This company is rude, and really undeserving of veteran and disabled customers. I called and never got my phone returned. When I finally got it returned, we were told the plumber was on its way but never made it to my place. Anyways. Old school machine recorded and unpleasant customer service. Old lady sound like a wife helping out without a salary or just plain dissatisfied. I bet if you paid her you could have a better runner company. Good luck.

We used A-1 Plumbing multiple times over the years of owning our home. The big job that I am reviewing was the replacement of our sewer main and the install of a clean-out. They did this job about 5 years ago (2015).

Fast Forward to 2020, My back neighbor is having sewer issues and they call out the county due to it looking as though the county's pipe may have been the cause. Due to the neighbor's house not having a clean-out for the camera to scope through, we were contacted by our neighbor for access. We happily contacted Pasco County Utilities and had them out. The utility workers were fantastic and when they were done they commented on the quality of the job A1 Plumbing did installing the line. To quote them, "It still looks beautiful. They did a fantastic job. You should be happy."

So I am leaving a review on a sewer main that was done FIVE years ago because we were COMPLIMENTED on the work that was done. Totally worth it.

Came out to our house to assess plumbing issue and proceeded to tell us what we should do to fix the problem. They did not want to do the work while there and then wanted to charge us a $165 trip charge.

We ended up having Meares Plumbing come and fix problem. They came out same day. Their prices are very reasonable (plus their trip charge is only $65)

Highly unprofessional and totally unresponsive. This is our default plumbing company through our home warranty. We have been trying to get some basic issues serviced for over two months. After finally arranging a date and time, they failed to show up during their scheduled 11-1 window on 10/24/23. I called several times after 1pm and the call was not answered. I left a voicemail which was not returned. I don’t understand a company that would completely fail to show up to a job, then utterly fail to communicate with the customer. Wild to me.

HORRIBLAE!!! It took almost 24 hours to send someone out and when he got to my condo he did not even look for 5 minutes when he said I can't see in wall so we would have to soz-all my walls and bathtub so see where it is. Really, I call a different plumbing outfit, and they were there in a few hours. By this time the leak was found simply by tuning on the water and feeling around for the leak. Then a small hole was put in the drywall, and the water turned back on, and it sprayed everywhere. Leak was found. The other company had it fix within 45 minutes. The guy that came was rude and totally unprofessional! He did not want to talk in front of me for some reason. This made me very suspicious as I am the homeowner and had a right to know what was going on. I would not trust this company for anything.

A‑1 Southern Plumbing failed at every stage of service, from communication to follow‑through. Our brand‑new shower stopped draining and caused a minor flood, and although they advertise 24/7 service, the earliest “warranty” appointment offered was two days later.
The technician who arrived Thursday couldn’t resolve the issue, left the work area messy, didn’t reinstall the drain he removed, and tracked dirt through the house. He said they would return Friday with the proper equipment. They never showed. We had to call them for an update, only to be told their machine wasn’t working and they wouldn’t return until Monday — leaving us without functioning plumbing for an entire weekend.
When they finally arrived Monday, the lead technician was immediately abrasive and dismissive. Without entering the home or reassessing the problem, he abruptly declared the issue “not covered under warranty,” contradicting what we were told earlier. After nearly a week without plumbing, they left without completing any work. One technician even insisted we had “never used them,” which was simply untrue.
We contacted Grable Plumbing, who came out the same day and handled the situation professionally.
Based on our experience — poor communication, inconsistent information, lack of urgency, and unprofessional behavior — I cannot recommend A‑1 Southern Plumbing. Even if your warranty directs you to them, I strongly suggest requesting a different provider.

Originally was charged $250 for them to come and take a look at the issue we were experiencing with our toilet. Connie let us know if there is any additional work that need sot be done or a price adjustment that they'd give me a call. Next day I got a call that there was a bigger issue than expected, I let them know we would get additional opinion so for them to not do anything further, now stuck with a $900 bill after only being told about $250 charge only for them to scope out the issue not even to remedy the situation.

Cindy came out today installed pot filler above stove & water line for freezer in less than an hour. It was awesome seeing a woman plumber with almost 30yrs experience. She was wonderful & helpful with some new house tips! Thanks so much guys

I wish that I could write a review about this companies work. But they did not show up, no phone call, no email, no anything. Thank you guys so much for wasting a day sitting here waiting for you. No wonder you have 3.5 stars!!

I do see your response that I was not on your schedule and it may have been another company. I would hire you a new scheduler, it was you, I did set an appointmet and you did not show up. I would take a look at your scheduler and not blame the customer that 100% scheduled an appointment with YOU!!!!

A LIVE person who truly wants to help (shout out to Rob) who helped me troubleshoot my issue over the phone. They aren’t just trying to take your money, they actually want to help.
