Of course A/C failures never happen during business hours in the week, so when we had to schedule an after-hours service call on the weekend, we were expecting the usual runaround. With Hoffman, it was precisely the opposite. The answering service was friendly, yet professional, gathering all my information, and the technician was polite, friendly, and did not look, in the slightest, that he was wrapping up a long, hot day. He quickly diagnosed the situation, fixed the issue, and made recommendations to improve the life of the system. He also referenced additional services that Hoffman offers that we may utilize in the future, based on our plans for the home and family. We would definitely recommend using Hoffman, and they will be our first call in the future.

The crew not only fit us in within an hour of calling - they quoted us half of the other well known electric company, and fixed the urgent request immediately. I will send this company to all of my friends moving forward. They are honest, fair, and affordable.

In preparation of hurricane season 2025, I purchased a generator for my home and hired Hoffman Electrical to install a lockout transfer switch and 50amp outlet. Although the installation was a 5 star rating, the installer went the extra mile by testing and performing a demo with the generator on how to use the switch which verified the outlet's functionality.

I was extremely disappointed with the job done by Hoffman electric. They never advised us. They were going to leave the premises with three big holes. They showed up later than expected by the end of the day . technician was tired and wanted to finish the job quick. I called to complain why I was not told initially when I made the appointment that they were going to leave my place with those three big holes. Not even a recommendation or how to get them taken care I called the office twice for a referral on Handy Man or drywall person to make my place look the way it was. nothing now one phone call back really bad customer service. Now I am left with an extra bill for probably thousand bucks. I wish I can post the pictures. will not recommend it. They do not stand behind their jobs.

What a great experience. I had tried contacting other companies with no success. When I called Hoffman, Rosie answered and was so professional and efficient getting a next day appointment. Rodel arrived and was friendly, technically knowledgeable, straight explanation and very professional. Will definitely use and refer others to Hoffman.

Mike Thorpe was very mindful of what needed to be done. He is very knowledgeable as an electrician with over 20 years of experience. Very pleasant personality. I would definitely use Hoffman Electrical again and ask for Mike as well. He was very honest as to what needed to be done and what didn't with an issue with my electrical box.

Eric, my technician, was great. Very personal and answered all my questions. The availability to get an electrician same day I called was also a plus. The only downside was the pricing to replace a standard size breaker. Well overpriced. I needed it done so I paid the $314. There is also a $49 service trip charge but the office manager was kind enough to waive it. I will definitely shop around for future servicing.

Called Hoffman Electric for a simple outlet issue. They charge a $49 upfront fee, which I agreed to — but no one ever mentioned an additional $250 assessment fee. The technician was here for less than 10 minutes, found nothing wrong, and still charged the this crazy amount.
I feel this is completely unfair and misleading. If nothing is broken and no repairs are made, customers shouldn’t be taken to the cleaners with surprise fees.
I even spoke with the manager afterward, and he said there was nothing he could do, which was shocking to hear from someone in a management position. I expected more accountability from leadership. He did say, they usually charge more and I had a discount. WOW pricy....
If you plan to use Hoffman Electric, make sure to ask upfront about all hidden fees. I will note the electrician was good.

We've looking around for an electrician to do some work in our office for awhile. Called Hoffman Electric and they got someone out to us immediately. Eric was very professional and was able to get our project done immediately. Time down is loss of money for our office. He got us up and running as promised within an hour. Very happy with this company and Eric. Would recommend to everyone. Top notch

Second time using Hoffman Electrical. Several years ago they wired the house for our generator hookup which has worked perfect. This time we called to have them hookup a pool heater. Mike T is knowledgeable, professional, tidy and friendlly. He explained what he was going to do and answered questions from my husband and I. We were scheduled for next week but they had an opening and moved us up! Pool was already heating before Mike T finished putting away his tools! Definitely great to have a reliable electrican in your contacts! Thanks Mike T for you great work!

My experience with Hoffman Electrical & A/C was great! The customer service over the phone was very friendly and my electrician showed up on time. Our electrician, Hector, was very cordial and knowledgeable. He successfully resolved our electrical issue and was able to give us a few future pointers. Thank you, Hoffman Electrical & A/C. I surely hope we don’t have another electrical issue around our house for quite some time; but if/when we do, I will definitely be contacting Hoffman Electrical & A/C.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! At the time of my review this company came to our home, they did not repair the problem as we had a light fixture that made loud noises, popped, and started smoking 2.5 hours after the technician left our home. $658 later the problem is still not resolved. They have not provided an email or photos as requested and as promised by this company. I have contacted the supervisor for my job and I still do not have an email nor photos after they cut out a large hole in our master bedroom ceiling to access the area. I have tried to find a way to email them directly to request a 3rd time my invoice & photos, there is no way to email the supervisor directly not has a business card or direct phone numbers been provided. You call and get a call center. They will be sending out another representative this afternoon but the trust has now been broken. I will revise this review only if things get better, they honor their work I have already paid for, I will give them an opportunity to deliver the service they promised and I paid for. Sadly at this moment we do NOT recommend Hoffman Electrical & AC.
CORRECTION to THEIR RESPONSE, First of all I called to report the popping & fire sparks, smoke from outdoor light fixture at 7:52pm. They claim I called after hours which yes I was close to the time frame but that is not true but to make things worse I had to call this company again the following day due to the fact I never heard from them from the night before as well as the Manager claims this was the first of hearing of this. There is a break down somewhere and it’s not impressive at this time! Yes they sent another technician out as promised by the Manager, nothing was found, although the technician left 4 wire nuts on the ground after installing the light back, leaving us concerned that it was not replaced properly. After the 2nd technician came out, I was successful with getting a video showing the exact same problem occurring again! It popped multiple times and finally a small fire explosion with smoke! So again, $658 later NOTHING is fixed. Also the problem is not one of these technicians climbed in the attic to assure all electrical connections were secure! Yes I gave permission trusting they would go in the attic to check electrical connections, No photos as promised, nothing, not one technician went in the attic so now I have a mess to fix but they did not do their job! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!

Nelson was here on time. He and the ladies in the office (Angel and Amanda) kept me abreast of his arrival time plus had sent me a bio about him! He was very thorough , thoughtful, considerate and knowledgeable about the work required in my condo! I am truly amazed and appreciative of their great customer service. Hoffman Electrical was referred to me by a client (Leavon Flowers) who had her home rewired due to hurricane damage from 2024. She was greatly pleased with their work!

I was getting quotes for a recalled electric panel that is in the top 5 most dangerous panels ever produced. I was told I was getting a new panel but all I got was a new circuit. JD the manager was full of excuses and denied the panel was dangerous. No licensed electrical should be touching the current panel and they should advise their customers of this.
