Lukas is as ethical and "old school" as they come. He literally saved my butt. One month after he installed a new Goodman A/C it went bad. He replaced it with a new one at no charge. A month after that my electric bill went through the roof -- up by over 500%! The electric company insisted that it was the A/C. Jeff Lukas personally came to my house 5 times to test it and insisted that it wasn't the air conditioner. He thought it was the hot water heater. A plumber came out and said the water heater was fine. Weeks went by as the bill racked up higher and higher as one "expert" after another came out and said "not me". Finally Jeff came out on a weekend and tested EVERYTHING in my house -- because he felt sorry for me! He isolated the problem to a slab leak under the floor of my house, past the hot water heater. Thus the hot water heater was heating and dumping water constantly. He was right -- it wasn't the A/C and the plumber was an idiot.

What did Jeff charge me, considering he made 5 trips to my house, spent hours here and it was NOT his fault?

Not one cent.

Not a penny. He felt sorry for me -- I'm a single mom on a fixed income.

I would never pick another A/C man. Jeff is my hero. Honest, dependable and on top of all that -- has a heart.

My ac stopped working and I called them at 8 AM on a Saturday. They were so pleasant from Peggy who answered the phone to Sandy who was the tech that came out about an hour later. They were able to find the problem which was a simple fix at a very reasonable price. I will definitely be using them for future issues.

Can't say enough about doing business with Lukas. Have been a customer for 25 yrs. Always willing to go the extra mile.
Air went out this past Thursday-late afternoon-called the office--Jake was at the house Friday before noon. Air was up and running in about an hour. Yippee!

My wife and I have been customers of Lukas Refrigeration for more than 30 years. This locally owned business is all about taking care of their customers. They are simply the Best in Heat and AC!

I have used Lukas Refrigeration for several years. Today they came out for the annual service. The Service Techs were just wonderful. They did a great job, were personable and very professional. I would recommend this company to anyone!!

Called Lukas 3:45am and Technician showed up at 9am and Fixed it with complete sense of urgency. Best part is that the service charge is extremely fair. Technician Jake is very knowledgeable and went above and beyond in fixing the issue. Max is learning well and good too. Without reservations, Best Family Owned Ever!!!

Got Lukas's reference from our realtor in Oviedo for an initial service. Josh from Lukas Refrigeration and Air Conditioning did the service. I am very satisfied. He is thorough, very transparent and extremely helpful. I will always use them.

Had a very poor experience with Lukas in September 2016, which is unfortunate given they were highly recommended.

Made appointment for a quote for a new AC. Initially, great communication, preliminary quote was in the right range, and an appointment was made a few days later "mid-morning" for an inspection and final quote. O n the day of the inspection, no one showed up. I called a few times, and received a call back around Noon saying they don't service my part of town (south of downtown/Pine Castle) and no one would be coming.

This is frustrating because I took time off work to stay home, and it is an issue that easily could have been remedied when I made the appointment. The operator recognized the location of my home, and even commented that she was glad I didn't live in a nearby neighborhood because they have stricter rules for permitting.

All in all, a disappointing waste of time. The woman who called back was very apologetic. This is nice, but I wasted a lot of time and have to set up more quotes now. Also, she she said the inspector left me a voicemail, which did not occur.

If you live in Oviedo, then maybe check them out. But, if you live farther west, you may want to confirm they service your area before taking time off work.

This is a great company for your AC needs. We had multiple checks on our AC from a different big name company. They tried to overcharge us on just about anything they could and they came out and even filled our AC unit with the wrong kind of refrigerant. Lukas on the other hand came out right on time and charged appropriately. They found all the problems and changed out the refrigerant at no additional cost. Don't look further, this is the company you want to call!

Lukas replaced our condensing unit & air handler. The price was fair and they did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone for HVAC work.

We had been shopping around for a reliable company/technician to service our Trane AC unit. Peggy at dispatch is a pleasure to work with!! She is attentive to your needs and ensures that all of your concerns are relayed to the technician prior to his/her arrival. Jake (our technician) was outstanding!!! He took the time to point out every detail that he was finding, and ensure that we understood how that impacted the performance of the unit. Our unit had been having issues since we purchased it 3 yrs ago, and Jake was the first technician we've had that instilled confidence in us that he knew what he was doing.

We recently had the air handler and condenser replaced by Lukas Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. From start to finish the job was done professionally, in a timely manner and with respect for our property. This was a difficult job because our house is 40+ years old and sizes have changed significantly but they were able to get us a unit that fit the restricted space. My AC unit had what I thought was a clogged line causing a water leak. I decided to use Lukas when they quoted me 1/2 the cost of other companies and their $80 diagnostic fee includes unclogging the line. Another company wanted $79 to just check the unit nothing included plus $119 for unclogging the line.

Peggy at the office was pleasant to speak with when arranging the appointment. Jay the technician showed up as scheduled and even called me exactly 30min prior as agreed so that I can leave my office and meet him at the house.

Jay communicated with me all that needed to be done and indeed it was a clogged line. He suggested changing the PVC piping as the way they were angled could be causing the water backup. He even made it easier to remove the filter for cleaning. Jay also checked that the unit was good on freon...thank you Jay for a job well done!

In the end I experienced Lukas to be a company that was honest, and a pleasure to work with! I also paid less and got more done!
