I had Choice Warranty and Jeremiah was assigned our technician from Cox. I really appreciated the evaluation he provided. He did a great job at explaining the problem with our unit. He took many photos and a video for the Warranty provider. I also liked him as a person. The owner even called and explained some things to me. I was impressed with this company. Choice Home Warranty turned down our repairs but I liked Cox. Not so much Choice!

Jeremiah who serviced our AC unit was very professional, answered all our questions and gave us some helpful advise.

Disappointed that my coil is defective for my air conditioning on an airhandler that's only 20 months old! I figured Rheem was built better! The part is covered, but not the labor and refrigerant.

Charles was the most polite and helpful technician! He arrived on time, was quick but thorough with taking care of my regular maintenance service. I definitely recommend Cox and specifically Charles if you're looking for quality and courteousness!

This was a huge scam. Got a call about a free inspection… You know how that goes it’s never free Guy came in so I needed a UV light and a new ventilation system was gonna be $12,000 but if I paid right then I could’ve gotten it for 10 also left all of my pieces off of my AC covering and a bunch of stuff fell and broke. Trying to put it back up so awesome work! Watch out for this company. They will try to scam you on a free service call

What a scam!!!! Bought my house in Oct 2025, new AC/Heat Pump unit was installed by J Cox Jan 2025. We had no A/C by Jan 2026! We called J Cox as they were who installed it. A gentleman came out and first quoted us $3000 for just 13lbs of coolant alone and another $2000 for service. We were then told we needed to buy a NEW unit as the coolant we needed would become obsolete! I said no, and decided to research myself. The coolant required normally sold for $80-$100 per pound. They were charging me $225 a pound! And, the new coolant is already being recalled and the coolant I needed wasn’t going anywhere. Called a different HVAC company who came out, I needed 8 pounds of coolant, and I had a leak at one of the junctions. Souther Comfort Heating and Cooling filled the coolant and fixed the leak for $855.00! A difference of $4,145.00! I don’t know how they put their heads on the pillow at night knowing how they are robbing people! I will let everyone I talk to, know about these thieves!

The service provided by the technician was very good and thorough but.... 11/20/25. The company does not provide paperwork anymore of the field service report describing the values that were found on my a/c unit nor a receipt for next years Tune Up. I don't know if this will continue to be a standard feature of the company.

Cox Building Services installed two new a/c systems in my home from 1/30/25 to 2/3/25. They installed two new thermostats, also. One of my systems started to fail on February 2nd, 2026. I called Cox for repairs on Feb 4th or 5th. They sent a repair guy out on Saturday, Feb 7th. He determined one of the thermostats was bad. He called his boss. I talked with him and he told me they would be at my house on Monday, Feb 9th to replace the thermostat. I reminded him that they installed it a year ago. He indicated he was aware of that and they will take care of it. On Tuesday morning, Feb 10th, I received a phone call from Michele to schedule the replacement of the thermostat. She indicated it will cost me $520. I told her there must be a mistake. She said my warranty had run out due to it was more than a year. Really!!! 4 days past the year. Honeywell thermostats last 20 years. Told her this is very disappointing and surprising. My contract says 10 years on ALL parts warranty.
