They replaced the pool liner at one of our properties in a quick efficient manner. Very professional and fair pricing.

Two years later a small issue came up. "Simple fix" per their estimation and they offered to make the repair free of charge.

Excellent customer service. We will be using again if the need arises.

They are the worst. They took our money and failed to get to our pool for 3 months. They don't answer their phones, use a service and never return the phone calls. When you finally get someone from family pools on the phone, they said that commercial customers took precedence. When they finally came to install our pump and filter system it was not the brand that we were sold. It felt like bait and switch. In the end, we were desperate to get the new pump, so we went along with it. I can't give an assessment of whether we like the brand, because after 3 weeks, they still haven't completed the install. They now want us to Google the steps to finish the set up ourselves. Keep in mind, they have been paid in full. This is the worst decision we have made.

OK, let me reiterate these guys are not good…having read their response - I’ll leave a log here. I deleted my previous review bacuasr they actually started the job and I hoped to get it done. I hope to get nothing for free and will post my texts w Fiona in the company pictures. The unforeseen circumstances were a $4k change order that 2 other companies said - ”see I told you…it should be $2k”. Just finish the job. So sad. Stay away from these guys TIMES 10.
I’m a professional engineer and construction manager and hired them because Fiona and the owner showed up for the estimate and are generally likable people. That’s where the likability ends. Their scheduler told me the job was 12 weeks out. Then explained to me that she counts weeks as 7 non contiguous working days. Meaning 7 Monday through Fridays is 1 week. Well, this is not only wrong it’s illegal.
Next construction started and after being neck and neck in the bid with another company - their reasonable bid from a supposedly trusted company has turned into a noose. They presented a change order for $4000 to chip out the pool. No unit costing or quantities- just pay us $4k after we have now finished draining and demoing the pool, and we will proceed. Else enjoy this ravaged hole in your back yard. Change orders are typically presented w industry standard unit pricing. Change orders are where contractors make their money because they have you locked in and often the job in a state of disarray and so the one presented caught me a bit by surprise as a money grab. The CO also states that they can damage my lighting, filters, simply fill the pool and walk away and demand payment in its terms. This place is a SCAM. I’m sure they are OK and May get the job done - but not for the promised amount or schedule…which are really the 3 things you look for in a contractor.

They did a terrible job! They wouldn't come back to fix it. It's been leaking ever since. DO NOT CALL THEM. You will regret it!

With the way the world has changed over the past year and a half, my husband and I decided to have a pool built! We were spending a lot more time at home and wanted a safe place to have family and friends over to enjoy. We got several estimates, but decided to go with family pools Inc. They gave us the best price and cared about our involvement every step of the way. There were a few hiccups along the way, but the pandemic was to blame- setting businesses and materials back. Not only did the pool turn out absolutely beautiful, I greatly appreciate the open and honest communication throughout the process.
We would highly recommend family pools. Nichole, the office manager knows how to get things done. She was very resourceful.

DO NOT WALK BUT RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK.
We contacted with them in October 2022 and are still fighting to get the job completed. The lack of concern is truly unbelievable! We hired them to resurface and replace our pool deck and patio. Not only did they do the work incorrectly and haphazardly, it caused our house to flood - over the holidays! To this day, they continue to skirt their responsibilities. Pavers installed incorrectly, pool light non-functional, no handrail, etc.

Family Pools did a wonderful job of a complete remodel of my pool and pavers.
Very pleased with the quality of the work, and I would highly recommend them for your next pool project.

Resurfacing the swimming pool (25X16) was for us a big worry! After the usual estimates we chose Family Pools Inc for their competitive price, their long history of quality and their location nearby. In retrospect it was an excellent choice.
All their workers were professionals. The first team with Al and his father Esteban showed non only their very conscientious work but their great care of our pool environment. The second team of four people demonstrated on top of their experimented approach a sense of artistry. Finally the final tuning post contract with Jose concluded a well done job!
Family Pools did the work as planned on time. They were easy to contact. Nichole’s efficiency was exceptional!

I’ve worked with dozens of pool companies in south Florida with my design business over the last 30 years. Simply put, Family Pools is by far the best one I’ve ever worked with. Our project on Hutchinson Island was fast, they kept the job site immaculate, their prices were good, they are extremely to responsive to questions, there were no lagging days where work wasn’t being done, and they finished in half the estimated time. The tile work they did was that of a master tile installer. Flawless. I would recommend them to even my most demanding clients. This is how business should be done. This is a family business and it makes all the difference in the world!!! We could not be happier!!

