Third Generation has always been quick to respond, correctly diagnose and repair. Rafael has been the tech that has serviced me the most and I completely trust him.

Raphael from third generation was very pleasant to work with. He quickly discovered that the motor for my compressor fan needed to be replaced. Within in minutes I was up and running and after 2 days of suffering from the heat at my house it was cool again. I highly recommend Rafael to anyone needing emergency services for their home AC unit as he is very knowledgeable with what he does as he was able to explain what he was repairing through every step of the process.

Third Generation Plumbing would like to upsell me two new vanity faucets instead of changing out the cartridge to fix the leak. They declined to speak to home warranty (AHS) and myself instead said that I need to call back without AHS on the line. I called AHS several times which their representatives gives empty promises. Stay away from these two companies instead hire those willing to work and not ripping of customers!!

This company was sent out through my home warranty to snake a slow draining sink. Long story short, they broke pipes in my wall and foundation with their negligent technique. It flooded our only bathroom and the adjoining bedroom. Afterwards, they tried to have me sign a liability waiver. Since then they have been uncommunicative and apparently lied to our home warranty company.

Third generation plumbing is a completely unethical business. If you want to hear their true reviews, check out their BBB profile. This type of behavior is common for Third Generation. They have to have contracts with home warranties to drum up business because I suspect otherwise they don’t have many repeat customers. I rarely leave bad reviews but Third Generation deserves 0 stars. Avoid at all costs.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY,THEY WILL SCAM YOU.
If I could give -0 stars I would.

I had them look at a leak that was dropping downstairs from an upstairs shower/tub. After gaining access to the back wall and ceiling, he said I needed a new tub because it was slightly tilted. The est to replace the tub was $2150 (+another $950 if I wanted the trimming replaced so ~$3,000). The tech also sealed a small crack between the shower and wall saying that should fix it for a few months. 3 days later after letting the seal dry, WE STILL HAD THE LEAK. I looked at the access point myself and one of the main shower liners was soaking wet....also 10 hours since someone took a shower. There was also blue corrosion where the pipe was leaking from. I called the place back and said I see what the issue. After having to escalate to a manager, they sent the same tech out. He said that that's normal to have corrosion like that...even though I can see the same type pipe with no corrosion. He stood by his first assessment, stating I need a new tub and is I want it replace I would need to pay up front. That's when all types of red flags popped up because I never pay for full service until work is complete.

Long story short, I had another company come out that was highly rated (unlike this scam of a company) The tech was able to ID the bad pipe within seconds (it was the same pipe I showed this scam of a company). After the tech's assessment and est I asked did I need a new tub at all.....he looked at me with the most confused faced and said no, you only need to get a new tub if you make a hole in it. That's when I told him the back story and showed him this company's est. He just shook his head. I paid about 350 dollars to get the issue fixed, new trimmings (only changed 450) as well as replaced some other non related items for about 200 (~$1000 total)

It's been 3 weeks since the other company fixed the piping issue and I no leaks what so ever. The drywall people 2 weeks later even confirmed that is was 100% dry now in the area of the leak with multiple people taking showers daily.

DO NOT TURST OR USE THIS COMPANY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Poor communication and questionable practices. I had a very disappointing experience with this company, which was dispatched by my home warranty provider to repair a malfunctioning AC unit at my rental property.

From the start, communication was a major issue. After diagnosing a coil leak, the company did not proceed with any repairs until I paid out-of-pocket for refrigerant — a requirement they failed to communicate. I only found out no work had been done when I contacted the tenant directly.

After I made the payment, I assumed they would be replacing the coil because they did not say repair and the standard practice is usually replacement. Instead, they removed the coil to repair it — again, without informing me. I only learned the coil had been removed when I followed up myself. At that point, they told me it takes 48 hours to pressure test the coil. Based on that timeline, I expected the unit to be reinstalled by Friday. However, when I called that day, I was told the repair hadn't even started and wouldn’t begin until sometime the following week — nearly 10 days after the initial diagnosis.

The lack of transparency, poor communication, and the decision to repair a coil (which is not commonly done in the industry) were all extremely frustrating. For something as essential as AC in a rental property during the warmer months, the delay and lack of accountability were unacceptable.

Buyer Beware!!!! - they are rude, dishonest, and scam you. They came out and looked at a pipe leak and gave me a signed quote to repair it and even sent an electronic copy. Before I could use them for the repair I was told I needed to remove the kitchen countertops and cabinets. After doing so I called to schedule my repair and magically the new cost was $1150, when I told them I had a signed quote for the job of $750 as well as electronic confirmation showing such they said they didn't care and the new cost was $1150. When asked why the change and what invoice or quote they were getting that number from they couldn't provide me one and just said that's the new number if you want us to do it, otherwise use someone else.

