Our technician, Mark Garcia, did an outstanding job! He arrived on time, explained the process and what he was going to do, and did it! The room was left dry and clean and ready for the next step. I would recommend ADR to our friends and associates if such services are needed in the future.

Thank you Alert for the graffiti removal in my alley & thank you to Alex who answered all my questions and made sure the job was done efficiently! When I need more work done around my home, I know who I’ll be calling.

Franky and his crew were oustanding!!! We had a water leak in our kitchen that caused mold to growand from the very start but they made the whole process smooth and stress free. Franky was incredibly thorough and everything he recommended ended up being exactly what needed to be done. We had a few other restoration companies come out before, but none compared to his knowledg attention to detail, and professionalism. He even helped me find the leak!
He walked both my mom and me through everything answered all our questions and making sure we felt comfortable the entire time. Franky was super responsive, even late at night when he didn’t have to be. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients. Highly recommend him and his team! -
Alert Disaster Restoration was there when we didn't know which way was up or down. Since we travel a lot we let them take it from demolition to full renovation. Brad the project Manager was outstanding and Gerson who worked with us to accommodate our travel arrangement was nothing but outstanding! Hopefully, we won't have another fire but if we ever did we wouldn't even think twice, we would use Alert Disaster Restoration again and again!!!

I recently contacted Alert Disaster Restoration for emergency mitigation work and while the technicians were helpful, I want to warn other homeowners about the contract they require you to sign. After reviewing it carefully, I found several non-standard, extremely aggressive clauses that homeowners need to be aware of before signing anything.
1. Full Assignment of Your Insurance Claim
Their contract contains a clause that assigns ALL of your insurance rights to the contractor, including the right to collect your insurance checks and even pursue claims against your insurer in your name. This is not standard in the mitigation industry and gives the contractor full control of your insurance claim.
2. You Are Responsible for Any Amount the Insurance Does Not Pay
The contract states clearly that even if the insurance company disputes their pricing, you are responsible for 100% of the difference. That means if they overcharge or insurance disagrees with their invoice, the contractor can bill you directly.
3. 20% Overhead & Profit + Open-Ended Time & Materials Billing
The agreement allows them to charge Time & Materials with a 20% markup on top, with no clear cap. This creates an open-ended bill that can climb rapidly.
4. Large Daily Fees and Extra Charges
The agreement also includes daily fees for equipment monitoring, PPE charges per person per day, storage fees, moisture monitoring fees, and more. These costs can add up fast — and again, you must pay the balance if insurance refuses part of the invoice.
5. Contract Lets Them Place a Lien on Your Home
If the insurance company delays or denies any portion of the invoice, the contractor can place a mechanic’s lien on your home, even if the work is already paid for by insurance.
6. Forced Arbitration & Waiver of Legal Rights
You must agree to binding arbitration, which removes your right to a court trial and limits your ability to dispute unfair charges.
7. The Contract Auto-Renews Monthly
The agreement automatically renews each month, which could extend charges longer than expected.
---
⚠️ Conclusion
Before signing anything, I strongly recommend reading their agreement line by line. Many of the terms are not standard in the restoration industry and put the homeowner at a serious financial and legal disadvantage.
Always protect yourself — ask for changes in writing or consult a professional before signing. -
