They charged $ 785 to replace a blower that didn't need to be replaced and I only spent $ 0.98 to repair it myself.
$ 135 for the visit (which is not deducted if you authorize the service) plus $ 650 to replace the blower ... I told the technician that the blower was fine and all needed was to replace a small plastic hose of approximately 5 inches.
Wow, it didn't work ... $ 785 was the price and obviously I didn't authorize it.
I paid them the $ 135 for the visit and went to ACE Hardware to buy the hose which cost $ 0.98.
Congratulations for the excellent service Quamec !!!
I thought I would be a customer, but I was just a victim.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! -
One week ago I requested services on three units. One central ac and two mini splits. Paid $650 for refrigerant. Called them a week later, since one of the mini splits wasn’t cooling…. They didn’t find anything “wrong” added more refrigerant and charged me $150 for the service visit. I wasn’t even told there would be a charge and thought it was a courtesy visit to ensure everything was working as they were just here a week ago. No. No courtesy. No good customer service and they seem to want to overcharge more than the next guy. Great job guys! Lost another customer!
Technician was professional and courteous.
Review is not a reflection of the technician but of the office administration. -
Today, September 3, 2023, the air conditioning (AC) on the first floor stopped working after a brief power outage. My manager and I have been persistently trying to reach out to your company for assistance. Unfortunately, we only received a response the following day, and the representative seemed quite annoyed with us. However, considering the current temperature is 98 degrees Fahrenheit outside, it is sweltering inside, making the AC not just a luxury but a necessity in South Florida. While your AC system performs well when operational, its failure results in unbearably hot conditions throughout the entire building. During our training on the system operation, the technician emphasized the importance of reporting any issues promptly. We followed this advice and reported the problem immediately, yet we were informed that no one would be available to address the issue until after Labor Day, which falls on September 5, 2023. This delay is incredibly frustrating and inconvenient for us.
We suggest that if it is difficult for your company to dispatch a technician promptly, it would be beneficial to train our building maintenance staff on how to address common issues with the AC system. Air conditioning is essential in our location, and having trained personnel on-site would significantly reduce downtime in such situations. Our staff holds certifications issued by the state of Florida, demonstrating their capability to handle such tasks.
We find the current approach to resolving this issue unsatisfactory. It is imperative to either send a technician to fix the problem promptly or empower our maintenance staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to address such issues. We appreciate your attention to this matter and hope for a more timely and efficient resolution in the future. -
Excellent service by sales rep Juan and install technicians Rogelio and Jorge
I have my old AC upgraded to a new one . Juan gave me a good deal compared to Prather offers I got. He was very professional and quick to respond
The install techs went over and beyond despite some issues we ran in to. They worked quick clean and responsibility . Love this company, it was a first and great experience -
Technicians did an excellent job. They made the repairs right away. They provided photos of “before” and “after” their work. They were clean and professional. We were very pleased with their prompt and efficient service.

Be careful with company! I was looking to purchase a new ac system and the rep came to my house and gave a decent quote. I told them I would call them back after I got a few more quotes. Well I thought i better get my air ducts cleaned as I get a new ac. When I called the rep about this cleaning he definitely confirmed I should have them cleaned. He said they normally charge 50.00 a duct but he would give me a deal for $15.00 each. I have 12 ducts that needed to be cleaned. I then decided to research duct cleaning and low and behold I went on Quamec website and guess what in huge letters on the main page it says" FREE DUCT CLEANING WHEN YOU PURCHASE A NEW AC SYSTEM FROM THEM" It looks they were trying to scam me for more money or at least the rep was. In any case I lost all confidence in a company that tries to cheat potential customers. You better train your sales reps to read their on website or get better at cheating and scamming potential customers. Do not be fooled by the number of good reviews posted I almost fell for it.
You have been warned....BE CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY OR BETTER YET STAY AWAY FROM THEM -
Always happy with the service Quamec provides to our A/C unit. From the office staff to the service crew, top notch. Definitely recommend them.
-
techs completely misdiagnosed the AC issue. They spent an hour doing I don't know what, just to tell me that the AC was better off being replaced with a new one.
Your techs were respectful and polite, but either they don't have enough experience to be sent to the field to troubleshoot AC problems or you are all in together in a fraud scheme ready to take advantage of any unsuspecting trusting client.
You were about to make me spend around $5500 and make me wait for who knows how many weeks without a working AC.
when all the AC needed was cleaning. called different vendor and they had unit back to normal operation same day. Currently cooling and you should look really hard at yourselves and decide on what kind of company you want to be. -
Very professional service from Oreste and his team.