So just wanted to say a big thanks to Third generation plumbing. And AC. You guys did a great job coming out last minute and hooking me up with my new ac system. Within a couple days David came out and did a great job answering all my questions with no pressure for a sell He was very knowledgeable and experienced. They have a great 0% for 10 years. That really helped in my situation with funds being a little tight, the install went very quickly and efficiently. They kept it clean, Deandre in Shane. Thank you so much for your awesome job. Thank you guys. I hope more people reach out to you and realize what a great service you're offering everyone. So fast forward the installment went great trying to work with a office staff that doesn't return calls or Katie who doesn't want To hear about the last three calls you made to them, because they never called you back in as rude when she's trying to get to the point and you're trying to tell her you've called two times to get this scheduled only to be Toad, they will get back with me. I called them today and felt like I was the bad person when they've never reached out to me for my second inspection. I still feel they are good company, but their office staff.Needs to work on how they treat their paying customers

We were SO pleased with Rafael! We were put in touch with Third Generation Plumbing and A/C through our home warranty company. June aint even got here yet and our A/C seemed to have a little trouble keeping up with the demand. We have no idea if anything was wrong, but we definitely wanted to get it checked and serviced before the Florida summer really takes a foothold. The entire time Rafael was here, he was explaining how the A/C "should" work, and how our vents throughout the house should be pointing, and pointed out various other good DIY checks. He checked and explained all of the readings he took and he replaced the capacitor that was not yet bad but was going bad, which could have contributed to part of our issue. Long story short, our first encounter with this company, Third Generation Plumbing and A/C was very enjoyable and beneficial, at least thanks to an employee by the name of Rafael!

I was sent here by my home warranty. The tech was lazy and didn't really help me or do anything except track dirt into my home. He said I needed to hire a plumber and spend $1,800. I don't know why they have pluming and AC on their van because he's clearly incompetent. I was able to fix the issue myself and I only spent $25.

We are very pleased with the HVAC service which the technician from Third Generation provided. David quickly diagnosed the problem with our air conditioning and completed the necessary repairs. He was on time, thorough, and very professional. I would recommend this company in the future.

Just had an exceptional experience with Third Generation Plumbing, A/C & Mechanical, Rafael in specific. He absolutely went above & beyond - so professional. Highly recommend this company!!!!

We can't say enough great things about Rafael and the service we received! From start to finish, the experience was flawless. He was incredibly professional and took the time to thoroughly explain everything in simple terms. Not only did Rafael fix the issue quickly, but he also went above and beyond to ensure our heater was running more efficiently than ever before.

What truly impressed us was the attention to detail and care shown throughout the process. He even offered some great tips for maintaining our system to avoid future problems. It's clear that Rafael takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about customers.

If you're looking for a skilled, knowledgeable, and trustworthy professional, look no further. I highly recommend Rafael.

Thank you for keeping our home warm!

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. This company, its management, and PJ (field supervisor) have earned every bit of this review.

They came to my house to fix a problem, replaced a part on the system, and completely failed to identify a leak in the outside coil. I ended up paying them $800 to refill the A/C refrigerant. A month and a half later, my system was empty again—because of the leak they missed.

When I called for help, they refused to remediate the issue. Instead, they were rude, dismissive, and even hung up on me. PJ went so far as to claim that his techs are “perfect” and “don’t make mistakes,” therefore they would do nothing to make it right.

Recommendation: Stay far away from Third Generation Plumbing and A/C Mechanical Company, Inc. They will take your money, ignore their mistakes, and leave you with the same problem you started with.

FYI 3 days later - no one from the company has followed up, this shows how much they care to do business the honest way.

The worst company ever. Have been out 4 times for an ac issue through American home shield. They continue to say there is no issue and I continue to call an ac company out to fix the ac issue. I called today. The representative today and told them I need someone out today. He was very rude. Stay for away. Hiring them will be a huge mistake.

Going on a week with no AC, even though this company has been out a few times. Each technician reports everything is fine and running great. The coolest my house has dropped to is 83 degrees.
We have even caught one technician lying to the company. He took a picture of the thermostat when you set the temp and told them it was the temp in the house.
The woman answering the phones is also very rude when you point out their technicians are lying to them. You will get hung up and told that you are the liar.
Don’t use this company unless you like wasting money.

Recently had a positive experience with Third Generation, who had been recommended through AHS. Rafael was honest and very knowledgeable. He not only fixed my issues, but also explained his steps and things along the way to look out for as a homeowner. The staff at Third Generation was also great to communicate with throughout the process. I'd recommend if you're looking for a reliable team to help with your A/C issues!

We are so pleased with Chris from your company. He was on time, courteous (loved our dog) and honest about the work that needed to be done. Based on our experience with Chris, we would highly recommend Third Generation.

American Home Shield, our Appliance Warranty Co. contracted Third Generation to repair our A/C. Today Third Generation's Repair technicians, Robert and Ameer installed a new compressor in our HVAC unit. These men were very professional and knowledgeable in explaining everything, and answering all of our questions. They were also very polite, as were the entire Third Generation team. We have used this company before, and most certainly recommended them.

Tanner and Taylor came to Pinellas county twice in one week to make sure the job was done right. Other plumbers just caulked outside wall cracks as a bandaid. They got under the house and spent a whole day to fix the actual problem not just finding an easy way out. Then they came back the same week to make sure everything was working good still. Great energy and customer service and quality work.
