I used Cox Heating & Air for the first time recently. The Cox serviceman who came to our house was totally useless. I showed him the issue and basically had to poke around my attic with him and help him diagnose the problem. He didn't seem like he actually wanted to figure out what was causing the problem or fix anything. He seemed annoyed when I asked him to use shoe covers in our house and didn't even close the attic when he left. I was charged $140 despite him being at our house for 10-15min. Needless to say, I will not be using Cox again.

Really appreciate Cox. Been a customer for years and find them very reliable and their estimates fair and above-board.

I own Thee Tan Haus, a luxury airbrush tanning studio in Tampa, and recently completed a renovation at my new location. Right after moving in, I noticed that the AC ventilation and ductwork design weren’t able to keep the studio cool, and it was humid all the time. Zack and his team worked around my tanning schedule flawlessly, coordinating their visits and work times so that I could continue serving my clients without interruption. That level of consideration truly impressed me.

When it came to the actual work, the team was thorough and efficient. They redesigned the ventilation system and made the necessary adjustments to the ductwork to ensure the entire studio would stay cool, no matter how hot it gets outside. And the best part? They left my space spotless—no debris, no mess, nothing for me to clean up after they left, which was a huge relief.

Now my salon stays ice-cold, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The humidity issue is completely gone, and my clients have commented on how much more comfortable it is during their appointments. I had my AC unit replaced by Ron and Ed, I had an incredible experience with this install crew. They were very professional, clean, and extremely helpful. They worked in a timely manner and had my AC up and running in no time. They cleaned up after themselves and left everything better than before! Before leaving they assisted me with understanding how to use my new thermostat and walked me through the steps, it was extremely helpful and very kind. Overall great experience, so happy I chose Cox!

We purchased our AC unit from Cox in 2013 and have had it serviced twice a year every year since. We had Elias service our system the last two services and I will tell you this, In all the years we have been using Cox, Elias is the only one in years that has gone above and beyond with his service!! His explanations of how the unit works and what to watch for are so helpful. We will be requesting him as our service tech from now on.....We promise to share him!!! He is an outstanding asset to Cox service department!!!

I can’t say enough good things about Cox Heating and Air Conditioning! At 5pm I noticed my house was getting warm (79° inside). I tried calling my regular company but no one answered. A friend recommended Cox, so I gave them a call around 5:15. They answered right away, and within minutes the on-call technician called me back to let me know he’d come by as soon as possible.
Even though he had a few people ahead of me, Ilias showed up at 11pm—way later than most companies would even consider running a call. In just about an hour he had my AC working again. He was professional, efficient, and very kind.
Their customer service is outstanding, and because of this experience I’ve decided to switch to Cox Heating and Air Conditioning as my go-to company. Highly recommend!

Cox Heating and Air Conditioning finished a complete replacement of my AC/Heat system and duct system this week. I cannot say enough positive things about their people and workmanship. The crew arrived on time and finished the install when the said they would complete. During the installation Cox provided me with 2 portable ac units that were more than adequate to cool the rooms that we used during the install. While their crew were installing the system they were constantly cleaning up and picking up anything that was left behind from their work. I would recommend Cox for the work they performed for me and the amount of time they have been in business.

Cox has been great to work with. Their tech Tyler was prompt, courteous and informative. Really appreciated him explaining things to me. Very fair pricing. Will definitely use them again!

I have been a Cox Heating and Air customer for about 8 years. During this time I have been under their Annual Preventive Maintenance Program. This has proven to be a real benefit to me. When I need a Service call I am treated like a VIP. They make every effort to respond to my needs quickly. Moreover, when they do take care of any problem I have, I receive a discount on their work. Yesterday I needed their help in getting my heating / AC working. I callled and spoke with Lisa, their administrative assistant. She was pleasant and efficient in dealing with my needs. She asked all the right question in an effort to properly diagnose my problem. She said she'd do everyting possible to get a technician out to my house within hours. Will, the technician, came by within 3 hours of my call. Based upon what he was told by Lisa, he had a good idea of what the problem was and worked diligently to identify what I needed to get my system up and running again. In a reasonable amount of time, Will had diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Will took the time to explain to me what had occurred and how to be prevent the problem from reoccurrung in the future. With my Preventive Maintenance program discount, the amount I paid was reasonable and fair. I will continue calling Cox for my Heating / AC needs.

