Jeff as a referral from our exceptional Realtor and friend, Sara Bennett. Jeff and his team successfully installed a back water valve for our 1950’s house, and worked with the city to ensure inspection and permit completion.

Kahar installed all the plumbing in our new custom home. Really awesome & thoughtful on little details, like offering to install shower heads alittle higher because we are tall... we would never have thought of that until it was too late... they happily accommodated our last minute changes... a pleasure to work with on a big project!

We lost our hot water in a household with small children. Jeff Kahar responded quickly. He had to order parts from out of town, got them here quickly and did a speedy repair. His crew cleaned up well after completing the job. We were very pleased with the workmanship/quality. A very good experience!

Needed a p trap replaced under my washing machine. My pervious plumbers quoted me for $3000(JT plumbing) and I did not feel this was right. Ryan came in and got right to work and was transparent with the work that was being done. Out within an hour. They then quoted me for $300. My leak was fixed and my system was completely replaced efficiently. Love to see plumbers who are honest and enthusiastic towards their work. Will definitely be recommending/hiring them again. Good work fellas!

Kahar did a great job with our remodel! They were always on time, best price, most professional, and were lenient to our quirks. I highly recommend Kahar and respect Jeff's knowledge & expertise. They walked us thru the entire remodel from layout, permitting, and the actual work.

I used Kahar for my basement finish for a gas line upgrade (added kitchen range and patio bbq stub outs) as well as bathroom and wet bar plumbing. Jeff did the bidding, was great to communicate with from start to finish, even helped talk through ideas and why he suggested certain things. We had used Kahar Plumbing twice before and had always been really pleased with the quality of work. Today we worked with Brandon for the first time and we were blown away by the quality of work he did! He was so professional and knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing and why to the level of our curiosity and understanding and made several suggestions to us about improving the functionality and life length of some of our appliances. When you have a plumbing emergency, fast response is always high on your priority list. Respectful and knowledgeable technicians are an awesome bonus, thankfully I got all 3 with Kahar Plumbing. I was woken at 1AM by a loud bang and the sound of rushing water, raced downstairs to find water pouring the ceiling and raining in the dining room. Shut off the water to the house, called Kahar at 8AM and even with a busy schedule, Tyler was able to arrive around 1PM that day.

He located the general leak, asked permission to cut into the ceiling drywall for access, and had the tools to remove a large section cleanly and assess the problem. He had the parts on his truck to fix the issue (failed fitting in the wall behind our 30yr old garden tub), got the water back on, and confirmed no other leaks. All that and a great attitude, plus the final bill was very fair for a high priority call. Well absolutely use them for future plumbing needs, and will likely have them upgrade my old water heater to a tankless system when that time comes. Thank you Kahar for standing out, local small businesses are still the way to go over larger chains. 5/5 stars for sure!
