Stuart was incredible! He came out within less than 24 hours, diagnosed and fixed the issue! Was in and out within an hour .

Stay away from this company!
This company took over Simpson Air. Below all the issues since this happened:
-Simpson Air had a perk that if you bought filters from them, you got a discount on the maintenance plan. They did not honor this after acquisition.
-Regardless of this, we paid for the maintenance plan.
-We got the maintenance check done and no issues were escalated.
-3 months later the HVAC stopped working. Turns out it was a problem that was visible during the maintenance and they didn’t address it.
-This employee called Shirley Seda comes and takes 0 accountability for the fact that it was present during the paid maintenance check. Comes with empty apologies.
-She prepares quotes that are insanely high and says that will send them.
-When the quotes arrive, only a part of then arrived.
-We have called them, emailed them, etc, to get the rest of the quotes that we need for our insurance claim. After significant followup, this Shirley employee calls back and is extremely rude saying thing like “she doesn’t want to waste her time with sending us quotes if we don’t assure her we will use Del Air”.
-A month later and I still don’t have the quotes I need for the insurance due to her negligence.
Do yourself a favor and stay clear from this incredibly unprofessional and mediocre company. -
Disappointed with quality and service for a fairly new system.
We purchased a new AC unit less than five years ago for around $6,000. Recently, the system stopped working and the issue was traced to a refrigerant leak — likely caused by a misplaced wire inside the unit. A technician spent nearly 7 hours at our home diagnosing and repairing the issue. Despite the unit being under warranty, we were charged $1,600 for labor and refrigerant.
After speaking with another HVAC professional, it became clear that this was most likely an installation issue, yet we were still responsible for the full repair cost. To make matters worse, we’ve now been told the unit also needs a new control board. Even though the part is covered under warranty, Del-Air is refusing to provide it unless we pay them $600 to install it — despite the fact that a qualified family member could easily handle the installation.
I fully respect the hard work of HVAC technicians and don’t mind paying fair labor costs. However, under these circumstances — with a relatively new system and what appears to be an installation-related failure — this feels like we’re being taken advantage of. Very disappointed in how this situation was handled. -
We were original customers of Simpson Air and did not have any issues or concerns with that company. However, our experience has significantly deteriorated since its merger with Del-Air Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing, primarily due to consistent poor communication and unrealistic scheduling practices. We have encountered numerous instances of missed appointments without any prior notification to cancel or reschedule. On one occasion, we waited until 10:30 PM for a scheduled appointment between 6–8 PM, with absolutely no communication from the company. When we called, we were told that we were "still on the schedule" and would be contacted if a technician would not be able to come.
Even when we received a call to schedule an appointment, both my husband and I took time off work, only to experience yet another no-show without any communication or explanation. When we followed up, we were informed that the necessary part was unavailable—despite having been previously told that it was in stock, which was the reason for scheduling the appointment in the first place. To make matters worse, the company rescheduled the appointment (that was a no show) to a time we were unavailable, once again without consulting us or notifying us in advance.
Our repeated requests to speak with a manager have gone unanswered. Each time, we are told that the matter has been "escalated to dispatch," but two days later, we are still waiting for a manager to contact us.
The one positive aspect of our experience has been Chris who provided excellent service during the single appointment where a technician actually showed up. Chris was professional and thorough and pleasant to work with.
Update 1/14/25 - Thank you Karoline for your response. We also sent an email to the address you mentioned (based on responses to other reviews) on 1/13/25 with this information. We look forward to your response.
Update 1/17/25 - We received a phone call from a supervisor on 1/14 apologizing and rescheduling our appointment for 1/17/25 between 4-6pm. It is now 7:37 PM on 1/17/25 and no technician has shown up and we have not received any communication. When we called to follow up we were told that we can "reschedule for tomorrow" to which we advised would not be an option. We were told they would check on the status of the technician and have him call us. An update will be provided when/if we receive a response........ -
Scam artists! Here's the deal. Del-Air came out to my home because my upstairs unit was not working it would blow cool and then would turn off. Two reps came over, and from the start they "found" multiple issues with the unit, over $7,500 worth (that was their quote), but they tried to sell me a new unit, one for $50,000, then worked their way down to $13,000 and pressured us about monthly electric bill costs savings etc. Slimy!! We decided to get a second opinion and shocker, all we had was a blocked pipe. They flushed it out and it cost me $80. And guess what, air is still working perfectly! Shoutout to Lakeside Heating and Cooling. They saved the day! If you decide to use Del-Air, just be mindful that they are not an honest company and you may be "fixing" things that do not need to be fixed! Wild!!

