We were referred to Ricky through a mutual friend and must say, never expected to be so happy! The very day that we contacted Ricky and Alyssa, they made an appointment for Ricky to come to our home that same evening to take a look at the AC system we had. He was polite, knowledgeable and helpful. The next day we received a quote with all the details explained. In addition, the quote was very reasonable considering the job. Days later, our new AC was installed and we had the peace of mind that we would not suffer from the SWFL heat while inside our home! Not to mention, our two large take up a lot of space dogs didn't have to get shaved bald due to overheating! Professional guys came as scheduled. Installed garage attic air handler and outdoor unit in a very clean manner. Cleaned up any debris left over. Very fair pricing and an overall pleasant experience .

Promising in writing 2 years parts and labor,
my a.c. unit failed FOUR times in 18 months, due to improper instillation. They did not slope both the unit and the condensate line correctly and charged me $400 for service calls which did not address the problem during the written warranty period. Though under their warranty, they wanted my credit card number in order to come out. They then charged me inappropriately for coming and failing to recognize and address their instillation problems. They refuse to refund the unauthorized charges to my credit card, as the service calls were due to the improper instillation. I have pictures of the shoddy work. The owner Ricky does not call back. They still refuse to re-slope the unit correctly. They eventually replaced the completely defective condensate line, admitting that it was the source of the ongoing problem, but and they had to tie it down under pressure of a large tie wrap to get drainage through this pipe because my unit is still tilted back and pan condensate does not drain correctly. They even charged me for a service call where their "lead tech" missdiagnosed the drainage issue and said a new thermostat was needed.They were supposed to pull a permit for the job, which they did not. No inspector would have approved this instillation. Next are complaints to the Better Business Bureau and Trane Corporation. I had high hopes for this company.
I have read their reply to my review. It missrepresents the problem of the poor instillation, which persists. I had uncloged the non-correctly installed drainage line multiple times myself. None of the service calls would have ever been needed had the unit been installed correctly. To not fix the lack of condensate drainage problem at any of what should have been the under warranty service calls, and then having the nerve to charge for a lack of appropriate work is heinous!
I have again called the owner who does not respond. Whoever is writing the replies to my appropriate review has never seen the problem first hand.

Two years ago I had a new Trane air conditioning/heating system installed by Southern Heating and Cooling. Today a six month service was performed by Jonathan Saez. Jonathan was knowledgeable, and friendly. He provided excellent service. Jonathan texted me on his way to my home to alert me if his arrival. I am happy with his service. My Trane is working great and I finally got to use the heat mode!

I highly recommend the yearly maintenance contract, following a new air conditioner purchase/install. The technician was excellent as to his work quality. All of my questions were answered satisfactorily. Thanks for the great service, SL.

We had a no heat call, put in and scheduled for the next day first thing in the morning. Oscar arrived on time, identify the problem easily and scheduled the repair. Very courteous, very polite and knowledgeable.

we've been customers of southern hc for over 20years. can't say enough on how reliable and honest about all the ac work they have performed. the owner(Ricky) is always fast to respond to any issues we have had.(not many) the most recent was our 12 yr old unit going bad--called Ricky that night and they were installing new unit the next day. crew was very courteous and answered any questions we had. highly recommend this company.

Jonathan has serviced our unit a few times and is very efficient and explains everything.

Jonathan arrived promptly and got to work. I asked lots of questions and he was patient and informative, explaining why it was important to flush the system and the reasons why changing the filter at least every 3 months was optimal.

I absolutely love this company! I’ve had service twice with two different technicians, and both times the experience was outstanding. Everyone I’ve spoken to here has a true servant’s heart and goes above and beyond to make sure I’m well taken care of. Their honesty and fair pricing give me complete peace of mind.
