NC Deck & Railing did an absolutely great job in re-working and extending our deck out to twice the size that it was. The owners, Corey and Paula Mitchell, have been wonderful to work with.

First of all, beyond the exceptional deck work, Corey and his crew members were respectful, courteous, answered any and all questions, raised questions for me to make sure I was happy with various things that came up as the deck was being worked on.

The personal care and attention to make sure everything was done well and correctly was shown throughout the deck being worked on.

My wife and I decided to replace our 30 year old wood deck back in April. We chose NC Deck and Railing to do this work. We found Corey Mitchell and his work crew to be great to work with and they did a spectacular job! We chose Timbertech Decking with RDI Steel-Inserted-Handrail system.

Now that the deck is done we are very happy with our choice of products and with everyone at NC Deck and Railing! The quality of the labor, decking, railing, as well as advice on how to address our needs and desires was excellent. We would heartily recommend them to all!

I appreciate this company so much and the work they did on my deck in the summer of 2024. The level of expertise displayed, from the estimate by Corey to all the hard and meticulous work by his team, and the finance, billing, and scheduling from Paula. The quality of the work and the product is super. I did not feel confident with those from other companies who gave me estimates. Had a great experience with these guys on a teardown/rebuild of a 2nd-story deck. Final product looks great and was done with care and quality. There was clear, consistent and professional communication throughout the project. Would definitely recommend.

We faced some local permitting and HOA hurdles, and they helped us through each one. The craftsmanship is top-notch and we couldn't be happier. Was kept informed when delay for permits happened. Crew worked through some challenging weather and did an excellent job. They tore down an old deck and replaced it with a new deck and railings. We are very pleased with the outcome. Company was very prompt in answering our questions during the process. We would not hesitate to use them again!

My house is 54 years old. NC Deck and Railing really showed their expertise in building my new front deck, my new front porch and my new screened in back porch. Of course they ran into some bad wood and replaced all of it, The price I paid for all of this was very much a bargain for what they did.

I had five different companies come out to quote us on replanking an existing, large wood deck in TimberTech composite decking, putting on new railing, installing a wrap around our elevated deck, and screening in the porch area. Corey was the ONLY person who looked at the existing deck and immediately saw and knew several structural things that needed shoring up to ensure our investment would be well supported and he saved us a lot of money by showing us colors in the TimberTech line that were very similar to the ones we originally liked.

The crew (Brian and Juan) were great, gave attention to a lot of detailed work, and Corey was regularly present to see the progress.

If I could give 10 stars, I would and it would be well-deserved. We are so glad to have found NC Deck & Railing Company, have already recommended them to neighbors, and will continue to tell anyone who asks, "don't bother calling around - just call Corey and Paula!"

I chose NC Deck & Railing Company after having 3 other companies give me estimates to replace and enlarge my deck. I stopped by their office on Wendover Rd. and Paula was very helpful in setting up a visit and estimate. Corey came by soon after and listened to my ideas on what I wanted in a deck. He made suggestions that I hadn't thought of that made the deck much more accessible and pleasing. The work crew that did the demo of my old deck were very thorough and cleaned up all the old debris. The install team was polite, efficient, and competent. They relayed any questions I had to Corey and I received answers promptly. I was so impressed with the quality of products and workmanship that I am also having NC Deck & Railing build a screen room over my new deck.

I am super pleased with my deck project via NC Deck & Railing.
Unfortunately, my old deck needed to be taken down for safety reasons. My project involved the removal of my old deck and replacement with a safe, functional, and good looking new one. I confess that have no experience with deck construction nor of local codes for decks. This whole project was a new undertaking for me.
NC Deck handled every aspect of the project with professionalism. The project moved forward swiftly. From my first call with Paula, to Corey’s initial visit to assess my situation and provide a proposal, to the crew neatly delivering all the supplies, to the workers doing all the take down and put up work, to the on-site supervision and all the related details, NC Deck was great to work with. Communications were clear and abundant. Explanations to my questions were happily given and easily understandable. Work quality was excellent! Clean up was superb.
In addition to their professionalism, they all were genuinely really nice people! That was important to me. I would certainly strongly recommend NC Deck and Railing for any project!

We are very pleased with our new deck and screened porch. We met with four other companies, and North Carolina Deck and Railing was by far the best choice. They listened to what we wanted, worked with us to stay within our budget and gave us ideas to build the porch just as we had envisioned it. Corey was easy to work with and Ross and his crew were professional and kept the lines of communication open, checking with us frequently to make sure we were getting what we wanted. I had an excellent experience with NC Deck and Railing. Corey and Paula were very easy to contact, easy to schedule, and easy to discuss the project with. We had a front porch put on our house. They were able to start sooner than we expected and finished in a very reasonable amount of time. The price for the project was much lower than general contractor quotes we got. The value for the cost of the project was great. Workers were nice, considerate and cleaned up after the project. Very pleased with the structure, workmanship and outcome. Excited to put our finishing touches on it come spring time. Any issues that arose were dealt with quick and easy. I would absolutely contact them again for any future projects.

PHI decks did a wonderful job with our deck.

I was made aware of the company by a co-worker who had her deck re-done the year prior. She told me she had done extensive work/research talking with several companies and felt Phi decks was the best company with a fair price. She was very happy with her finished product.

From the start, the sales representative Patrick was very responsive and friendly. He was able to show us a 3D rendering of the deck prior to moving forward with the project. We went to the show room and saw the rendering on a big screen and talked through colors and materials making us feel more comfortable with and excited about the purchase we were about to make.

The deck build happened ahead of when we anticipated which was great. The onsite crew worked efficiently and were able to explain issues that came up adequately.

Following the build, excess materials/waste were picked up quickly.

The overall finished project is exactly what we wanted. The team did an excellent job. We would recommend this company to any friend or family member looking for a new deck!
