Terrible Service and Unresponsive Company

We hired this company for a pool service, and after their first visit, something was clearly wrong. The pool didn’t work the same as before, and we had no idea what they had done. We reached out multiple times by phone and email explaining the issue, but got no response. My wife’s number was the one registered with them, and they never answered her calls. Frustrated, I decided to call from my phone, which wasn’t on their records, and they picked up immediately—but still, no solution was provided.

In the end, we had to cancel their services and go with a different company that actually values their customers. The customer service here is awful, and they show no commitment to solving problems. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Not a good experience overall. Pembroke pools came highly recommended by a neighbor, but once they showed up there were a huge disappointment. The pool cleaner spent 5 minutes cleaning our pool and did a terrible job. I emailed them and expressed my disappointment to give them a chance to make things right. They told me that based on my expectations they obviously were not the company for me and told me to find someone else.

I have been using Pembroke Pools for over 15 years. In that time I have experienced Excellent Service. They have notified me of issues that needed attention outside of regular service such as replacement of my pump and filter system once in that time frame. My Pool is 22 years old. My pool is always Crystal Clear and the family and friends enjoy it all the time.

Had their service for a bit over a year and I couldn’t be happier. German who services my pool is a great guy and always does a great job cleaning it rain or shine. Whenever I call with a question or a concern they are always polite and quick to help me out. If you need a pool service that treats your pool right and is fairly priced Pembroke Pools is for you.

I’ve lived in South Florida for decades, and this is the best pool service I’ve ever had. Highly recommended.

My initial contact was with the representative who came out to inspect my pool and sign me up for the weekly pool service. He was very pleasant and professional. I've yet to receive the weekly service but so far I'm happy with hiring Pembroke Pool Service.

My concrete pool had developed a crack in the wall about 6 feet long and one in the corner a couple of feet long. The pool was drained and cracks permanently repaired. Looks great, it's been over a year since repair and everything is good. They charged a fair price, other companies seemed to want an overly inflated amount !

Pembroke Pool Service is a great company! I had to change pool servicing company and Im happy to have done it. Ever since this company has been servicing pool. My pool looks crystal clear all the time. The owners are very friendly and go above and beyond to help you.

Buyer beware. I hired Michael and his crew after meeting with him. I explained that I had black algae problems and showed him the chemicals I used to fight the problem. His team didn't do any copper (in most black algae products) testing prior to adding a bunch of chlorine and the entire surface of my pool turned black. I reached out to Michael and he took a look and agreed that it was most likely the reaction of the chlorine with the copper and then tried to charge me $650 to "fix" the problem he created. I recently spoke with someone that had a similar experience with Pinch-a-Penny and PAP is doing everything to get this person's pool back in order. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere. I called Michael to give him another chance to fix his own error and he was not interested. Please, I beg you, select another service.

Michael, thanks for your response, but it is also inaccurate. I did NOT call you here for black algae at all. I called you here to take over cleaning my pool and had mentioned that I had black algae and what I used. It was added the second week of August. You warned about acid in the heater after your visit to witness the black discoloration. Put simply, the pH level was too low in my pool so when you added all the chlorine that you added it created a chemical reaction and turned my pool black. Had you noticed the pH was so low, if you had corrected it first then I wouldn't have had the problem you created. You can argue all you want about it but you took over cleaning my pool and the problem was created by your team. In the future, take ownership. Lastly, I did not understand that you would do the acid wash for $300. Not to worry, my pool has been acid washed and is back looking beautiful with the same heater in place!

My pool had been broken for about 3 to 4 years. They came and resurfaced and tiled the pool. Very quick workers each step was complete in half day each time. If they were able to do it all at once it would take about a day. With weather delays, curing, and materials set back we got our new pool in 3 weeks. All said not bad considering.

This company is terrible. They do not come consistently. When they do come they are there for maybe 5 mins and the pool is still littered with debris. When we called them to complain the first time, their service guy said that he rang the doorbell to plug in his vacuum but no one answered. I was home the whole time. The company took the side of their guy, fine. We installed a camera and for 2 weeks this guy never shows but he has a picture of our pool on a rainy day last week. Our camera picks up rain, the movement of the floaties in the pool, trees blowing in the wind but never this guy cleaning our pool on a rainy day. My assumption is that he came, didn't feel like working in the rain, took the picture because you can't tell if the pool is clean or dirty with raindrops disturbing the water, but the rain does not last so then it becomes clear the the pool is dirty. This company has unethical practices, they don't reimburse or credit you for their guys not providing the service you've already paid for or him being on vacation and anytime you complain, they argue with you and they get away with taking your money and services not rendered. Don't waste your time or money with these people.

No the account is not in my name. The name is not important because just like I stated and apparent in all of your bad review responses and even in some of your good ones, you only want to argue. Save it. We're moving on...you should too.

Pembroke pool service is awesome they are prompt, professional and the team keeps my pool clean and bright. Joy is so professional and is always there to help with any questions or concerns. 5 stars for me. Great job guys!

I will give Michael and his worker a five star for now and will re-visit this review in a few months since I just signed up with them for servicing our pool.

I called Michael’s company after being told by our previous pool maintenance company that our pool had bad plaster. Our pool was built a year ago and it looked old and grey with stains inside the pool and on the tile and grout. Michael inspected my pool and told us that our pool had algea ready to bloom and the chemicals were imbalanced. Chlorine was non existent and he showed us the results. He could have told us that our plaster was bad and made more money by offering us to remodel our pool. Seems to be a very honest guy!

He sent a guy within a day who spent a few hours adding chemicals and salt to our pool and cleaned our tile and grout as well. He said he would visit once more the next day to check the spa and pool again to touch up anything he missed and then they will start maintaining my pool on a weekly basis.

Within 12 hours my pool and tile line looks like new! The spa will need a touch up today which I’m sure they will manage well. I’m very happy thus far and will re-evaluate in a few months!

We inherited this pool company from the previous owners when we purchased our home, and while we were living at the property, their service was consistently reliable and satisfactory. However, after we relocated and placed the house on the market, the quality of service declined significantly. Maintenance became inconsistent, and without prior authorization or communication, digging began in our backyard. Although this activity was visible on our security cameras, we initially assumed it was routine work. About a month later, we were presented with a $10,000 invoice citing allegedly damaged pipes. Since then, the pool has been left in poor condition, turning green and negatively impacting prospective buyers during showings. Based on our experience, we recommend that future customers avoid this company.

My pool pump stopped working so I called Pembroke Pool. They came out the same day and quickly provided me with a quote. I accepted the quote and they came out the very next day to fix the issue.

I was very impressed with their customer service, responsiveness, and quality of work. I highly recommend!