These guys are the best. Great service, excellent price (way better than the other quotes I got), they installed my new AC next day, a great team came and they left everything spotless. I ran into a problem a week after the installation and they came and fix it under the warranty without charging me anything, even considering the problem wasn't clearly their fault. I highly recommend them!

My AC stopped working. Called same people who installed it. They came out. Fixed it. Charged me $500.00 + the service call fee to replace two fuses which Home Depot sells for about $25 each. They did the job. This was the last time this company came out to service my A/C. CAN NOT recommend them anymore.

Thanks, your employee that came were very professional and they fixed my problem with my heater.

Excellent service by sales rep Juan Villas and install technicians Osvaldo Durte and Fernando Florez

service was very good and Christian came real soon after I had the emergency (after the initial service (gas leak) with the water leak, which was subsequent to the initial repair. Thanks to Daylan for her prompt response . Its good to know that I can count with prompt and excellent service for my AC when I need it
Today they came for inspection of the site’s preparation and the technician was very explicit regarding further excavation. Will follow instructions .As always very good service
Today 5/21/2025 Jaime and Marlon did one of the most amazing jobs at my house while performing the installation of the cable from the compressor (external) to the handler (internal). 150 feet!! Under 90 degrees of temperature and brilliant ☀️. That was something heroic !! Technicians like them make a company progress and great!! That’s why I keep reccomending them 👍
Today Ahmed Fernandez came and instantly he figured out what was wrong which was the old thermostat so he promptly replaced it. Excellent work as always -
WOW, WOW, WOW! I am incredibly impressed with the service I received from this company. Helen Gonzalez provided the best customer service experience I’ve ever had. She is always supportive and ready to help, making the whole process smooth and stress-free.
Ameth Fernandez and his assistant are top-notch technicians! Their professionalism and expertise truly stand out. I couldn’t have asked for a better team. Highly recommended! -
there was no resolution, just a suggestion that the unit be cleaned and the fins get combed. i think that the diagnosis is a guess due to both units working properly in cooling mode and both units not working properly in heating mode, too much of a coincidence.

If you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy company to handle your ac change out look no further than Quamec. They did an excellent job replacing my old ac unit with a new Rheem unit. The installation was done quickly, efficiently and with great attention to detail.

Quamec is a great company. Every interaction with the team at Quamec was pleasant, efficient, and productive. They know the industry and are reliable with great knowledge and service. I give them my highest recommendation. You can’t go wrong with Quamec.
-
Terrible service and very rude! Do not use them you will regret it.
-
DO NOT USE... CALLED FOR MY MOM'S REFRIGERATOR. WHEN THEY COULD FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG THEY CALLED MY MOM NAMES LIKE RETARD..AND MUCH WORSE. THEY EVEN KICKED HER REFRIGERATOR. SAID WE DO NOT NEED TO HELP THE DISABLED...STAY AWAY

Called for a quote. Overpriced and when I asked why they were so much more (first quoted $185, then later $125) just for a service call to provide a quote I was astonished to hear the gentleman reply " its the repair season and that's our cost, and there are bigger fish to fry willing to pay that". Seriously?!?! I would be out of business if I spoke to my customers like that . With that mentality I would hate to see the service they offer, so our company is moving on.