Steer clear from this place!!! My AC stopped working and called them to evaluate the issue. I was quoted 11k to replace coils in both inside and outside units or 22k for a new system. I was told my AC was not under warranty. That was a lie. I was told both inside and outside units had issue. That was a lie. Based on second opinion I got today only inside unit has and issue and is still under warranty. Called and emailed them back to give them the opportunity to clarify what was going one. Did not hear back. Steer clear!

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Del Air. Three months ago, they did a full maintenance check and told me my AC system was in perfect shape. Now it’s malfunctioning, and a different tech shows up, says it’s leaking, and demands $250 for Freon on the spot.
When I asked how a “perfect” system suddenly started leaking, he shrugged it off and said he had no idea—just that I needed to pay immediately if I wanted cool air again. No explanation, no ownership, just pressure.
I feel lied to, manipulated, and ripped off. This is not how you treat loyal customers. I’ll never use Del Air again and strongly warn others to think twice before trusting them. -
Our A/C stopped working around noon today. I immediately called and was told a tech would arrive between 4-6pm. By 5:30pm, Branson came out. He quickly diagnosed / fixed the issue plus did a thorough check-up on everything to make sure there were no other issues! He was so nice and was quick to fix.
It was expensive, but that is on the company not the tech! -
When we called about the unit that was installed in our home during construction we were under the impression our home warranty was still with Del-Air, we were wrong. The rep that answered the clearly knew this but told us the tech would have the details of our warranty - that did not exist.
After the tech diagnosed the problem he told my wife the estimate was $17,000.00 to replace the entire unite (inside and out) but would not give us a written estimate. The tech told my wife that they do not send written estimates since it often forces customers to make decisions faster. Shady sales tactic and certainly not something you tell the customer.
We had to pay the tech $99.00 just to go away since we were not going to pay $17,000.00 to get the units replaced without a quote or details of the service. It is a shame the phone rep didn't just tell me we did not have a warranty. We went with another company and had the units replaced for $9,000.00 and they are working great. Y'all beware of the shady sales tactics Del-Air uses. -
As many have posted, Del-Air purchased/took over for Simpson Air. My unit is 5 years old. Had Del-Air come out after acquiring Simpson Air. No issues on annual maintenance. Purchased a maintenance service plan from them. They come back on the first maintenance after purchasing the plan. Tech is hard selling me on a rejuvenation package, re-purchasing my annual maintenance in advance, and repair my outside disconnect switch. He claimed due to the hurricane six months ago it damaged the disconnect. After looking at the damage, it was clear in my opinion, the damage was international vs. weather related. The tech continued to hard sell me on $2,000 worth of unnecessary services and maintenance plans. That was bad on its own, but the tech then attempted to scare me into replacing the disconnect switch for $600 as “my house could burn down”. On top of that, he was unwilling to honor a 15% discount given for maintenance plan I had purchased. It was obvious this was his way to sell unneeded services by scaring folks their house will burn down if they don’t. I ran him off my property and called another AC company. They came out no charge and said there is nothing to be concerned about with my unit. It’s newer and in very good condition. He recommended no services. Not even the damaged disconnect switch. He said he’ll put a note to turn off the main breaker vs. using disconnect. I can only imagine an elderly person/couple hearing this sales pitch/threat and just signing for hundreds or even thousands of dollars in unnecessary repairs out of fear. I will NEVER use Del-Air again. And I hope like other folks who have posted new customers will steer clear. There is no making it right. Once trust is broke it can never be repaired.

