If I would've known then what I know now I never would have spent $15,000 on a walk-in tub.
Due to my medical conditions and lack of mobility I found it very difficult to use my traditional whirlpool tub.  I could not get in or out of it without assistance.  Since i have always loved my baths we decided to get a walk- in tub instead of a accessible shower.   After waiting months for it to arrive it was finally installed.  Unfortunately it had made things worse for me.
In addition to having Osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia I am also considerably overweight and left handed.   The door to the tub is not wide enough for me to fit through it.  I have to turn sideways and squeeze through.  The support handles are designed for right handed people so the only thing for me to grab is the tray that settings out that is supposed to hold a drink, etc. It is not designed for that and it's going to break.  Once I get in I have to squeeze the door past me to get it closed.  It drags across my stomach and hurts.  It's the same getting out but in reverse.  Not one of the sales people ever considered my size or my lefthandedness when discussing the unit.  Also,  sitting in that straight upright position hurts my body so much, even with the jets  that I  hurt more than when I  went in it.  It's now a chore to take a bath. I wish I  could have tried it before we bought it.  After contacting Fox Valley about it they came up with a lame external support pole for support for getting in and out but it  wouldn't have helped and I never heard from anyone again.... what do they care? They got their $15, 000.

Just had my shower redone and it looks outstanding! Rich and Dave are the best, great work and very professional. Nic and Autumn are also great to work with. So glad I went with Fox Valley. Highly recommend them!!!

This company really cares about their customer. Sales rep had great suggestions for my shower, price was a bit cheaper than other quotes I received. The installation was smooth and quick! I highly recommend Fox Valley!!

The guys arrived at 8:30am. Unloaded all their supplies and laid down tarps. David, Mike and Rich were so nice, I felt like I'd known them for years! I tried to stay out of the way but when I did go peek in they didn't mind at all. At 4:03pm all the paperwork was done, all the clean up was finished (even my front stairs)and what a beautiful job! I couldn't be more pleased. From dealing with Al for the estimate and finishing up today I recommend that anyone looking to have bathroom work done call Autumn at FVHS!

Rep came out, did measurements and showed me material options. Everything was plastic, pre manufactured to just be glued on top of your current walls. I thought it would be a cheaper option, because remodels are usually done in 2 days. I requested a glass shower door, and was told a rod and curtain would be better for my space. I also requested a toilet relocation to just a foot away and facing a different direction and was told that was not possible. I had my own toilet, new sink and mirror that I had already purchased.

I was quoted over 16,000 dollars for this remodel, and I couldn’t wrap my head around how that price tag could be justified, and that was on top of a “discount” that was applied.

I was lucky to find a different company, with very honest, hardworking people that quoted me 5 thousand dollars for their labor, and I would pay for the materials I wanted. They brought me samples matching my taste and likes. I purchased porcelain tile and stone flooring, they were also able to move the toilet to exactly where I wanted it and added the glass door I requested. They provided me with receipts for everything they bought and I reimbursed them. They did this beautiful work in a week and it ended up costing me 8 thousand dollars including labor and materials. I wasn’t given a lifetime warranty, but I was able to get the bathroom of my dreams, and I’m definitely hiring them for further projects. So make sure you shop around and get at least 3 quotes before you settle on one company.

The walk-in tub installed by Fox Valley Home Services was installed poorly and when the tub flooded due to no caulking they would not stand behind their work. They feel no responsibility for the damages caused by the flood. The tub is now a storage area as I am afraid it will come through the ceiling when filled. I would not recommend this company for your walk-in tub.

The whole experience from beginning to end was comforting and perfect. Nick came out and assessed our layout and walked us through the entire process . Lots of options to choose from too! The price was the lowest from all my estimated and the quality top notch! When choosing payment Options Autumn was patient and helpful making sure we chose the right option for our family. The workers who came to install the tub were hard working, funny, and caring. They wanted the job to be done right! They really cared that the person who needed this tub , my disable bet husband , was comfortable with the final results! I would recommended this company to anyone. The people make this complaint great- the product just as good !

The tub had problems since it was installed. They forgot to turn on the cold water and forgot to add caulking between the tib and wall. Didn't used the shower for a while and when I did it flooded my downstairs. Fox Valley took no ownership in their fault for the flood. I never heard back from them after they came out to inspect. Oh, and btw,, if you think you are taking out a personal loan to pay for the tub, surprise, they will put a lien on your home. The walking tub decreased the value of my home substantially. And, an appraiser told me these tubs waste water and are not practical. Decreased the value of my home by $20k. I wouldn't get a walk in tub, and least of all from Fox Valley.

9-16-2023: haven't used the tub since the flood. Imagine my surprise when I found water dripping from the behind the tub water connections. You were looking right at the drips when you came in to inspect when the flood happened. Either you loosened the connection or you saw they were loose and you did nothing. Your shoddy installation continues to damage my home.
Warning to potential customers... get another company to install the tub.

What a great tub! My tub purchase and install went about as well as any project could. I decided on an Ella tub. Ella is by far the best tub in my opinion!
I contacted Fox Valley home services to discuss the project. Nick, the owner, and Autumn, the Director of operations, are very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Interestingly, I completed all discussions and contract completion via FaceTime as I was away for the winter. Viva technology!
The Fox Valley home services installation crew arrived at the appointed date and time and commenced work. The crew was very professional, friendly and proficient. They removed the existing soaking tub, replaced existing plumbing and added an electrical line for the new Ella tub— all in one day. They obviously had done this before and they did it in a masterful way. Next day, the Onyx was installed around the tub to beautify the job. And every day since, we have been enjoying our wonderful therapeutic spa!

Fox Valley Home Services by far has exceeded my expectations.
I generally wait to post about a product or service provider. This so I can objectively assess their service after placement of product.
I had (2) bathrooms completely remodeled, not only was the product perfect, but the aftercare of service is in a league by itself!!!!! EXCEPTIONAL.
Between, the owner checking in, Rick the Field Supervisor and Autumn in the Operations completely responding courteously to my few questions post install….. This is a FIRST RATE company to put your $ in and know you’ll be an important part in product satisfaction and service delivery..

I recently had Fox Valley Home Services replace our old shower with one of their sleek new showers. What a difference. It's beautiful! Paul and Napo came out on a Monday for the demolition and prep work. Paul finished up the final touches on Tuesday. These guys were great and very professional and courteous. My wife hated the old shower. She's elated now that the new one is in. I would recommend these guys without hesitation. Great company to work with.
