Sears Appliance Repair

My Kenmore Elite refrigerator is less than three years old. 17 days ago it stopped working. It took 5 days to get a repairman out and another 8 days for the part, compressor, to be installed. Plus he added freon. Cost for me $414.00. The next day refrigerator still not working. Repairman came on that day and surprised that previous repairman did not notice this problem, condenser not working, plus the freon had leaked out. I'm now waiting another 12 days for parts and repair. I have been given another cost estimate, $230.00 that I do not plan on paying for. I have not contacted corporate yet, but they will hear from me. So I'm without a refrigerator for 26 days. I now have to replace everything in my refrigerator and meats that were in freezer. That's costly. The first repairman suggested I buy a backup. Why do I need a backup for a 3 year old major appliance? Sears, since you have been a major appliance retailer forever, you really must do better. This is all unacceptable. I have nothing negative to say about either repairmen. They were both very nice. It's not for me to evaluate their work. I'm not the expert.

The gentleman that came to my home was on time, respectful and had the parts replaced quickly. Prior to the actual service call though, nothing but problems. They rescheduled the appointment several times and we were without our refrigerator an additional three weeks. Thankfully it was all covered under our warranty

Good service and communications. The first tech misdiagnosed the problem but the second one found the underlying issue and fixed it in short order. Quite satisfied.
