Our lawn needed to be leveled with new topsoil and grass seed after 2023 flood damage and after the first guy to help us did more damage than help. Steve and his employee, who are both very personable, got it done in no time and it looks worlds better than it used to! Our driveway was in rough shape. We hired Hogan Excavation to do a driveway regrade and resurface, as well as prep for a patio.
We could not be happier with the work done on the driveway our cars and pocketbook appreciate it. We look forward to using our patio in the spring. They also did a couple other small bonus projects while the equipment was here. I would recommend giving them a call for your next project.

We got our roof and siding replaced from Catamount Construction and are very pleased with the quality. Within 2 weeks of contacting them both jobs were done. The crew was courteous, efficient, and left our yard cleaner then what it was to begin with!

Waited 6 weeks but no Alan. He sent out workers to take pictures to give quote.(we live 3 miles from eachother) then after not getting the qoute for 3 weeks, alan reached out to say he hadnt forgotten about us, 3 weeks after that and no still no qoute. 6 weeks total and had to find a company that respects humans enough to call them back. All we have is our word, when you tell somebody youare going to do something/anything you should be human enough to communicate if you cant do it. ghosting is a sign of (fill in the blank)

2018 Chevy traverse I’m very pleased with the service there. They took great care of me. There were some complications after the purchase. They had no problems fixing it. I would refer anyone to please give them a try.

We are so thrilled and relieved to have found Catamount Construction. They replaced our roof and skylights this fall and the entire process, from beginning to end was amazing. Greg, who came over from Grand Isle (he's a local) to give us a quote was respectful, patient, and helpful. The team who came to do the work were among the most hard working and courteous folks I've encountered. One small but very impactful example of this: unlike any contractor I've ever hosted at my house they all TOOK THEIR SHOES OFF every time they came through our door. Marilyn, who was working ground crew, kept the place super clean and running smoothly and she was very kind to my 3 year old son. It just felt like having a big group of respectful friends and neighbors doing the job for us. With the hurricane down south, there was an issue with the supply chain for our skylights. Greg called me a few times keeping me updated on his progress to track them down and provided a menu of potential contingency plans if we weren't able to get the lights in time. He was able to find the skylights locally and get the job done on time without any issues. I really appreciated being kept in the loop throughout the process and all the work the team put in. Unlike some other roofing companies, these guys are a small operation and looking to please. I highly recommend. I'll be using them for any other jobs. Our new skylights and roof look amazing and I'm thrilled they were able to squeeze us in before the winter.

Had an excellent experience getting work done on my house! Justin was super nice and very thorough. I had new kitchen and mudroom floors installed, along with other handy work done around the house. The work was done quickly, messes were cleaned up, and most importantly Justin made sure that everything was done the right way. Would absolutely use Vermont General Contracting for any of my future home repair and remodeling needs!

We had a small job that most larger companies would pass up. Kyle responded to my inquiry and provided an onsite quote the next business day. Rather than delay the job, his crew offered to work four hours on the weekend and get it done for us.

I would definitely call this company back, if I have any home issues or home renovations.
They were excellent on checking out what was needed for the jobs, and set up a time to do the jobs in a timely manner! Even called to give me a ETA on arrival time!
They changed some water lines, and added a new valve on shower plumbing, added a new cold water line on a sink, and put in a new dryer vent!
They cleaned up everything when the jobs were completed also…

Vermont General Contracting exceeded my expectations on painting my back porch and concrete stoops. Kyle, the owner, was great to deal with from the start — his estimate was spot on. Note he does not markup the material costs. He held my deposit for two months and didn't cash it until after the job was done. His worker Shawn did the actual work — pulled off the old torn screen, repaired the woodwork, and painted it. Shawn even saved me from buying a new screen door by fixing the one I had. Shawn took real pride in the details and everything looked perfect when he was done. My advice: use them.

Kyle has been a great help completing several projects, including building a second floor deck and a balcony. He is very communicative, gracious and easy to work with. He let me choose the project elements that were important to me (color, style, etc) but made it easy with suggestions, thoughtful questions and guidance. I really appreciate how quickly they were able to get the work completed. We can’t wait to start a bathroom remodel next.
