This is not about this particular Supplier. Its about Trane and their poorly made products. Our system broke after 7 years. They want 12,000 for a replacement. I dont know about you but I cant afford 12,000 every 7 years. Trane also has poor customer service and a baloney warranty scam going on. Do yourself a favor and buy a Lenox. We put it in our old house and it is still going strong after 12 years…thats 5 years longer already than Trane.

Trane Supply Clw has definitely gone through some tough changes the past few yrs. Being sold back to the factory (after 50 yrs of being privately owned) in the midst of Covid hurt them as much or more than others. The staff in the Clearwater store was very resilient. They had 3 manager changes in almost 3 yrs. The guys that stuck it out and stayed are awesome to work with. They are willing to go the extra mile to help get it done right! Unfortunately, they have constraints on them like most of the auto industry...supply chain issues abound in the HVAC world. Consumer just don't hear about it until its too late and their a/c is broke. Trane and American Standard are built on the same lines and are quality pieces of equipment. Quality is sold here to licensed contractors only.

Since they have changed the phone system and how everything is, you are lucky to even get good service. Texting is okay at best and quality in customer service and response. Is lacking in the company since the changes have been made, makes me cringe when I know I have to find info out. Weather it being a part, stock or anything else. It was easy and a joy to call before but now Trane is at my last on my favorites to even call/contact. Its just a big joke and **** show, now dealing with Trane and how they are being run.

Good people work there and enjoy the jobs. They have great products and fair prices for what they offer. The manager seems to be a great guy. The count of people are extremely knowledgeable. Bathrooms are clean. Free soda. Great place to buy air conditioning parts.

Absolutely the best! John has helped me through a number of problems with a sloppy install by a previous company and he always makes time even when he's got a full schedule! I'd highly recommend him for any work you need done.

I found Ability Air via a referral 4 years ago. John is straightforward and honest in all of his dealings. I refer him to anyone needing a good and trustworthy A/C guy.

It has now been 3 weeks with a new Air Conditioner from Ability Air, and I have to say that it is a dream. It runs well, our house is much cooler, and John is awesome. He gave us an great estimate to start with and when all was said and done, he saved us even more money! I love this man.

John was great! We had just gotten married and came home to find our A/C had stopped working. John came over on a Sat. and fixed the problem. He made sure all parts were in working order and waited until the house cooled off before leaving. He was honest and courteous. I would recommend him to anyone needing A/C repairs.

If you're looking for a trustworthy, professional A/C company, this is the one! John came to our house to do some maintenance on our current system. After looking at it, he gave an estimate for the repair but didn't recommend wasting the money, as he wasn't sure how much longer it would last. How often do you hear that?! He also gave very reasonable estimates for some options of new a/c's when ours dies. You can be sure that he will be getting a call from us when it does! Thank you for your honesty. I am confident in the fact that we have a lifetime a/c company I can trust.

I can see why Ability Air is getting five star reviews across the board. John showed up to a house we are planning to purchase to give us his opinion on the two AC unit that in in the home. He was very curious and helpful. He provided a professional opinion without trying to up-sale me with something I don't need.

Highly recommend, John and Ability Air! Saved me $800 (and lots of potential floor repair and additional cost!) I was having difficulty with my A/C not keeping refrigerant and turned out it was a leak in the line. And the line was under the foundation of the house (ouch!) My previous A/C guys said they would probably need to jackhammer up the floor to get to and replace the line. I wanted a second opinion, saw the reviews, and thought I'd give Ability Air a try. I am so thankful I did. John took the time to explain everything to me (didn't leave anything out, was very honest, and no high pressure sales or anything I didn't need). They came in and even though there was some difficulty and they were out longer than they thought they would be, they stuck to their quoted price (and saved my floor!) Will be using them again if/when I need A/C work or maintenance again.

We have a rental property in Clearwater and recently hired John to help us when one of the units stopped working. We had angry tenents and it was very rush and stressful! John handled it so quickly and his prices were affordable.

It seems that John is out to build a good reputation based on honest, quality work. You can't beat that. Our air conditioner stopped working, and I called Ability Air because of the good reviews on Yelp. He showed up when he said he would, he diagnosed the issue and explained everything thoroughly (even showing some pictures that he'd taken of the air handler up in our attic). We needed a new unit because ours was very old and hadn't been maintained (I wasn't too surprised), but he made it all so simple. Said he would show up on Monday morning (he did) and said he would finish by 4pm. He finished early. I would definitely recommend him.

I purchased a house in St. Pete with a 9 year old hvac system. I immediately had issues with high energy bills which is highly unusual for a 980 square feet home. The air conditioner ran all the time, but the house remained semi-warm. I contacted Ability Air & Heat and they immediately scheduled a technician to come to my house. The technician arrived on time and did a fantastic job of immediately diagnosing the issue. He walked me through the process, and presented me with a variety of options based on my budget for replacing my hvac system. His customer service is the best as he did not oversell any services and did not nudge me towards buying a unit that would stretch my budget. On installation day, Ability Air & Heat sent out a crew of 3 guys, all of whom were very polite and friendly although they could have kept the work areas clean after they were done. The whole system was installed the same day.

Unfortunately I was having an issue with the new system. I would set the temperature at 77 but mid-day the temperature inside the house would rise up to 80 degrees! I immediately contacted Ability Air and explained to them the issue. John, the owner showed up at 8pm to diagnose the issue. He tried to fix it that evening but I continued to have issues. John and his son were at my house everyday for 4 days straight, working diligently and patiently until they figured out and fixed what was causing the fluctuation in the temperature. John impressed me with his friendliness, professionalism and the obvious expert-level knowledge of his craft.  His company deserves more than five stars. Going above and beyond is an understatement. John and his staff were the nicest workers I've come across in a long time. Truly a top rated company. Thanks John and crew.   Great job.

I was away for a week and came home to my A/C blowing warm air. Even though John had a full schedule that day he managed to come by and handle the problem quickly and efficiently. I had John come back again recently to do a maintenance. He was on time, efficient and explained things in an easy to understand way. I highly recommend Ability Air and will be using John for our twice a year maintenance.

What can I say? These guys are FANTASTIC. I have been working with them for the last 3 years and I can't rave about their service enough. I originally was referred to John and the crew by my parents. He replaced our upstairs unit in a matter of hours and it still works like a charm years later. These guys stand by their work, are super trustworthy and professional.

Today John came by, despite my super short notice request, and took the time to check out both of my A/Cs (sent an email in the middle of the night). I was told that there was something wrong as no cold air was blowing. He fit me in his packed day, found out that there was a breaker off and saved the day.

I will ALWAYS recommend them! Best A/C service in town.

I needed to purge my A/C water tray, so I called Marc from Ability instead another who had a second visit for free, he came fixed it and gave me an amazing service, then he ask for the invoice from before and I notice my mistake! He was so kind and understanding, told me not to worry at all and charge me a fraction of the regular price, it so nice to find good people around! Honest and profesional, kind and happy! I couldn’t expect more, I highly recommend this company and I learn that cheap estimate could cost more!
