We had Highland rebuild a front porch and build a new deck for our house. Kyle was extremely professional to deal with. He was very good about giving us guidance into what types of issues may be encountered, as well as design ideas for the project. He was very timely in his communication and his estimates were prompt and accurate. His Crew, Christian and Mark were extremely professional, as well. Kyle clearly knows how important it is to underpromise and overdeliver on services. He was able to get our project started and finished early and in budget. I would definitely recommend Highland Construction if you are looking for professional, high-quality work.

Kyle (owner of Highland Construction)did an amazing job on our deck. It wasn't an easy build because not only was it a big deck but he needed to build around a hot tub and certain details needed to be done for safety purposes and Kyle handled it like the true professional he is. We also asked him to make a built in table on our deck and it turned out beautiful. Kyle and his crew Mark and Christian were very professional as well. I would absolutely recommend Highland Construction for future projects.

I cannot express enough how impressed I am with this company. We first contacted Highland in the winter for an estimate.Kyle worked with us to provide a couple different options within our price point, and was very communicative in the months leading up to and during the project.

Kyle and his team are great communicators and craftsmen. Highland Construction just knocked out my front and back entry decking replacements and they are beautiful! The quality of their work is repeated on every job they've done in my neighborhood (which happens to be several now). I’m very pleased with the results.

Kyle and Alex built a medium sized porch for us and I couldn't be happier with their service or the porch. I used to write construction contracts for my job and have seen my fair share of construction site in which the contractor tries to save a buck or two by cutting some corners. I observed the work every day and saw the time and care they took to make sure the treated lumber joists touching soil were covered with a protective covering to ensure maximum lifespan. This could easily have been one of those corners that lesser contractors may have cut. They were on time, reliable, and didn't waste time while on the job. I didn't see them standing around talking on the phone or browsing the internet. They never once asked for anything from me, not even the restroom. I even didn't have to listen to some loud music I didn't like as I sometimes see on other construction sites. Their conduct and work ethic are wonderful. They subcontracted for helical piles that went about 6-7 feet down to ensure the deck would remail stable when the earth settles. The subcontractor was likewise respectful and job focused when on the site. We opted for the high-end trex product instead of traditional lumber. I really like the imitation lumber grain in the higher-end trex as it gives the feel and appearance of natural wood but a longer lifespan. The finished porch looks prettier than I imagined. I had though the pieces would be installed in a straight line, much like the house siding, but they installed it at an angle and it adds so much class to the overall look and appeal. Again, I have no complaints and could not be happier with the company and my porch.

Absolutely blew me away with my beautiful new deck. Kyle was super easy to work with and stayed in contact from the time he gave me a quote to time the deck was built which spanned a few months. Crew showed up on time and were friendly. I am so happy with their work that I plan on having them rebuild my back deck next summer. I cannot speak highly enough about Kyle and his crew. Kyle and his team added a mudroom onto our place last year and we cannot recommended them enough.
It was the perfect amount of communication - taking care of all the behind the scenes steps while keeping us informed and getting input when needed.

Kyle came to give us a quote and a time frame of when the project was going to be started and completed. The fence was started and completed on time and within the quote given. The Highland team completed our deck ahead of schedule and we are extremely pleased! From coordinating early on with Kyle for availability of quote, him educating me to ensure I made the correct decisions by being thorough, through financial milestones in preparation such as deposit/material order prep, and full on execution of the on-site work, this overall process was and EXCELLENT experience. The team is prompt, professional, reliable, courteous, respectful and all around masters of their craft. We will be having them back next season for more projects, and the season after that. My husband and I started reaching out to deck builders in the valley in fall 2020. Kyle from Highland was quick to respond and come out to our house to go over our vision. He promptly returned a quote, and we picked out colors and types from the physical samples that he brought.

Kyle and his team were quick, friendly, and efficient workers throughout the whole process. Workers started on time each day, and worked quickly but thoroughly each day. Kyle was excellent with communication, which was especially important to us as we both work rotational schedules away from home. We got updates after each work day, and Kyle was very clear about the plan for the next day. Aside from final touches, it was completed ahead of schedule which we were thrilled about! We had to return to work, but Kyle and his team made sure to come back after the final touches to give the deck a wash down.

For our design, Kyle pretty much nailed what we had in mind. We are happy that we went with him to demo our current deck as well, as opposed to adding onto our previous deck. Kyle is very flexible with designs, and it seems like the sky is the limit. We went with a simple design, focusing more on square feet than features. We did get black aluminum railings on the sides, steps on all three sides, and step lighting as well. A nice feature that Kyle and his team worked around was a water spigot (see photo).

All in all, Highland Construction produced premium work, and we are happy to recommend them to anyone needing deck work in the valley.

Kyle and his team did amazing on building our back deck this past summer! From discussing our options and designs to the finished project. They were awesome on communicating with us on their progress or if any issues came up. We are in love with our new back deck and is exactly what we wanted. Superb quality!

So many good things to say but I am super happy we got our deck & balcony! Every project has its twists and turns and bumps but like a skilled Alaska bush pilot, our crew navigated us through the project beautifully! Top quality materials and skill to utilize it down to the perfect detail. Entertained my idea changes and brought them to functional fruition, all while minding my budget. Kyle and Taylor are elite-level professionals. I have not seen a construction crew as on point as these cats are. They are the real deal, and they do top shelf work. They built us a deck in two days, that blended seamlessly into our existing landing. It looks like it was never not there. It’s perfect! Thanks so much boys. Highland construction is the bee’s knees! The cat’s pajamas! The cream of the crop! The hamster’s hammock! The yak’s yodel! If you need a deck, outdoor living space, or even a Swiss tree house of the Robinson family variety, Highland construction cannot be beat!

If you’re searching for a deck builder look no further. They just completed our deck with a covered area for a hot tub. They were on site everyday, 7:45 am until 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Kyle and his crew are very professional builders and the Quality of their workmanship was impeccable. They used nothing but the finest materials, they cut no corners, or took any shortcuts and always kept us in the loop if any changes were to occur. I highly recommend Highland Construction for your deck needs, you won’t be disappointed.
