Very easy to access on the weekdays. It is crazy long on the weekends. You need to have your tax documents showing you pay taxes to hillsborough county. It is very clean but it is sometimes confusing on what to dump where. Takes everything except hazardous materials including lightbulbs. You need to go to the Sheldon location on the first Saturday of the month from 8a-3pm. Make sure you get there early!

We’ve hauled our excessively big disposal items on occasion (we’ve also used special pickups) and found the process to be easy and inexpensive and the employees to be helpful and extremely courteous. Coming from the Chicago area (where I’m sure the county has improved), Hillsborough is AMAZING.

The staff at the Solid waste facility was so helpful and kind to us (a couple of millennials who didn’t know what we were doing). Kenneth running the cool claw solid waste grabber was such and amazing help!

Rented a Uhaul to dispose of an old couch and other items. Arrived at 4:30 and they were already closed. Now we have to pay for another day of Uhauk and extra miles. Wasted.my friend's time who who took time off work to help me. Now I have to find someone else to help me tomorrow. If your hours change, you might want to update your website 😠

I was dropping our old washing machine off and a worker named Ken noticed my tire was going flat. He asked his supervisor if he could use their equipment to put air in my tire and he said yes. I just wanted to give a big shout out to Ken for taking care of me today! Our world could certainly use more people like Ken!

Worst place ive ever been in my life, I vomited all over my car from the sludge and smell and ruined my shoes, unprofessional staff and they charge you $75, go to PASCO county dump , they won’t charge you for a small amount and it doesn’t smell like hell on earth . Only reason I went was because PASCO dump was closed. They need to use tax payer money to improve this facility, crazy terrible establishment, a quality is example of a dump is west PASCO landfill, save your nose, save your lungs, dump at a more responsible location.

They are not open for hurricane debris. Governor required all sites be open. And this is even within working hours. (I am aware some people have a lot of clean up to do, even those employees).

First, we called to see what the process was to dump excess furniture from moving and were told that, if not an owner of a home, the price is $7 to dump as long as you have valid ID. We felt confident with what we were told and moved forward with driving to Linebaugh to dump our excess furniture. Upon arrival we drove to the weigh scale and proceeded to tell the employee collecting payment what we were there for and she insisted that not only did we owe $7 to dump but also that we owed a $45 deposit that was only acceptable in cash. It was 4:50 on a Friday and needed only two minutes to dump a couch and a dresser. We said we did not have $45 in cash because we were not made aware of this when we called to ask what we needed. After we had proclaimed how badly we needed to dump this furniture we were allowed to look up the tax records of the landlord, which was helpful and then told to go ahead and drive to the garbage receptacles to alleviate our Uhaul of all trash. Once arriving we were screamed at by employees to hold on and that it was 5:01 and that they were closed and we were not allowed to dump our trash. We were given horrible treatment and the employee did not even know their own process. After 10-15 minutes of explaining to the gentleman what had happened, he shrugged his shoulders and said just hurry up after getting many irritated looks from employees. We needed two minutes and were given the runaround and the employees were horrendous at customer service. This place is horribly ran and horribly communicated for those of us whom do not visit the dump on a regular basis. Educate your employees on the benefits of providing helpful information so that time is not wasted on both parties.

Plowing through a hundred birds in a enclosed building with no space. Trackor fails to be worth there time. Debris all over the floors. Glass and such in my tire tread after passing through. They hold your ID and have $11.40 minimum

If you're dropping stuff off as an individual homeowner, head straight once you turn at the light and do not go towards the big building on your right. Collections (paint and such) is straight ahead and then it curves to the left. All I needed was my driver's license, and the guy pointed me to the right bin to drop off my stuff. Easy now that I have been there once.

Went to dump some drywall from storm damage at my aunt's house. I was told I needed $125.00 deposit. So I said ok I have $120 cash and put the $5.00 on my card and I was told no and turned away over 5 dollars. I was not dumping my whole truck just a few pieces of drywall the lady was rude and told me to bad my id said im not from Hillsborough county and I told your right I was born and raised her. Lived in Hillsborough for 43 years. But moved

ID and Tax papers are all you need. In and out today with a trailer load.

