Kudos to Dock Savers staff. I had A LOT of questions on how to effectively wrap dock pilings. The two personnel that arrived to wrap 11 pilings for me were very personable and seem to enjoy explaining the type of materials that they would be using for this job. They jumped in the water and while working continued to answer my questions - never slowing down. I have watched other companies out here in St. James City wrapping pilings. Take off the old wrap, knock off a few barnacles while standing on the dock, get in the water, put on the new wrap (covering up the barnacles they couldn't reach from the dock), put a few nails in it and move on to the next piling. DOCK SAVERS - get in the water, take off the old, scrap the piling with scrappers (not a crow bar), install a commercial grade SHRINK WRAP from above the water line to at least 5 feet below medium tide level, install new wrap and using stainless steel nails, nail the wrap EVERY 3 - 4 INCHES. Now THAT'S what I'm talking about. The 11 pilings were in the deeper water. Well worth hiring Dock Savers to wrap them since that meant I didn't have to get out there and tread water. Since their staff was kind enough to explain the process to me, I will rewrap the pilings next to my seawall myself (I have to figure out where I can get that commercial grade shrink wrap) since I can stand up in that area. HOWERVER, when it comes time to rewrap those pilings in the deeper water, it's a sure bet I'll be calling on Dock Savers again - provided it's the same owners. Quality work is EXTREMELY tough to find now days. If you want quality work and a job done RIGHT - when your getting your bids for your next project - make sure that your last bid is from Dock Savers - and don't be afraid to ask questions of watch their install. I think they really enjoyed having their work admired. :)

Dock Savers did an excellent job wrapping the piling at my dock. The service tech came back to tie back the rubber bumpers that was not part of the job. I am very satisfied with the work and the price.

I contracted with Dock Savers to have several pilings of my dock repaired, along with overall dock integrity work for safety purposes. The job was performed with quality workmanship, in a timely manner. During the process, a small section of the dock washed away in a storm, leaving some electrical cabling exposed. Since my visiting the Dock Savers office in Ft. Myers, I have capped off and dealt with all the electrical needs of the dock, and Dock Savers has agreed to come back out to complete the small amount of wood-work that remains to be done. I have been highly satisfied with the professionalism of the Dock Savers staff through the process, and would recommend them to anyone requiring dock maintenance or repairs.

They left zero mess behind and performed the job in a timely matter. Use this company if you need your pilings wrapped or repaired.

They built my dock 14 years ago and it is still great. I needed to add 3 pilings and got them back. Their new hammer for driving pilings is a game changer. Once you see it you can’t unsee it. I will never have a piling driven any other way.
