Just had Jay here for our
semi annual maintenance. First, what a great guy and it was the best maintenance we've had done since moving to Florida 11 years ago. I recommend Gilman's and make sure you ask for Jay.

They installed a new control panel on my pool heater. They came out and installed a new panel that didn’t work. Then I waited over 1 month with multiple phone calls to install a working panel. Of course their response was all excuses due to Covid. I finally got a new panel that was nothing like my original panel with absolutely no information as to how it works. I placed multiple calls again for some type of manual. Finally after the 5th call I was finally told there was no manual as to how it functions. I was told to call the manufacturer of the panel. I asked if a tech could be sent over to go through the instructions as to how it functions. I was told to give them a couple of days to have a tech over. Well that was a week ago. I strongly urge you if you want a professional company to do any work for you don’t hire them. When you finally get them out to do whatever repairs or replacements you had better hope that the job is done right because you’ll never get any responses from them again!!

Great company, great technicians, I had a new system installed and Don the owner came out, offered a suggestion which turns out to be a more efficient way to cool all the bedrooms and not one of the other companies I had here even mentioned. This company , from the owner to the technicians, namely Gene and Matt , is top notch, and showed integrity and detail in all of their work. I won't use anyone else ! Good guys !

Gilman Cooling and Heating has been a lifesaver. My air went out on a Friday afternoon and they came out that same night and fixed it and saved my weekend. Great company and highly recommend!

I wish I coul give 0 stars. This company has been the biggest thorn in my side for over 2 years! 2 years ago (almost 3 now) we gave them a contract to install 10 units at our place of business. Once they were installed they basically disappeared. No follow up. No offer of maintenence contract even though I asked for one at the very least 5 times (proof available)! When there is an issue they come out, charge $700 to diagnose the problem but NEVER come back to fix it! What a fly by night contractor. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Go with a company that has a proven track record and can serve their customers appropriately. I'm ashamed that I allowed them the contract.

In length: After reaching out to several HVAC professionals for an estimate of installing either mini-splits or central air in my sub-1k square ft 1965 home, I chose Gilman because they offered an HVAC install for just several hundred dollars more than what others were quoting me for just mini-splits. I figured that marginal increase in cost would be well worth the investment.

The proposal was only good for one month, but I didn't have the funds up front, so they gave me a financing option that was entirely pain-free. Ben and Cindy did all of the leg work to get me set up, and the financing company offered an interest-free promo if I paid in full within 18 months. There was an added percentage to the cost for needing to finance, but that was disclosed to me before I signed off on any paperwork, and I deemed it doable and worth it (still cheaper than some other estimates I got for the same work).

The project I hired them for was brand new everything; this house did not have HVAC yet, so they were working from scratch. It took them only 2.5 days (and that was with being short-handed!). Chase and his fellow technician took great care to minimize their inevitable mess.

After all was said and done, the city inspector came out and required some (seemingly minor) improvements, and the Gilman team was incredibly quick to come out and remedy. While the experience was imperfect (we're all human), the folks at Gilman have the qualities you want in someone that makes up for any snafus should they occur.

I would highly recommend Gilman Cooling & Heating! They have gone above and beyond with installing our new AC. Their attention to detail and getting the job done right is just outstanding. I can’t even begin to explain how fantastic their customer service is! The hard work, commitment, and dedication these guys do especially in this heat is amazing.

My ac stopped working on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. I called and Lee came right over. He was extremely professional and nice. I obviously know nothing about ac and he explained what he was doing step by step. He made me feel comfortable and fixed the ac! Definitely satisfied and will recommend this company.

I found my A/C was not working shortly after I headed north. I found Gilman's site online. Based on good reviews, I gave them a call. To my surprise, Lee was on site within hours. He determined the rooftop unit was not engaging. After a quick inside system check, a breaker reset got everything running and cooling.
I signed up for a maintenance contract for peace of mind.

Gilman Heating and Cooling has been a lifesaver this summer! My air conditioner went down and after being led in circles from another company I called Gilman’s. They were out the same day and had the issue resolved quickly after the other company left me for 3 weeks without air. Dave the technician was very knowledgeable and friendly. Very happy with their service and I will continue to use them for all my cooling needs.

I can not say enough great things about this organization. Cindy is VERY attentive and has super great customer service. The techs that we have came into contact with over the many years are ALL outstanding. Big shout out to Chris for diagnosing the issue and Michael and Tito for the install of our new unit. If I had a choice to work with another company, I absolutely would have weeks ago! The manufacturer of my pool heater uses this company for their warranty work so I have no choice in the matter due to my heater needing a new part. It has been a nightmare since day one and trying to call and get somebody out here to look at it, then they didn’t show up for their appointment, nor return phone calls for days. I’ve been waiting three weeks now for a return phone call on my part status. My pool heater has been broken now for over two months. My next call is going to be to the manufacturer to let them know how horrible this experience has been with their contractor.

So this just happened and it needs to be out there. This company is A++++++++++++ INFINITY. Gilman installed my brand new Lennox system a week before Hurricane Ian and everything has been great. Yesterday our system turned off completely and our nest thermostat said no power. My wife and I tried every troubleshoot we could find. I called american home shield and they set us up with another company. They told me they could comeTHURSDAY!!! UGH!!!!!. I called Gilman and the lady that takes the appointments patiently listened to my story and then proceeded to guide me to a drain plug on the handler in the garage. I followed her instructions and pulled the plug. A bunch of water falls out and the system turned on!!! If that's not enough she is working on getting a tech here in the next few hours to clean the drain. Unbelievable and what a difference when it comes to dealing with other companies beside Gilman. Thank you Gilman and looking forward to dealing with you in the future.

This company was the first of 4 contractors to arrive for our estimate. They offered the best price for an excellent product, and offered to do a complete removal of old system + installation of the new system the following day. (that was a day or more earlier than their competitors) So, we of course went with Gilman Cooling.

The next day they arrived as promised, did the whole job, but what surprised me was how they took their time to do the removal, installation work, and sealant work with painstaking detail. Great communication with office, owner, and technicians throughout the whole process. They were great.

We Came Home and Our Unit was not Cooling. We Had a House Full of People! Called Gilman Cooling and Heating, Brandon arrived in an Hour and had our Unit Cooling again in about 20 minutes! So Thankful! We wont ever Call anyone else! Our Business is with Gilman Cooling and Heating!

I can honestly say that consistently, this company has the nicest people I have ever dealt with. We have had a few bumps in the road, but they have always been genuinely helpful and friendly, not just saying the right words and smiling. Overall, I am glad we chose them for our new AC.

This is a family owned business with honest, clean and professional staff. Their work is always spot on and they get out to you when you need something. Best cooling and heating company in Southwest Florida. My rental unit ac stopped. Found out the evaporator fan motor seized, the sensor fried and the wheel to blow air broke. Gilman Cooling was called in the am today and we’re out there in less than 2 hours. Brandon diagnosed and called me. The parts for a Trane unit especially a 2012 4Ton are hard to get. He got them and had the unit up and running in a couple hours. That included chasing down what was needed to do the repair. Great price, great comms and great work!!
