These guys and their team took extra care to maintain my surrounding yard without damage while working skillfully to create our new patio. From the initial contact with Josh through to completion of the work with Kyle, there was attention to detail, great communication and an excellent product. The work was completed in a timely manner and the crew worked diligently to get everything completed. We couldn’t be happier.

The team went above and beyond in several areas. As an example, some of our original substructure was found to be rotting and unreliable, and they corrected all of these cases. We also had some unique challenges fitting into an existing space with some tough curves but the final results look great.

Update after 4 months: we noticed an issue that we missed during the inspection and the team came over and fixed that issue completely. Really appreciated the after-project support!

Platinum Deck and Patio did a fantastic job building our patio. Kyle and Josh were both very responsive and easy to work with, quickly answering all of our questions. They helped us with both the design and with materials selection. Saúl and his team did a great job with the build, and the finished patio looks fantastic. We made a few adjustments to the original plan without any issue, including adding a conduit under the patio for a hot tub. For materials we selected Belgard Dimensions in Scandina Gray with a Midnight color border using 6x9 pavers. The wall is Unilock Lineo Dimensional Stone in Granite color with Unilock Ledgestone in grey on top.

The crew did an amazing job on our patio. From the initial quoting phase to the design consultation and the final walk through everything was taken care of. The crew came out and did some incredible work and had excellent attention to detail. We are so glad we went with platinum and won’t hesitate to again in the future!

The crew was very professional and accommodative of our specific requirements, they made sure it is built exactly to the specifications we desire. Kyle (owner/project manager) was always available and was very responsive on text/call to answer any questions or concerns. Any issues with material color, size etc we’re taken care of immediately. Platinum Deck and Patio did a great job right from the beginning, discussing options with replacing our old wood deck. We decided on a paver patio, in which the patio turned out great. A very dedicated and hard working crew that cleaned up each day. In only one week time, we had a great looking high quality patio. Excellent communication throughout the process, from the very beginning in designing the patio all the way through building the patio. Thus, we would highly recommend Platinum Deck and Patio.

After nearly three years of meeting with many deck contractors to replace our aging wood deck, we chose Platinum for many reasons and highly recommend them. From the initial consultation to finishing touches on the project, Kyle was helpful and communicative. While others specialized in one aspect of the job or another, many seemed hesitant about the site specifics or didn’t seem to have the experience to deliver the finalized project or material choices we were looking for. Platinum was confident about their ability to deal with our site, build our project, provide the design and product choices we wanted and had examples of their work to back it up.

The execution felt smooth to us—even if it wasn’t for them. They remained on (and even ahead!) of schedule throughout the build. When difficulties on site dictated some changes to the construction, they quickly adjusted on the fly. Most importantly, they remained communicative and responsive the whole time. Our previous deck posts were built into a paver patio below and Kyle went out of his way to match materials to cover the voids where the previous posts were removed. He also provided some last minute help to modify our lighting so that we’d be happy with small details others may have overlooked.

Platinum made our project feel easy and the crew worked diligently and amazingly quickly to deliver the deck we were looking for. Thanks!

They have promptly come out and fixed the prior issue I was having with my patio. I would again fully recommend these guys. Quality job and even after the job is finished they have checked in to see how things are and came out to fix any issue I had. Thank you guys again!

Update as of 6/16/25
After some heavy rain, I noticed some edging becoming visible and actually dislodged in one area. I have contacted them 4 times and they have responded saying they will get back with me. It seems that once my final payment was received they have not been as responsive. See pictures for area of concern.

Great company, competitively priced. Executed our patio in roughly 2-1/2 days. Very responsive and called frequently to update us on timeline. Had issues with some leveling of one of the pavers and they were out the next day to amend the issue. Would recommend!

I had a great experience working with Richard and his team on staining my front yard fence. Richard was highly responsive and kept me well-informed throughout the process, especially when plans needed to adjust, always setting clear expectations. The crew showed up on time and did a thorough, detail-oriented job , from pressure washing and applying brightener to staining the fence. The final result looks fantastic and gives me confidence it will last for years. The stain also helped blend in the screw marks, making them much less noticeable.

I talked with a handful of companies about staining the cedar siding on my house and chose to go with South Bay Wood Restoration. From the beginning, Giovanni was very good about communicating the process he recommended based on the state of our siding, and was responsive through the end of the project. Their team sanded and stained all of the cedar at a super fair price. And unlike other companies, they didn’t pressure me to get the cedar restained more frequently than needed.

If I had one minor suggestion, it would be to ask the staff to be careful around my plants, but honestly I would rate the job 9.9/10. When the color didn’t turn out how I expected, the owner Richard wrote me a detailed explanation for why he used a particular stain and the issues with my old stain. I really appreciated the explanation and that his team did a more labor intensive process (sanding all of the cedar siding) than other quotes I received.

When the time comes again to restain our cedar, I’ll definitely be giving Giovanni and Richard a call.
