David Lance (Lanco) reviewed the scope of my project, once the architect had drawn up the plans and provided a very reasonable estimate for the whole project
The project entailed demolishing about 600 sq ft of my existing house and starting from scratch, with new foundations for the rebuild, plus a screened in porch.
I have never known any builder/contractor work so efficiently. First with the demo, which took less than a week. Then with the rebuild to architect specs, which went smoothly and calmly.
Lanco has a great app 'Bulders.net', where you can preorder all the tile,flooring,paint,sinks,toilets and accessories ahead of time. They will coordinate when these arrive. This app also keeps track of the monies..e.g. Estimate vs actual costs, plus any add on costs approved by the client.
Lanco stands by their work, and if there are any issues...I had a couple of minor ones......they will fix issues when thay can.
I cannot give these guys enough Kudos for the 4 months they worked with me. They were kind, respectful and helpful the whole time.

I have had many projects of home improvement over the years, dealing with contractors promising one thing and delivering something else, not completing on time. Not the case with LanCo. They worked with us very closely on the initial plan, They showed up on time every day when they said they would, and completed the project on time to our complete satisfaction. Complete open communication insuring our satisfaction on a regular bases. Thank you Lane, Dave, Gauge, and Jeremy. You guys are the best!

We just completed a huge, 3-month remodel of a 70yo home. Lanco wasn't just on time and under budget. They were attentive, communicative, meticulous, and beyond trustworthy. When inevitable problems came up, they were addressed quickly and to the highest quality. Our remodel was a massive undertaking, and we were completely at peace the whole time, because of Lanco. I actually showed a text from David to my oldest daughter at one point, and said to her, "When someone tells you to come to them with a solution rather than a problem, this is what they mean." Everyone we interacted with was first-class, and even subs commented on how much they loved working with Lanco on projects. This is a family-run operation built on integrity and relationships, and we had no cost surprises at all. Highly recommend.

I can't recommend LanCo enough after the work performed for me and my family. Every step of the way we were kept informed and the level of communication was extraordinary. David, Lane and the entire LanCo team are the most honest and reliable contractors I have had the privilege of hiring. They are very transparent, candid and never make any excuses. They make sure the job is done right and back everything they do. After hearing many horror stories before we started our 4 month renovation project, I was prepared for the worst. I would do everything over again with LanCo and certainly plan to use them in the future and recommend them to everyone I know.

I truly can’t say enough about the outstanding job the Lanco team did in building our ADU. David and his team finished our project on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality workmanship and attention to detail. We were continuously provided status updates as to what was happening next, and when it would be happening. They do fixed cost contracts (not cost plus) and will deliver the project for the contracted amount. While their estimate may not be the cheapest, it will not increase unless owner directed changes (and even with those, they only charge for the increase and don’t do “change orders”). I have strong attention to detail and they exceeded my expectations at every point. David and the team are fair, honest, experienced, and consummate professionals in every way. David and his team went above and beyond to ensure we were completely satisfied. I feel lucky to have found Lanco and will never use another contractor again. I give Lanco a resounding 10 out of 10.

David and his team at Lanco were wonderful to work with on our recent home remodel. It was a big job, and our permit process took 2 months longer than anticipated--due only to local authorities, no fault of Lanco. Once our permit was approved, Lanco was promptly on the case and managed to finish the work on the original schedule. Despite the added pressure, everything went smoothly with a lot of weekend work and no unpleasant surprises.

I especially appreciated David and Jennifer's great communication. Every question was answered, big or small, always promptly. When we needed explanations, they were patient and professional in making sure we had the answers we needed. Billing and ordering were also handled in the most professional manner, with email confirmations at every stage, which was very helpful in keeping track of the one million details and decisions required. The construction contract was reasonable, and Lanco was very fair about making adjustments recommended by our attorney.

The crew on site was the same guys throughout: many members of their team have been with them for years. Foreman Mike was especially collaborative and had great suggestions, and all of the crew was very helpful and courteous to us every time we showed up, often unannounced. We were also happy with the subcontractors. All of the finishing looks high end and is far better than the work you see in many homes. Even as we punched out the final details, Lanco continued to work with us to make sure we were happy.

Before we started our project, many of our friends told us to be prepared for a very unpleasant experience undertaking construction, and we heard a lot of horror stories. But we were determined to enjoy our once-in-a-lifetime remodel, and Lanco made that possible. They've been around for decades and earned a great reputation. We checked out several contractors before making our decision to go with Lanco and felt confident from start to finish that we chose the right team. Highly recommended!

