Stay away from this company!!! Do not stand by warranties. Paid over $10,000 for furnace and only 10 months old have to pay $800 due to bad installation which caused coolant to leak out, but company would not cover. Bad business, takes advantage of elderly.

PATRICK’s service was particularly impressive!!! He was right on time, very professional and friendly. He had his mask on the whole time and did an amazing maintenance job on all the different components of our AC. He patiently answered all my questions in a respectful manner and appeared very knowledgeable and confident in his field. Everyone needs a company they can trust. I plan to continue with COX as my AC service company for as long as I am in the area. Hope to have Patrick back for our next 6 months maintenance.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! You’ve been warned!!
Choice Home Warranty had this company come out to fix our AC. Cox services stated that we needed a part, and that our responsibility would be $503.00. After a little hesitation, we agreed and they ordered the part that day. We were told that it would take about 24 hours to come in. We called 24 hours later, on a Friday, and the part was not in. We understood as they explained it could take much longer. It was extremely hot. It’s end of July in Florida. Our house was unbearable. We called almost daily just to get an update. Finally, they tell us the part is in. But they have to figure out when they can have someone come out. Again, we
Understood. The next day we called again since we did not hear back. Again they said they are trying to figure out the schedule. The next day we called again, around 1-2 pm to get an answer. The person said she has been reaching out to the manager of the company to see when they can come out… Also that two people weren’t working this week. She said she would call us by the end of the day. She finally called around 4pm. She said that the price has gone up for the part/service. And that is was going to cost us $1400.00!!! That’s almost triple the price! They even had the price at $503.00 with the home warrently company. How incredibly unprofessional. Horrible customer service! They are untrustworthy! We spoke to them all week and they never bothered to tell us that. So, now, we have to start the process all over again with a different company. Meanwhile, we still have no AC. We have a disabled person here along with a small child. Needless to say, we are extremely hurt, angry and hot with not nice things to say to anyone at that company!!!
Do NOT waste your time with this company. -
I used this company for an ac tune up. The technician, Brian, was professional and courteous, and the company was easy to work with. I was able to get an appointment quickly and received a phone call the day before my appointment to confirm a time, as well as another call when the technician was on his way. Highly recommend them!!

Please do not use this company. We had to use Cox as part of our Home Warranty. They came out and said that our unit just needed to be reset. They informed us that we had black mold in our ac. They told us it would be $4000 to get the mold out of the ac unit. I purchased a kit from a company that included bombs, for $500. We could not use the product, because in the span of a week the unit had to be reset 3 times and then would not come back on. Called the home warranty again and they sent Cox back out. They then said it was the blower motor and board. They informed the home warranty that we had black mold and that the unit was down and it wasn't normal wear and tear, so they wouldn't cover it and told us it would be $1550 to replace the motor.
As it turns out we DO NOT have black mold and we had the unit repaired for $300! Our board was not bad, and you don't even need it until you use the heat!! I am out the $500 for mold products, but it's not $5500!! These people are a scam, read other reviews and go to the Better Business Bureau and read complaints, all the same they tell people they have black mold!! THEY ARE A SCAM!! -
Professional and thorough. Pleasant staff on the phone and on the job.

Excellent service. Brian was very nice and professional.

They do whatever it takes to make sure you get the best service possible. Angelica is awesome! Daryl and Brian are the best technicians. They don't stop until your equipment is performing correctly. I will definitely use them for all of my Heating and A/C needs! Thanks again!

Angelica was extremely friendly and very responsive when calling into the office. I had to change my schedule on two different occasions. Both times I did call after hours and she returned my call within 20 minutes.
Brian was my service technician. He was extremely professional, prompt and wore all of his PPE upon entering my home. Bryan did a very thorough check on my AC unit and even provided me with an estimated date that I should hear back from them.
I highly recommend cost building services for any of your future needs. -
He was efficient and did everything that was expected for our maintenance agreement

I submitted a claim with Choice Home Warranty, which is how Cox was selected. I didn't know what to expect since I didn't have experience with them but I am very satisfied.
The service tech, Brian, was professional and knowledgeable. He clearly has years of experience and it shows. The process was thorough as he checked the filters, tested the system pressure, and inspected the ductwork. He was able to identify and resolve the issue in a timely manner in one visit. I would definitely recommend this company and this tech. -
Always on time, they take their time to make sure everything is in its right place. Great work