I took an old outdoor wicker loveseat and the cushion plus an old plastic tub I no longer needed to the Northwest Waste facility on W. Linebaugh Ave yesterday. I was never there before so I wasn't exactly sure how to drop stuff off but the staff was patient and helpful.

When you get there, you drive up onto this little ramp which is also a scale. It weighs your car so it knows how much you have going in. You do have to get out of your car to go to the little window to show them your ID and to give them a credit card so that they can put a temporary hold on it. My hold was for $53 but the hold may be more if a you have a bigger car with more stuff in it.

I then drove around to where the trash is and the man directed me to back up my car and told me that I could get out to place my 3 items in the pile. (You do have to unload your items yourself so if you're dropping off something heavy definitely bring some help.) After that I drove back out, my car got weighed again to determine exactly how much weight I dropped off and my fee only came to $9.69 for everything in the picture below! Very reasonable, very easy. It only took me 28 minutes total to get it done and that includes the drive there, the weighing/unloading/payment and the drive back. I was so surprised! 😁

***Renters do not need to show any property tax information***That's the only feedback I would give their website is to make it more clear for renters as there are many of us in Tampa. Oh and the lady working at the weigh booth said that I came at a good time of day because from 1:45pm on it gets very busy with commercial trash trucks having to drop off their hauls for the day. So I would let tenants know that anytime between 7:30am to 1:30pm is a the best time to go to avoid getting stuck behind a huge trash truck--not only will it take them longer to drop off their stuff but the smell from the trash trucks will be gross.

Recycle! Great place to drop off all kinds of recycling. Doing the area and the planet a favor saving space in a landfill somewhere! Bins for the normal recycling open to the public. Paint, batteries, oil, coolant and other hazardous materials are accepted the 1st Sat of every month @ 9805 Sheldon Rd.

This place is a well oiled machine as from the perspective of a homeowner who uses the dump services a few times a year. The patrons can get a little annoying but there's usually an employee to keep things running smoothly. The only times I've ever had any problems were on high traffic visits and it's usually due to one bad apple who thinks the world revolves around them, creating problems for everyone. The majority of my encounters with the staff are pleasant and informative. Keep up the good work, your patience and helpfulness is appreciated.

Very professional and ease of working with Associate Margaret this morning concerning the replacement of a missing wheel for garbage bin.

It is a community collection site a.k.a. dump. You unload it but you get rid of your junk. It can be busy on the weekends but they try to move you through efficiently.

From my understanding, there’s contracts with private companies that handle trash collection with the Hillsborough Solid Waste Department. Well, hands down, the absolute worst experience with trash collection I’ve had and I have lived in 4 different states (been in FL for 9 years). In my area (off Logan Gate, near Tampa Day School—33625) they generally leave trash laying around and carelessly handle the bins as you can see in these pics from today. They have left trash bins laying in the middle of the street with trash literally hanging out from them. So these bins in particular, which are for my house, was damaged badly today by today’s collection. Aside from the carelessness handling trash, same goes for recycling in my area. It’s honestly an embarrassment.

Let’s also address how there have been days and nearly a week and a half in the past where they have missed collections. Terrible service.

This is a really good place for smaller loads that are not so heavy and it’s open on Saturdays. We use it regularly.

Today, the wait was long at approximately 1:15 pm, with a staffer having extended discussions with car drivers. It was no different when my turn arrived. I was wearing a mask since I was coughing, the car window barely opened, and I gave the tax assessment paper and DL. He's now 2 feet away and says, "Are you sick? If you are, you shouldn't be here". I put out my hand to get my paperwork back and couldn't help but comment that I had a mask due to a cough onset, and was in my car. Amazing to experience this in a waste facility, having someone judge you without provocation, and contained in my vehicle. Unfortunately, we pay for this service.

It’s so easy to get there and dump all your unwanted things. Furniture, mattresses, everything. My experience is even better each time I go. And the staff is always very friendly.
