My AC/Heater went out christmas day, and a tech was out here the next day to diagnose the issue. It took a few days for the part to come in, but once it did they were here to install it the same day. Bay Area Air Conditioning provides excellent service and reasonable pricing from kind people.

The stars were aligned and I received same day service for my annual cleaning. Bill H was the tech assigned. He was very knowledgeable and personable, and took the time to answer all my questions. Even though I was the last call of the day and it was getting late, he was very thorough and did not rush the job. I have used them for the ten yrs I've been in the house and have found them to be responsive, reliable, and reasonably priced.

I highly recommend Bay Area Air Conditioning. I’ve been using them for 15 years and I’ve always had great service. They sent out Bill today and he was prompt and professional and polite. He did a great job!!
Update to include new HVAC system installed on Feb 25, 2026: Once again I called Bay Area because I needed a whole new system installed! They were very helpful with the whole process. Financing was very easy and fast! Installers James and Collin were prompt. They were courteous and professional and did a superb job! They made sure everything was cleaned and removed all of the debris. I highly recommend Bay Area!

From the moment I placed the call to schedule an estimate, my experience was great with everyone. The inspection & estimate was very thorough, all my questions were answered. The install crew were phenomenal, punctual, very professional, meticulous, and cleaned up afterwards so the only evidence left was this shiny new A/C pumping out ice cold air.

Bill from Bay Area Air Conditioning came out at a reasonable time and was very honest, knowledgeable on what our unit needed. He cleaned our air handler, drain pipe and made sure everything was in working condition. As we just moved into our house two weeks ago and it definitely needed a yearly maintenance. I would definitely recommend this company and Bill himself to come out to service our unit again.

Steve and his crew explained exactly what I needed and what the best route would be. You can definitely tell they take pride in their work. To be honest I did have another company come in to access the non-cooling problem. They told me right away I need a new coil and coolant. I have a home warranty and they will only pay $500 and I have to pay an additional $450+ because they needed a lift to fill the system with coolant.
Steve filled my A/C unit with coolant, did not need a lift. Charged me way less that the other company and I am sitting in my home right now enjoying the cool air.
I also called 2 other companies on Saturday and still have not heard from them.

They are outstanding! They have earned a forever customer and a referral source in me. They answer the phone and get back with you exactly when they say. They will they honor their very fair price quote (no nickel and dime games).

They ran into many issues with my extremely old unit and it took them way longer to complete the job but did it without complaints and kept a great attitude. I had specific concerns and they took extra care to fix those issues for me going above and beyond to make sure I was at happy with the job and explained everything to me in a way I could understand.

I can say i just moved here from out of state and didnt know anyone to recommend a service provider to me and took the chance with them and I tell you they are the real deal, honest and trustworthy. You will not be disappointed if you decide to use this company.. top notch in my opinion.

Our A/C broke one evening at 7pm due to a power surge on a very hot summer night. Steve came to our house by 9pm the same night to see if he could repair the damage. He determined we needed a new unit because ours was fried inside, and he came back at 8am the next morning with two portable AC units to keep us cool until he could return at 8am the following day with the new Unit and Handler. He had us back up and running with a completely new system in about 36 hours. That is better than we ever would have hoped for! We highly recommend Avalon for all your AC repairs and replacement needs! They are kind and wonderful to work with.

Our downstairs AC unit finally (after 21 years) died on us. We had another AC contractor (through Home Depot) come by to give us a price. They of course wanted us to sign right away, but we wanted Steve to weigh in, since he did our last replacement (upstairs unit, 4 years ago). Steve, as always, responded immediately, gave us a much better price (first time... didn't have to negotiate), and installed the new unit the next day. The service, as we've come to expect from Avalon, was fast, thorough, professional, clean, and friendly. We appreciate Steve/Chandler/Tyler and Avalon and will continue to use them any time we have an issue. They've been our AC provider for about 8 years, and we've never had an issue! What a great experience ! Steven and his partner came out very quickly on a Sunday, and from the moment he arrived, he worked with a sense of urgency, care and speed to get my units working. It was a pleasure finding and meeting Avalon after calling 20+ companies. His responsiveness, focus on “getting us going” and attitude were awesome. Although I hope to NOT have to call Avalon again, they will be top of my list !

Avalon Air is absolutely the best AC company in the business. We called them out twice over the course of 3 years- instead of pushing us to buy a new unit-they charged the unit and told us to call if we needed service.
So after getting 3 additional years out of our old AC, and it finally died, we called Avalon Air immediately. Didn’t call anyone else, just called and told them we needed a new AC.
Reasonable price,up and running in about 6 hours, checked and replaced our filters.