Very disappointed!!! I called for service on 8/5 at 8:30 am. They scheduled appt for Tech to come between 2-4pm. I left work early to be home. At 4:20 I called to get an ETA. The rep told me the Tech was finishing up and on there way. At 6:22pm I received a text that said, “ Due to high volume they are running behind schedule.” NO one ever showed up. It’s now 11am on 8/6, and NO one called me to explain and apologize . This will be the first and last time I contact Del Air. You made a horrible first impression.

Reggie came out and inspected our A/C unit and was extremely thorough and did it with such professionalism. Would highly recommend!

I’d like to add my voice to the cascade of recent one star reviews. We had them out for regular annual maintenance and the tech found several problem areas we should address for a cost over $4,000. We said no thanks especially since the tech justified this by very quickly showing me pictures of the supposed problems on his phone. Why not show me the actual problem? Can’t do, too much rework to show you. Right.
Not long after we realized our fan was running 24/7, never turning off. Called Del-Air and a different tech came out. After switching off an “override switch that may have been left on by the first tech” didn’t stop the fan, he told me he could replace the fan. So he replaced it but the fact it suddenly malfunctioned after the previous tech visit….well, seemed too coincidental.
We ultimately called another company to come check our HVAC system and they found nothing needing attention. By the way it’s been 8 months since the Del-Air tech wanted us to spend that $4,000.
Bottom line, I don’t trust them and will never call them again for any reason. -
If I could give this place no stars, I would. I originally purchased a new AC unit and maintenance contract from Simpson Air, which was later acquired by DelAir. For convenience, I renewed the maintenance plan with DelAir in January.
When I called in July to schedule my 6-month maintenance, I was told the first available appointment was over a month out. That appointment finally came up last week, but halfway through the scheduled service window, DelAir canceled (like others have said - citing too many emergency calls) and rescheduled me for today. Now, once again, we are past the appointment window with no contact, no technician, and no updates.
I’ve tried calling (endless hold) and texting (no response), but customer service has been unresponsive. It’s clear that DelAir prioritizes emergency calls and quick revenue over the long-term customers who prepaid for maintenance contracts.
At this point, I’ll have to absorb the remaining cost of the plan and move on to a more reliable company for the service and repair of my unit. Avoid. -
My HVAC system went out on me on Friday July 25, 2025. My inside unit was frozen. So I thawed it out. Called Del-Air and they were able to get me an appointment for the next day. Thank you for that. On Saturday I had two individual guys in separate vehicles come out. I explained to them what had happened. I asked them if they had shoe booties to cover their shoes before coming into my house and they did. We then went inside and they started looking at my inside unit and then proceeded to go look at my outside unit. It was then when they were looking at my outside unit and I was asking questions did the one technician stop me in the middle of asking questions and get up from the machine to tell me to give him a second to look over the machine to make the determination on what the issue would be. The one technician wasn't very happy on having to take his shoe booties on and off going in and out of my house. So after grabbing some equipment from their vehicles to look at my machines and determining that it was low on freon. They then used a leak detector and went to my inside unit couldn't find anything. We then proceeded to the outside unit the technician that was doing all the work took off the top of my outside unit which has the fan on it and started doing a leak detector on the one side and then repositioned the fan to the back side and started doing the leak detector on the other side. At that time neither one of them told me that they had found a leak of any sorts and the one guy that was holding the tablet walked back out front and went to his vehicle for a minute and then the other technician about a minute later also decided that he needed to go out to the front to get more equipment is what he told me. So I was waiting for them by my back French doors for about 10 minutes and didn't see them come back in so I went to my wife which was in our bedroom watching them on the cameras only to learn that she told me that both guys went to their individual vehicles and were there for 15 plus minutes. So as we were watching them on the cameras did I both see them get out of their vehicles talk to each other for a minute and then proceed to come back up to the house. So I met them at the foot of my garage and then that's when they said oh we found a leak on the condensing coil of your outside unit and it needs to be replaced. That is when the guy holding the tablet told me that it was going to cause $3,300 to replace the coil for the labor because my part was still under warranty. So then I asked the guy holding the tablet was there any way we could fix the leak and he said no they don't do that anymore. He also then told me that Goodman air conditioners were no good and to go with their brand Lennox. He told me a brand new Lennox system without your warranty was going to be almost $10,000 and with your warranty was going to be $14,000. I was very upset because they had not explained anything or showed me anything and how they found the leak on the outside unit. They didn't even put in the system a leak detector to sit there and find out where the leak would be coming from just come. I told them I didn't have that kind of money sitting around to sit there in either fix it or replace it and told them I would have to get back with them. I found out that both guys were being too secretive and not very professional on how they handled their visit with me on Saturday. I would not suggest any of your services to my neighbors or family to go with Del-Air in the future for any type of work that you offer. Thankfully I was able to find another company that was able to come out on Monday and was very professional and did a very good job and explaining everything and gave them the work to get my unit up and working. Come to find out there was no leak in any of the coils, inside unit and outside unit. So sounds like this company was just trying to rip me off.