I recently encountered a problem with Cox Building Services. They installed two AC units in my house in 2022 for $15k. On a recent maintenance check, a leak was detected that was not covered by maintenance.
Due to their frequent turnovers in staffing, I contacted another company to check it out. When Vinnie from Happy Air came out, he said he didn't want to charge me for a repair that was due to an installation error and suggested I contact the installer to resolve the bad weld causing the leak. I took his advice and received no help from Cox whatsoever. They insisted they did the work and it passed inspection. For the record, inspector's don't test for leaks. Yet, they'd be willing to fix it for a fee. Wouldn't that be foolish for me to do since it was a problem caused by them in the first place?
Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed with Cox Building Services. They had no problem taking my $15,000, yet won't stand by their work. -
After the recall of service for maintenance all my air conditioning the service guy was more than pleasant and knowledgeable. He checked the whole system over and did What Supposed to be done. So far. I am very happy with a service time will tell.

My recommendation is to always get a second opinion before dealing with this company. They initially installed two AC units at my residence in 2022. Just this week one of the units stopped working. I called them for a diagnosis. Jason the Service technician charged me $54.95 for service call and $150 for a leak test. He determined that the leak was in the service line valve and the cost of repair would be $1750.00 in addition. This includes, what informed me, that my unit needed 8 pounds of Freon to refill at $150 per pound. Upon getting a second opinion, I found out they were charging in excess of 50% more per pound of free Freon from the competition. Also, my unit is only needs 3 pound of Freon and not 8lbs that he wanted to charge. Not to mention, they failed to install a clean out valve in the initial install. In the end this same repair was completed for $900.00 total, with a different company and my AC unit is working perfectly. This company has proven to be unprofessional, Untrustworthy, and have Poor workmanship. I would discourage anyone doing business with them.

I was with my Aunt when her AC stopped cooling. She called Choice Home Warranty and they sent us Cox Building Services, Inc. Their diagnosis was a bad expansion valve. They emailed Choice and they refused to pay for the part, saying it was not "normal wear and tear" and my Aunt would have to pay, out of her own pocket, over $1,000 to have it fixed? What kind of Home Warranty is this?? I was very concerned, called a trusted AC service for a 2nd opinion, and found out that the Only thing wrong with the AC was a slow leak that was causing the system to lose Freon. He repaired the leak, added freon, checked all the gages and temperature differentials, and the system is cooling perfectly!!! His bill was $485.00. Cox Building Services gets 1 star (should be 0) for lying to a 85 year old woman and collaborating with a Home Warranty company that apparently will lie to get out of honoring their Agreement. Not to mention, my Aunt was on the verge of purchasing a new AC system from them!

I’m leaving a review regarding the payment process that was explained to me one way and not what the finance company is charging me. I had CHC send a mechanic from Cox Building to come out and fix my unit. Since it was very old, it had to be replaced. I was debating whether to pay it off after installation. The mechanic said that I could pay using their financing company and that I could pay it off after my first payment was due to give me time to get the funds. I received an email from FTL, the financing company they use and much to my surprise after 12 days I have accrued $132.47. The interest accrues from day 1, not day 31 like most companies work. If this had been explained to me initially I would have paid off balance right away. I called Cox and they said it was the plan I chose. I didn’t choose anything since I wasn’t given an option to pick any plan. I believe there was only one plan. This is deceptive and if you think you have a grace period you don’t and they won’t tell you. The interest rate is very high so you could end up paying much more than the price they quoted.Just warning my fellow citizens of these companies.

Charles provided excellent service including great explanations of what is required to help extend the life of the AC system.

Completely unacceptable customer service. They set an appointment and day of said the driver and technician was unable to show up. They rescheduled for the following week and the office manager Joseph said the driver Jeremiah, was leaving my house after calling me at 11 when they said at 10 they were going to be at my house. They left after 5 minutes and did not come back after I called them at 11:12 saying I as done with my 11am meeting. I called them back at 11:32 and they said they weren't coming back. I asked them why they didn't tell me that until I called them and they didn't have a good answer. After letting them know I expected them to make it right and send someone Jeremiah said he was not able to get the driver to turn around. I expect them to find more reliable service drivers. After letting them know this they put me on hold then hung up on me. Disaster service. Expect a free ac service $98 or I would not bother dealing with them again.

Brian, was a total gentleman and definitely cared about me and the predicament I was in without having heat available. He was patient and even helped me with another concern.

Very Professional setting up and confirming appointments with me for my elderly Mother. Michele has been very kind and considerate.
