after getting two other quotes from well-known hvac providers, i did a lot of comparing before moving forward. each of those other quotes included two 5-ton, 15 seer a/c units, air scrubbers, and an 80k btu heat pump with air handler. one company suggested using york equipment, while the other recommended american standard. price-wise, the york system was about $1,200 less, and the american standard option was about $1,300 more than the final price i got here. however, the hvac team here went above and beyond. they installed two american standard 5-ton, 16 seer a/c units, a 100k btu heat pump/air handler, and two premium air scrubbers—all top quality. jace took extra steps to get everything ready, even making an early morning drive to pick up the coils so the install could stay on schedule. the installation started early on a sunday and was finished by that evening. this included removing two old 5-ton units from the '90s, plus an outdated heat pump/air handler from the attic. jace and the crew were very professional, efficient, and paid close attention to details. they spent extra time making sure all the ductwork and vents were set up properly, and even found and fixed a couple of vents that weren’t working because of kinks in the duct lines. another thing i really appreciated was that there was no pressure to buy extra equipment or unnecessary services. for years, jace had been keeping my old system running, always reliable and positive, and working hard to help me get through those hot california summers. i highly recommend their hvac services!
