Teshawn did an excellent job. He was knowledgeable. He found mold in the unit . The UV light was not working. He informed me of the situation and the cost to replace it . $400 I was hesitant due to the amount of the light. He sent a video showing the conditions inside. I immediately said “replace it “. He sent a photo after completing the job.

A human answered the phone. I was scheduled very quickly. A reasonable price was agreed to. The technician is top notch. Check boxes for all the action words in customer service. I will call back for future needs. They have earned a recommendation.

In October of 2021 we paid over $9,000 for a new system, and from the beginning it has been one issue after another. The unit installed was not the correct size for our home, and additional duct work had to be done afterward to make it fit. The system continued to struggle holding temperature, so we placed another service call. At that time, we were told no issue could be found.

Later, while working in the garage, I felt cold air and discovered it was coming from the AC handler. It had not been properly sealed, causing conditioned air to blow directly into the garage. Another technician was sent out and mentioned that this is not typically the type of work he handles, but he would attempt a fix and, if it didn’t hold, the installer would need to return to redo the job.

The repair held temporarily, but the system is now leaking again—and worse, it is covered in black mold. It is also dripping with condensation causing damage to the base that is holding it up. We live in Spring Hill, and the company is now claiming they no longer service our area, so they will not honor their work. However, their own website clearly lists Spring Hill, Pasco, Citrus, and several surrounding areas as part of their service ot also os nearly impossoble to speak with a supervisor to take or return our calls.

Overall, the lack of proper installation, ongoing issues, and refusal to stand behind their work has been extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. See pictures of work they no longer want to honor. Do a quick search as to why this happens and you will find improper installation to be the cause….

I had a fantastic experience, and in the dead heat of summer no less. They came out same day we called. I got an honest suggestion on which unit would work our situation. Our guy was not pushy to sell and I appreciated that. He fixed us up to get through the weekend until we could get new unit installed. The installers came early on a Monday which was a surprise and greatly appreciated.

We were very impressed with the ductwork installation team - they did a great job and everything was done to our satisfaction. We highly recommend Sun Air Services in Tampa to anyone in need of AC repair or replacement services. Thanks again for everything!

Sun Air demonstrated exceptional responsiveness and compassion in addressing our urgent air conditioning issue. Despite the sudden malfunction of our AC, a skilled technician promptly arrived on the same day to assess the situation. While here the technician found that our supply line had become separated from the air handler which he promptly repaired, a difficult feat because the air handler is in the attic and well over 100 degrees.

I've had Sun Air out more than once for both service and an issue that arose. They have been extremely professional and gone above and beyond. They have always taken care of the issue at hand and I've never felt like they were trying to up sell me. The tech has always taken the time to explain any issues and/or what he has done while here. They have also always gotten out quickly and arrived when they said they would. If you need your AC serviced or repaired in the Tampa area, I highly recommend Sun Air.

I rated it in 1 star, if possible it would it would have been 0. I made an appointment with this company to complete a routine maintenance. My ac unit from all appearances was working well, cooling to the temp I set it at, no unusual noises, not constantly running. The tech from the time he entered my home was trying to find something wrong. He did not check the thermostat, did not check anything inside my home, didn't have tools with him. He went outside to where my unit is, was there less than 15 minutes, came back in and stated I needed an intensive labor repair that would cost almost $1800. My unit is only 5 years old and has had maintenance twice per year. When I asked him to explain the problem, hisvexplanation was vague, that some particles had somehow gotten into a sealed portion of the unit and would cause the compressor to be ruined if I did not get the repair done soon. I asked for a more detailed explanation in writing, which he would not do. I paid him the $110 for the maitenance and he left without providing a receipt. I had another company come for a 2nd opinion. The tech was here for almost 2 hours. He inspected my thermostat, and my air intake. He invited me to join him outside, and explained everything he was doing as he was doing it. He checked all of the electric components if the unit, explained what the specs were, showed the manufacturers specs to me on the panel of the unit, showed what the current readings were, took out the fan and the motor to check for grease leaks, loose bolts, cleaned the blades, cleaned leaves and dust from the unit housing, and cleaned the coils. It was very obvious that the Sun Air tech had done nothing , and still charged for a maintenance visit. The only thing the 2nd tech found was that the compressor was drawing more than the recommended amps as it came on, and recommended the correction for that , but did not push, and quoted a price for parts and labor under $400, nowhere near what the Sun Air tech quoted. I feel the Sun Air tech didn't complete routine maintenance tasks, and pushed an unneeded repair making that repair sound urgent. He also failed to provide a receipt for my payment for maintenance tasks he did not do.

We recently had Sun Air come out and replace our unit. Not only did they have the best price, but the service was incredible as well. It was a very smooth process and Randy the owner came to the house when his team was almost done to check on things and introduce himself. His wife Darlene is in the office and is one of the most personable people I've ever dealt with on the phone. I am looking forward to continuing our relationship with this great team for our annual service. Definitely consider this local family owned business for any of your AC needs, you won't regret it.

My unit went out on a Friday night. I called Saturday morning and luckily Cameron was able to arrive within an hour. He was knowledgeable and respectful. He troubleshot the issue quickly and was able to temporarily resolve the issue until he could get parts Monday. I signed off so he could access the back yard so I wouldn’t have to miss any work which was a huge plus. He sent me pictures of my old part verse the new, got everything installed and communicated with me the entire time. I came home from work Monday and good as new. He picked up everything, there was no mess, no trace he was there. He did an excellent job and I didn’t have to miss any work during the process. Excellent, knowledgeable service. I’ve had Sun Air replace and install two units at my home and I will always be a returning customer.

Sun Air serviced our a/c last year and was fantastic, so when our a/c finally quit for good we gave them a call again. They are always reliable and friendly, and are so helpful with any questions we had about the work they were doing. Our new unit arrived early and they came out on a Saturday morning and had it all installed and ready to go that same afternoon. We would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs a/c work done

I am very pleased with Sun Air Services. They did an excellent job on my ductwork installation and replacement. The team was professional, courteous, and very skilled. I will definitely hire them again for future needs. Highly recommend in Tampa area!
