Plumber was on time, cordial, thorough, completed in a timely matter and explained his work thoroughly. Fee was very reasonable.

A big plus for me was that the plumber that installed my new pipes was the same person to return to provide an inspection for a potential leak. I should add, no leak found. 🙂

I scheduled an appointment to repair a leaking hot water faucet in my shower for 2 pm. I received a call at 3 saying the plumber got called to an emergency job and couldn't make it until around 1, I said that is fine The plumber called at 5 to say he had a long day and had to work under a house and was dirty and didn't want to do my job tonight and wanted to reschedule for tomorrow morning. Unfortunately I took off work today and can't do so again tomorrow So not only did I lose a day's pay, I still have a leaky faucet

We had a sink replaced, and the service was excellent. Austin was so nice and it looks awesome.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE service. Had a water heater installed (they ordered the wrong size water heater) and they had to open the electrical disconnect box and the plumber (not electrician) tried tugging on the electrical wires in my home to make them reach the incorrect water heater size they ordered. Ended up having to put the entire water heater on cinder blocks just to make it reach the electrical wiring, which is now compromised due to the plumber (not electrician) pulling on the wires through the wall, causing me to now have to spend more money to have an electrician come out and make sure everything is safe for me to live in my home.

While doing some research, I found out that Dowdy Plumbing DID NOT pull the permit to do the work on my house (work was done a week after I paid for the permit). Turns out, the shawdy work done by Dowdy Plumbing's plumber was in fact illegal.

Florida Statute 553.79(1)(a) states: "it shall be UNLAWFUL for any person, firm, corporation, or governmental entity to construct, erect, alter, modify, repair or demolish any building within this state without FIRST obtaining a permit therefore from the appropriate enforcing agency..." (capital letters added for emphasis).

I implore everyone out there, DO NOT hire these guys to even come close to your home...they do things wrong, unlicensed and unlawful. Please consider ANYONE else...do not let them put your family in danger like they did mine.

The pictures attached are my water on cinderblocks in my kitchen and the massive hole and exposed pipe left by the plumber. Both pictures taken after work was "finished" and the plumber left.

Absolute price gouging! Charged $275 to come out and tell us a pipe burst even though that is what we reported to them. Then they said they couldn't come back to repair it for 4 days. We scheduled with someone else to get it done sooner and they wouldn't reduce the $275 at all even after we asked. Would NEVER use them again.

Once again the pros from Dowdy Plumbing hit it out of the park. I am renovating an 80 year old cottage. Working in extreme heat and with only 16-20 inches of clearance under the cottage, Willie and Roy made a very difficult job look easy. No complaining, just a let’s get it done and let’s do it right attitude. These two guys worked their tales off, answered my dumb questions, and we’re a real pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Dowdy Plumbing. Thank you so much.

I’m sorry to see so many bad experiences. I had a great visit. The kid called before he came, showed up a little early. Super polite. I had only minor issues but he seemed to thoroughly investigate the cause. Got everything solved. Super happy. Will call them again.
They do seem busy. I waited over a week but I didnt have anything urgent.

We were supposed to have a new disposal put in, first off they took 4 days to return a call and then said be at our home at 10:00 AM , NO SHOW until 3 1/2 hours later, like no one else has anything to do but wait on them! When you have an appointment, you make that appointment, not just show up 3-4 hours later and expect homeowner to be friendly. I would NOT recommend this company to a DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had to get someone else to put in our disposal

Chad and Wiley were skilled and professional contracted installers on behalf of Lowe’s. They arrived earlier than expected, completed the job quickly and were very careful in keeping the work area clean. Thanks!

Your plumbers Willy & Ron were all of the above but veteran plumber Willy, with the very capable help of his assistant Ron, found a difficult to detect bathroom leak that had been plaguing us for over two years. They were cordial, patient, courteous & professional in demeanor. They made sure the job was done right the first time.

We also liked your company's policy of an upfront cost appraisal before any work was done. That allowed us to plan our finances accordingly.

Willy & Ron are a huge asset to your firm & a mirror of your leadership. We'll spread the word. Well done Dowdy!

Very responsive and modern approach to customer service. They give you a call of when they are coming over and you can follow to see where the van is on the road. Very knowledgeable and friendly people. Would highly recommend anyone that needs plumbing/water heating services. Wished I used them before the six other companies I tried.

Came out when service call was scheduled on time. Very informative. Very efficient. Very fair prices. Very pleased. They will be my go to for plumbing services and hot water heater from now on.

Please send me the other plumber! This new guy is not helping your business. I have screw valve that needs to be replaced going to a fresh water holding tank. Super easy job for a plumber! I guess Dowdy doesn’t fix leaking screw valves? Instead they will waste 1hr of your time and not even look at the job correctly. The kid that came out to do the job didn’t want to work and would rather give an excuse for why he couldn’t do the job.

We were connected to Dowdy Plumbing when we purchased a dishwasher through Lowe's, and we couldn't be more happy with our experience. Even when our Lowe's store couldn't find our unit and delayed our installment, Jennifer was friendly and proactive in communicating with us and helping reschedule (on the same day!). Installation was seamless despite our awkward kitchen counters. We will be counting on Dowdy Plumbing in the future.

This was a wonderful experience and very polite company to work with. The plumber assigned to me "Willie" went out of his way to be kind and courteous and friendly. He was timely and even helped clear up something from the appliance distributor that could have been problematic. It was nice to see someone with experience that cared about the company he worked for. I will most certainly be using Dowdy Plumbing for all my needs in the future.

Dowdy’s was a contracted company from Lowe’s (a nightmare in itself). Due to the lack of communication and planning from Lowe’s our bathroom counters install was delayed by over 3 weeks. Finally the day came when the stars aligned and the counters and plumbers were both available. Austin was sent from Dowdy to disconnect all three bathrooms, but the reconnect was never scheduled due to poor communication once again from Lowe’s. We had a narrow window of time and after talking to Jennifer she was able to rearrange some schedules on her end and get Austin back to reconnect all the bathrooms in a very timely manner. He was very professional and clean! Would completely recommend and use again!

Jennifer got me an appointment within the hour of calling. Willie showed up on time and the problem was fixed very quickly and at a great price. Will definitely use Dowdy Corp. again.

Dowdy has always sent personable, knowledgeable professionals who get me sorted/saved quickly and efficiently. In seven years, they’ve never had to fix or adjust anything they’ve worked on previously. Their whole team is great!
