I had the pleasure of contracting Eric Honea for a full remodel of my ranch style home. In our initial meeting, we discussed my ideas and considered options and practicalities. Eric took detailed notes and measurements and over a few days prepared a draft scope of work and floor plans.
After a few follow up discussions, we agreed to the project plan. Eric quoted the labor cost and provided a shopping list of materials (tile, flooring, cabinets, fixtures, etc) that I would buy directly and have available prior to starting demolition.
Eric was helpful during the purchasing process, answering questions and reviewing choices prior to purchase for installation considerations and practicality.
During the implementation, Eric worked diligently and tirelessly, doing most of the work himself. On my project, he brought in some helpers to assist with the installation of flooring, tile and paint.
In addition to the quoted labor cost, as the job proceeded, Eric obtained and itemized the building materials needed for the job (doors, pipe, lumber, trim work, electrical supplies, paint, etc).
End result: I could not be more pleased. Thanks Eric!

I am always concerned when hiring a contractor. Many years ago I hired a bad contractor for a basement and it was a nightmare. The last basement I finished I hired someone that was good but continually added extras that were way above market so I fired him midway through the project and hired my own subs to finish it. I mention this because now I fully vet a lot of contractors before finally settling on Honea Construction (Eric). I hired Eric to do a very complicated high-end bathroom project. This included a steam room and a sauna. I could have bought a sauna kit to build it but decided to get a better quality of cedar and add my design preferences. Eric wanted me to have all the things that I wanted in the garage before starting. Eric started the project on the date he promised. He worked diligently from 9:00AM -7:30PM six days a week. I appreciated it since the completion date would come sooner than later. Eric was open to changes that occurred from such a complicated project. This project exceeded my expectations and looks GREAT! I highly recommend Eric! He did a great job!

My wife and I renovated a powder room into a full bath adding a shower. Honea quoted a price upon acceptance of project and held true to it. The shower built replaced a closet by removing an existing wall. All labor seemed to be done without any breaks. Plumbing was routed without changing any existing plumbing. Tile was cut and placed by an artist. My wife and I are very happy with the outcome of the project and with the advice of Eric when we weren’t sure on what we should do the bathroom turned out great. We highly recommend Honea construction. They’ll be doing or kitchen next.

This is the second time I’ve hired Eric to remodel a bathroom, and once again, he exceeded expectations! I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Eric and Honea Construction & Remodeling. It was my first major remodel of something, he came to our home, listened to our requests, took notes, and made it a reality. The bathroom he did could not look more beautiful! He gutted our old bath and everything was replaced. He protected our wood floors, worked very clean, and when he was done, he did a thorough clean-up of his work area. His price was very reasonable compared to the other proposals and frankly his work was so good that the cost was irrelevant. We are going to remodel our kitchen, and I cannot imagine using anyone else to do the work. Thank you very much Eric, it was a pleasure being your customer!

Eric worked with us on our primary bathroom remodel and did an excellent job. He met with us promptly and provided an easy-to-read contract and a sketch of the proposed design within one day, all at a very reasonable labor price. We recently had the pleasure of working with Eric and Honea construction. Eric finished our basement and built out a new bathroom/shower and all plumbing from scratch. We are extremely happy with the finished product and it so much better than we had expected. He turned our old dingy basement into the best place in our home. We are so pleased that we already have plans for him to return and renovate our main bathroom. He is quick efficient and is easy to work with. We highly recommend Honea Construction you will not be disappointed!

Eric just finished his second project in our home. The bathroom remodel he did for us was absolutely beautiful. He and his team did great work and were attentive to details and making sure installation and placement were optimal, even with things I hadn’t thought to ask. We will definitely be repeat customers if we have another project in the future!

From first contact to finished project, Eric was helpful, patient, meticulously detailed and professional. His advice on design, materials and color were incredibly helpful as we moved for concept to completion. Really solid, quality workmanship should not be “cheap” but the pricing was great considering the outstanding result. Costs were clearly defined along with the scope of work and any changes we made along the way were more than fairly priced. If you are reading reviews as you consider a contractor for your project, we can confidently say you won’t find better than Honea Construction.

Do not buy carpet from these people. 1.) Their "7-10 day" guarantee is worthless. 2.) they try to sell you way more carpet than you need for a job. 3.) they have an annoying "oh well, what ya gonna do" attitude when they screw you over (by, for example, not showing up). Did get a refund but had to eat the 50.00 measurement costs.

Overall this is a great place to go and pick up your self install weekend warrior project supplies. Passed that I'd go elsewhere though... Got cabinets and flooring that were way delayed close to two months and an additional 2k pric after everything was said and done.

The best ever

We had some new led lights installed and upgraded our electrical panel. They are very professional, prompt and kind. They left no mess and made sure everything was working properly before they left! I highly recommend this local company!

Backyard lighting, fans, and misters are ready for summer! The technicians were super insightful and friendly!