We had a very positive experience with Lanco during our extensive home renovation. Lanco uses their own crew for the most part and are not at the mercy of subs. Most of their employees have been with them for years and take a lot of pride in their work. They brought the job in on time at a fair price. They did not take advantage of change orders. We enjoyed having their crew in our home and will highly recommend them to anyone for a home renovation or to build their dream house. We feel very fortunate to have met David Lance and his entire Lanco team.

We had LanCo. Construction do a complete remodel of our 1940s Old Northeast bungalow. We tore down the back-half of the existing home, rebuilt a larger extension and also renovated the existing front including a brand new kitchen. It was such a positive experience from beginning to end. David was a pleasure to work with. He was great at communicating progress, and making sure that my input and design ideas were met with satisfaction. I should also mention that the entire LanCo staff was five star review worthy. They went above and beyond several times to meet my special requests. They even custom built a dog shower in our laundry room and dog ramp in the back yard!

I cannot express my gratitude enough for the beautiful home they built for my family. I’m incredibly happy with the outcome.

LANCO recently completed a garage addition on our house and we had a very positive experience. Lane, David and the entire office staff and crew were super easy to work with and we experienced NONE of the usual contractor drama. They run a construction business like it should be run and we would highly recommend seeing if LANCO would be right for your project.

We purchased a 1950s home in St Pete with the intention of having it completely gutted and expanded. After reading reviews and receiving bids from 8 contractors, we felt confident hiring LanCo for our project and we certainly did not regret that decision.
From the moment we met with Lane and David, we felt LanCo would be a perfect fit. They took our architectural design, as well as our wishes/interests, and turned those into a spectacular product. Throughout the project, we requested LanCo offer professional opinions and advice for what would make sense and work best for our home. Along the way, if we didn’t understand something or had questions about why something was being done, David patiently gave us thorough explanations.
Our project was extensive: the house was completely gutted, reconfigured, got all new plumbing, all new electrical, and roofing, we added a front porch, back patio, detached over-sized two car garage and a breezeway connecting the house, patio and garage. Communication with David and his crew was always smooth and constant, which was crucial for us because we live 3.5 hours away. LanCo uses BuilderTrend, an all-inclusive app for communication (messages/comments), approval of selections, calendar, and project photos. The app is fantastic because there’s a record of everything we discussed, which helps both the homeowner and the contractor. David (and anyone else at LanCo) responded quickly to messages. That being said, if we needed to communicate something to David immediately (or vice versa), we texted or called.
Everyone on the crew was extremely polite, professional and thorough. We stopped by unexpectedly on occasion and always found the crew hard at work. There was never a week when someone on the crew wasn’t busy working on our project. David always kept us abreast of any delays, but surprisingly even during Covid, there weren’t a whole lot of setbacks. In fact, the only delays were from delivery of products, not from LanCo. From demolition to final paint touch-up, LanCo made the entire project as close to stress-free as possible.
David is attentive to detail and does what he needs to do to ensure his homeowner is completely satisfied. Many times, contractors get a bad reputation because they try to pull a fast one on you – we never felt this with David. Compared to the other contracting companies we interviewed for this project, LanCo’s bids was comparable, if not on the lower end. As for the contract itself, we didn’t feel we were nickel and dimed for every little change. LanCo also went above and beyond with last minute requests and minor changes. Even with major issues, like kitchen cabinet and countertop installation, which would have delayed the project if done with a big-box store, LanCo jumped right in and took on the tasks. We can’t say enough about the carpentry and painting teams: superior craftmanship.
If another occasion presents itself for us to do another remodel, LanCo would be our choice hands down. Lane and Jennifer, Gage and Jeremy, Major and Adrian, Mike and Dan, John, Brett and Raven (and any other LanCo employee we didn’t meet in person), and mostly especially David: thank you for your part in turning our dream home idea into a reality!

David is amazing. I bought this house as they were building it and they worked with my to put on some personalized touches. Not only that, down the road if you ever need anything they actually are open to helping you out as well. Grateful for Lanco. Thanks again David!

This is a legit review, I’m rating the company 4 years after (2) bathroom remodels. They did great, I have had no concerns with quality of work since. I would like to convey this is more important than “oh it looks pretty”.... then 2 years later tiles are falling and you have a water leak. They nailed it. Don't get me wrong, it is pretty though!
