The reviews here are all right about this company and Robert. I didn’t end up working with the company because they don’t do what I’m looking to do with my home but it gave me a great tips. Highly recommended.

Mr Robert Cairns with Tampa Bay General Contractors has been the most responsive and helpful General Contractor during the purchase of my new home. He helped me to communicate intelligently with Hillsborough County to address the faulty workmanship that was used and the lack of permits that were obtained for work that was done on my home prior to my purchase.

We have worked with Tampa Bay General, and have completed multiple projects, those include engineered drawings, permits and coordinated all inspections.

Robert and his staff are wonderful to work with.

I have to give them a 5 out of 5 just for the customer service. Unfortunately, I was not able to use them based on what I was needing done but I sure wish I could have. Robert was so friendly and took the time to explain everything I will need to do even though he knew he would not be getting business out of me. I see why they have such great reviews.

I was searching for a residential contractors and just about everyone I found had a poor review or two because they never showed up or were hard to contact once contract was signed. I called a few that had 4 stars to get a quote and one wanted my name and what I was calling about before I could be put through to a person. That made me worried that they screen their calls. I did my research and found Tampa Bay General Contractors. They had great reviews on multiple websites. I called and Robert the owner answered and was very personable. He was not able to help with my specific need, but took time to give me ideas and recommendations that would not benefit him at all. I appreciated his honesty.

Look no further... Robert is truly the Best of the Best, a title he has absolutely earned! We were fortunate to have Robert agree to take on our project...we hired him to build out our laundromat, LaundroLab, the first franchised store nationwide. Robert set the bar high for future LaundroLab franchisees. He is incredibly detail oriented, knowledgeable, and one of the hardest workers you will find. He provided a construction timeline and finished on schedule. We referred to him as our Captain, he handled absolutely everything. His team of subcontractors have been working with him for years, everyone was professional, showed up on time, and finished on time! He runs a tight ship, he's kind, well respected, a man of his word, and he truly cares. He is the definition of a trusted partner. We have plans to build more stores and could never imagine working with anyone but Robert and the TBGC team!

I just got off the phone with Robert and he spent 17 minutes of his time explaining all of the information needed to do a project. Robert provided amazing advice and help as I don’t really know what I’m doing! He was very patient, kind and efficient and answered all of my many questions! I so appreciate a genuine and professional person such as him and definitely recommend working with this contracting company!

Robert, spent a lot of time with me after reviewing my 4 pt inspections, flood certificate and survey. He went over and above answering all of my many questions. One thing led to another and I never felt rushed or that I was bothersome to him. Robert actually saved me a lot of money with all of his knowledge and expertise. I am happy and very grateful.

I have worked with Robert Cairns the owner of Tampa Bay General Contractors on multiple projects. I myself am a licensed structural engineer in multiple states. I have great respect for the work that TBGC does. His attention to detail is top notch and craftsmanship is far none. I would highly recommend using Robert and his crews for any of your project needs.

My house needed major structural repairs (floors were caving in due to rotten floor joists) and Robert and TBGC were recommended to me by my real estate agent. While this repair was not a pleasant experience (because of the unexpected cost and the fact that we were on lock-down and stuck in our house while the repairs happened), Robert and his team made every effort to complete the repairs as quickly as possible. They worked over the weekends and often late into the evening. The quality of the work is excellent, and Robert was very responsive to any questions and always kept us up to date with progress and any developments. I highly recommend TBGC.