Cox has serviced my HVAC system for past 25 years very satisfactorily. I recently met Ilias who handled my problem very efficiently, explained problem to me in layman's terms I could understand, ordered necessary parts which he replaced promptly, with tidy clean up, tested, and unit is currently working very well. I recommend him highly and personally request that he respond to all of my future maintenance services and/or other calls, if any. Completely comfortable, no stress.

Joe & Marco installed our new HVAC Carrier system today and did a wonderful job! They were excellent about explaining the install process and answering any questions that we had. Our salesman Scott was very prompt in getting back to us and explaining all of our options for a replacement unit and was able to get us on the schedule in a matter of days. We've used Cox for over 25 years and have always been happy with their service.

I had a wonderful experience with my AC technician (Johnathan 527) with Cox Heating & Air and wanted to share my appreciation. He was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping. I rarely leave negative reviews, but homeowners deserve to hear this. I built a multi-million-dollar custom home and worked with many contractors throughout the project. I had absolutely no issues with any contractor except Cox Heating & Air.

Cox installed four HVAC systems totaling over $70,000. Three performed well. The fourth never worked correctly due to Cox’s installation choices — including mounting the outdoor unit higher than the indoor air handler (preventing proper drainage) and installing unnecessary dual filtration that restricted airflow.

After months of discussion, Cox acknowledged the issue stemmed from their own workmanship and agreed to absorb the $500 charge for the condensate pump required only because of their installation error.

Despite that agreement, Cox later sent the written-off amount to a debt collector, who then contacted not just us but also my husband’s parents, who have nothing to do with this project. This was distressing and entirely inappropriate.

To be clear: the dollar amount was never the issue. In a project of this scale, $500 is less than a rounding error to me. This was always about principle, professionalism, and accountability. Unfortunately, Cox was the only contractor on my entire multi-million-dollar build who did not uphold those standards.

I recommend homeowners proceed with caution.

Cox Heating and Air Conditioning just completed replacing the air conditioning ducts in our home. I have been dreading having this done but our experience with this company and personnel was great. Kerri in sales is very knowledgeable, explained the job in detail, provided us with a competitive quote, and accommodated our scheduling needs. The installers Ron and Ed did an excellent job! They were on-time, personable, professional, and working clean. We are very pleased with their work! The duct system they designed and installed is superior to what we had and operates very efficiently in ALL of our rooms. I would highly recommend this company.

Update- Had Ilias out today as to ease our concerns as we thought there was an issue with outside condenser- Ilias said the issue was a condenser blanket and nothing to worry about. Great service, professional and honest. So glad we have him as our HVAC tech.

One of the very best investments we made shortly after buying our OTOW condo was to have Cox H&A install a new HVAC system. We have had nothing but truly great service from Cox and today we had our annual heating service (right, heating in Florida) done by Ilias. What a great job he did! We continually recommend Cox whenever anyone ask because, 10 years later, we're still impressed with their service, their people and their price!

I have been dealing with Cox Heating and Air for over 5 years and I'm very pleased with them. My annual service was performed today by Elias. He was on time, professional and thorough. I will ask for him to service our a/c from now on.
I would also like to commend the Cox salesman who sold us the Carrier a/c in July of 2020. The existing unit was a 2 1/2 ton but he took measurements and some other factors into consideration and told us we only needed a 2 ton. We have been very happy with it. I am grateful for his honesty.

I've been dealing with Cox heating and air for over 30 years, its always been a wonderful experience. From the service department and the installation department as well as customer service. Very profressional and friendly. After a 5 day new duct install, Joe and Marco installed a clean and efficient job. After everything was finish Joe and Marco double checked everything , and then cleaned up everything bit of dirt and debris. Now Ruby and Max can breathe cleaner fresh air.

Technician Johnathon (John) came out and within 30 minutes ID’d a very serious electrical supply issue that truly should have burnt my home to the ground. He stated that once the electrical issue was corrected that there may still be a need for repairs to the unit and he was right. Cox is coming back out today to repair the unit. I happily signed up for their twice a year preferred customer maintenance program as well. I can do just about anything myself, but not HVAC. Now I have a very knowledgeable outfit on speed dial that are highly experienced, honest and fast. Treat yourself to having peace of mind, as I have.
