We lost ac saturday and monday we are back up and running. This is the best ac install we have ever had from start to finish. Carl and paul are great at there jobs and made sure every part on the air handler was set up correct and the drain system is super sleek and clean plus to my delight comes with a pan so no wet floors. Smart link thermostate is a must for everyone. Cant say enough about velocity gave us ac unit portable type to cool us till work was done. Thankyou all so MUCH !!!!! Got 3 ton trane xr 16 seer heat pump and looking forward to lower power bill.

I hired Velocity Air Conditioning company on July 31, 2025. The service man showed up on next day as promised. He looked at the problem and said that I needed new capacitor and new defrosting board in my condenser unit. He said it looks like you got hit by the lightning and that’s why the parts failed. I told him that I have a whole house Surge Suppressor installed for my house! He insisted that the surge caused the parts failure. So he ordered the parts and came back after two days. Replaced the parts and A/C still would not cool. He told me that you have a leak in the refrigerant line and all the freon is gone? I will have to put 9lbs. Of freon at the cost of $1100.00? I agreed and ask him why didn’t check the level on first day of trouble shooting? Normally that’s what a good technician do for air conditioning system. No answer. Since, I am a cancer patient my wife wanted the house cooled so it was agreed for him to proceed. Today August 2, 2025 the temperature in the house is 86 degrees Fahrenheit! He came back today and said I told you have a leak so the freon has leaked out in one night! I would would not recommend this company.

I called velocity back in 2020 to fix my AC. They told me my drain was clogged, my refrigerant was leaking, and I needed a new starter motor or something like that. They tried to hard sell me on a new full system, telling me it was going to die pretty much at any moment because its old (11 years at the time) but I wasnt prepared to do, so I told them to fix it and paid several hundreds of dollars.

I had a management company take care of my house between 2021 and the end of 2024 and they maintained the AC unit, so I had not had interaction with Velocity since then, other than their occasional texts.

Fast forward five years later, earlier this year, they randomly called me offering a tune up special for like $49. Since the management company was no longer performing maintenance, I went ahead and scheduled an appointment. To my surprise, they told me that my AC had the exact same issues they told me 5 years earlier. I mean, what are the chances? It seems that this is their "go to" issue to get more money out of customers. The repair man said he found the leak and it would be $1200 to fix this then $300 to fix that, etc. I told them I didnt want them ti fix anything and the repair man insisted that at least the refrigerant needed topped off or it would destroy the unit, so I told them to add refrigerant but not replace the motor because I was suspicious. They again tried to hard sell me on a new unit "if you buy now, then we'll give you a special deal..." etc.

Today, I had another company come look at the unit because it wasnt running properly. They told me it was a simple clogged drain. They flushed it, checked the entire unit and told me it should be good for another couple years at least, meaning that Velocity lied when they told me I needed a new starter motor (or whatever that part is called). Now im even curious if they added refrigerant at all or if they just said they did. I would have no idea either way but what I do know, is that I do not trust them.

There are plenty of options that are more trustworthy. Choose wisely.

Curious to know if anyway else has been told by Velocity their AC has a refrigerant leak and needs a new starter motor??

Installation was fast and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves, however, items in the garage were not put back in place. I suggest they take a picture 1st so they can put things back.

I am so impressed with your company. The men were extremely professional and explained everything to us. The best part is the clean up. My house was cool and clean when they left.

I called Velocity A/C yesterday around 4pm (called 2 other companies 1st but would not come out until today sometime) as my house was 84 degrees and the compressor kept throwing the breaker. Within an hour Eric showed up and broke the bad news, but in less than 24hrs I now have a new A/C totally installed by 2 great installers Daniel & Asniel. Both were extremely nice, knowledgeable and hardworking. My opinion is that this company is superior and I will definitely recommend them.

Velocity Air Review
Velocity Air is… okay. They definitely charge about twice what we do, but I guess that’s part of their business model. Honestly, the best thing about them is that whenever we have a tech who can’t quite cut it with us, they always seem to land over at Velocity. In a way it’s like trading players—our weakest link becomes their newest hire.

They seem to get the work done, and if you don’t mind paying extra and not asking too many questions about how polished the team looks, then Velocity might be for you. We run a drug-free company and prefer to keep that image, but we’re glad there’s still a place for everyone in this industry.

I was very thankful for the Velocity team's effort to get our AC running again. They came out right away and were very kind. I think they were trying to convince me to replace the unit because the repair quote was three times higher than it should have been. When another company came out, it seems they also misdiagnosed the problem. Disappointing.

Great job by Velocity Installer’s… hard work done with integrity by Isaiah and Darius! Unfortunately the unit has failed city inspection 2 times. Still waiting to here from Chris. Kind of disappointed.

The service technician Cody is very thorough. He took the time to do some extra cleaning on my fan unit outside that the other service technician did not do the last time he was here because he said the fan was in pretty clean shape. Cody also said the same thing but still took the time to do the cleaning anyway

Austin and Eddie did an excellent job of installing a new Trane AC unit. They were knowledgeable and provided me with appropriate information and answered my questions. Work was complete in less than a day and a good job of clean-up.

I've been using Velocity to take care of my AC system for years. Always friendly and reliable, they do a great job at fair prices. I just had them replace an older unit by the beach, another expert installation by Cliff and Chris... Thank you Velocity Air Conditioning!

AC Cody was great 👍🏾 he explained everything to me that he was working on. I needed to have a part replaced, I didn't feel pressured to make the decision to replace or wait, I choose to replace. Thank you Cody for your attention to details.

This company absolutely sucks. They have taken advantage of my senior citizen parents way too many times. After having a $20,000.00 system installed we have have nothing but problem with it and their customer service sucks beyond belief. They hung up on me numerous times and couldn’t even understand what they were saying. I speak English and what ever they were saying needs to be reviewed being that the conversations are recorded.
The BBB and my lawyers have been informed of this unbelievable bad service and I pray that no other seniors get taken for a ride.