I DO NOT recommend this Company.
I hired the to resurface my pool and redo the patio around my pool.
They started on June 18th it’s been way over a month and they still haven’t completed the job.
They left things quite sloppy. They broke my screen door and didn’t inform me about it. They left trash all over the side of my house where they were working. They do not seem to be concerened about the sloppy quality of their work. The finished pics do not say anything about process it took to get finished Or how unfriendly the office staff became after this review was posted and how they simply do not do What they say, they will do with their own Their mouth .it took over a month to do a two week job. There was an issue with the tile. That could’ve been resolved a lot quicker than it was . Customer service Skills are atrocious I don’t even have any leftover tile in case something breaks in the future, which they said would be brought back to me, but after this review, they They were not going to bring me back what I had paid for, and that was that Very very poor company

But in my contract said the pool have done by dec 15
But at dec 15 no one come to my pool
When i call to all said have delay but never call or email for the delay
When i call and come to office for asking money back they said i need to wait and my money cant going back
So this company cheat customer sign in contract and not take care for

Wonderful office staff, courteous workers that did the pool upgrade. I had an issue after the work was done[not Family Pools fault] , Family Pool was out there within two weeks and fixed the issue. Their prices are better than their competition and they care about your satisfaction.

What a nice group of people very concerned and very knowledgeable called them to explain my problem explain to them that I'm a tile guy and I'm having problem with my pool tile she told me how to correct it and was really nice and patient with me if I need a pool company I definitely recall them first

Family Pools is a very professional team that makes a difficult project easy to understand. Starting with the sales department Fiona that made it easy for us to pick her over of the others. We had several teams for the different steps, and each person was very skilled They were friendly polite and organized. Alexandria had answers for me when needed them and recommendations when i requested them. End result we have a beautiful pool due to the excellent workmanship.

Follow-up to this review:
In April of 2024, they sent out a manager he examined the pool and came back with a crew they regrouted the pool tile. So far I have not had any more leaks. I appreciate that they did repair the work, I'm hoping its not a temporary fix. So far a year later the repair is still holding.

Because of the terrible results of the work done at our home, that we can never seem to get a return phone call from any responsible person at Family Pools I feel forced to write about our experience with this company. We contracted with family Pools on 1/27/2021, for a complete resurface & Tile job. We upgraded the resurface to "Wet Edge Blue" a higher end resurfacing product with new tile around the top. The work was done in May of 2021 the pool looks great, but the tile leaks badly. We cannot keep the water level in the pool up to the skimmer because the product they used to install the tile is either of very poor quality or they just used the wrong stuff. After about 3 phone calls they finally sent someone out about 18 months after it was installed. They guy was using regular latex calking which is NOT water proof to try to seal the tile. This is unacceptable lazy work. We paid them over $10K for this job and they are to busy to make good on their services. We supposedly have a 10 year warranty, but what good is it if they don't return calls. I'm at the point where I will be contacting the Better Business bureau if someone does not correct this issue. Companies are only as good as their reputation, and I always prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I need this repaired the correct way.

First word out of my mouth when I go to my pool now is Wow Fiona and Alex put a crew together that came with uniforms and were true craftsman they worked hard and careful thier work is impeccable Family Pools is the way to go if you need your pool and paver’s and this is coming from a retired tradesman thier work is amazing I feel like I have a brand new house can’t thank them enough

Family Pools was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Steve was there every step of the way, responding to text messages with an immediate return phone call (even on the weekends). They were able to complete my pool prior to Memorial Day weekend as I asked ( they were booking 6 weeks out when I finally gave my deposit in late April) so we were were pushing it but they made it happen!!! Even after the pool Was completed Steve gave me pointers on what to set our new variable rate pool pump on and I texted him a picture of my first water test and he told me what chemicals I still needed to add. The workers on site were very friendly and worked extremely hard. My pool refinish is absolutely beautiful and I recommend Family Pools if you want true customer service and quality work.

I highly Recommend Family Pools. They are truly a family. My experience starting with sales, the office staff, field crew, to the final startup was 5 Star. They do excellent work, and they would show up when they said they would. Alex and Nicole in the office are some of the nicest people I have worked with. I am in the construction business and deal with many different trades. Family Pools is one of the best I have come across. Thank you to everyone there who made this a pleasant experience

Read this review from a real customer who just finished my pool. Family Pools shows up on time, their employees (not subcontractors) are polite, clean, knowledgeable and great at their job. The pricing for my job was clear and there were no extras or surprises that were hidden. I did have to have extra tear out because my pool had been resurfaced three times prior but that was something we wouldn’t have known until the remodeling began (it is what is on that). It cost extra for that work but that’s how construction works. I’ve had three pools built and this has been the best experience to date. I would absolutely refer them to renovate or build your next pool. My pool looks amazing I wish I could post pictures.