BUYER BEWARE
I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. They are quick to get you locked in to a contract, just to over promise and under deliver. Before the unit was installed, the technician promised to bring a portable unit to hold us over through the weekend. That never happened. Had a 10k unit installed just for it to not work. They said they would come back to fix it, but didn’t show up on time and never communicated a new time window. Had to call back multiple times just to be told someone would be there within the hour, that was a lie. Technician finally shows up 5hrs after they said they would arrive. Turns out the initial job wasn’t even actually finished and was done completely wrong, despite them telling us everything was finished when they installed it. He said they would come back again the following day to fix everything. Then I get a text the day they were supposed to come saying that they aren’t coming until the following day. Unfortunately, if they don’t hold up their end of the bargain, we will be talking to an attorney for breech of contract
Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. They aren’t worth the headache -
Del-Air confirmed an appointment yesterday between 2-4 pm. They no showed. I called several times only to deal with an AI bot. A person has yet to call or show up. When you need a company you can trust to show up when things go wrong, DO NOT choose Del-Air.

I called on Sunday and someone showed up in 2 hrs. My outside unit would not kick on, the tech, Dave, assured me that by the time he left he'd have it up and running. 2 hrs later, he left and my unit was not working still. An estimate of $1,500 to replace a controller board and a surge protector, or replace the whole system for $12K. On Monday, I looked at unit and found a bulged up cap, I went to a local HVAC supply and got a replacement fan motor, a new cap to go with it, along with a surge protector for less than $200. I also ordered the OEM controller bd online for $87. By Wednesday, the whole thing was fixed by myself for less than $300.

I was experiencing no cool air in the house. I was very fortunate when the company sent Axavier. He was so friendly and told me that I would have cold air before he left my house. He was meticulous, checking everything twice. And when I went to bed, the house was at 70 degrees. He was fantastic and hopefully he will be my A/C man for the future. Very happy with the company.

I highly reccommend Del-Air! When my AC unit couldn't keep my house cool on a Thursday afternoon, I called around 3 pm and their service tech was at my house before 6:00 pm that evening! Steve was very knowledgable and helpful when explaining the problems to me. He informed me about all of the options for financing and helped me secure the best deal for my budget. I had a brand new system installed by Del-Air and was cool and comfortable by Saturday evening. The service techs were respectful of my space and my time, and the reps on the phone were helpful and communicated with me so that I knew when to expect the techs to arrive and when they should be finished. I can't thank them enough for coming to my rescue in the heat of late August in central Florida. Call Del-Air, you won't be disappointed.

On 8/17/2025 I had Del-Air come to install a replacement A/C unit for my older failing one. Ray Chalk came to do the installation. His work was absolutely outstanding! His knowledge of the work to be done was phenomenal and he worked tirelessly to get our A/C up and running so we could cool off in the hot Florida summer heat. Very respectful gentleman, who deserves the highest praise for his work ethic. He seemed to really enjoy his work, and took pride in what he did. Everyone else I had contact with at Del Air was also very polite and wanted to help. I called late on 8/15, Shirley came out early on 8/16, and by 8/17 (A Sunday!!) we had a brand new working A/C unit. Shirley helped us to decide on what unit we wanted, helped us though the process which was very easy and now we're nice and cool! Another very knowledgeable and respectful representative of Del-Air. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to repair or replace their old A/C units.
