2023 Update - Have been a happy customer for several years - still 5 stars! Mike recently replaced my old boiler/burner/indirect water heater (and ancient thermostats) with an efficient Buderus system and a modern heat pump water heater. Everything went very smoothly and I appreciate his attention to detail and explaining everything to me.

Recently needed a heating system repair and Mike was responsive to my call for an appointment, showed up on time, explained the issue, and took care of it quickly. He was also able to do the annual furnace maintenance/cleaning during at that time as it was due. Everything is running well now. I'm very happy with the work he did, the costs, and his professionalism.

Got a new heat pump hot water heater and oil furnace, at separate times over the summer. Mike was very professional with competitive pricing, did what he said he would, was on time, stayed in touch, and arranged another contractor for additional service when it was needed. Can't say enough good about him, especially in an era where nobody seems to return phone calls to arrange estimates or to schedule service. A true gem. Will recommend him to friends and family. 5 stars.

Central Maine Heating offered one of the lowest prices - and easily the most comprehensive (4-zone) - for a complete HWBB replacement system. In addition to all the contract-specified installation services, they also did several minor additional services without asking for additional payments (like repairing a few plumbing leaks (and offering advice n other plumbing issues), sealing off an unused chimney hole with a new plug, cutting out old propane heater direct-vent exhaust pipes, sealing holes and potential "cold spots" with urethane foam, etc.) They worked neatly, completed the project in a mutually agreed upon time-frame (working very cooperatively with me while I was completing flooring renovations before their installation of baseboard heating units), and, upon completion, Mike stayed an extra hour to thoroughly go over operation of the new whole-house system. These are thoughtful, accommodating contractors who go the extra mile to provide considerate, quality heating system services at a very reasonable price (I got 5 different bids and all the other companies' quotes were either noticeably higher or offered less desirable and less comprehensive whole-house heating system options). I recommend this company very highly!

Mike has been servicing my furnace for years now. He is friendly, professional and provides thorough information when he is finished. I'm glad I have him.

Install was great. Once installed they ignored me. Made several attempts to get service to correct issues and no response.

Cancelled first appointment half hour AFTER he was supposed to arrive. Never showed up or called for second scheduled appointment. No way to run a business.

This company has serviced our heating system for many years and last fall as well. We have a leaky valve in the hot water baseboard heating, so called them and scheduled an appointment. They didn't show up so an hour after the appointment called and left a message, no return call, called again close to closing time to reschedule, left a message, no return call. This was a Friday so called 2 more times on Monday to reschedule, left messages no return calls. Called again on Tuesday got voice mail. Moving on to another heating and plumbing company. It is unfortunate that we have to move on, but they have become 100% nonresponsive, unprofessional in not notifying us of not making the appointment and not returning our calls.

If you need something done do not call this company!!!!

Richard responded quickly and repaired a leak in our water main on short notice. He is a great friend and neighbor.

Don was great! He was able to come out on super short notice to get our heating set up and ready to go for the harsh Maine winter. He was very professional, and we will definitely call him again if any future problems arise.

Don does high quality work for affordable prices. He is as by far the best price in the area for getting my home switched over to a hybrid electric hot water heater. I will definitely use him again for future work

After our furnace broke right before the holidays, we had a hard time finding a company to come and help us figure out what to do. Once we called Don, he came over for an estimate within a few days, gave us the best advice we had received from any other company, and installed a new boiler a week later. He was so professional and his pricing was very reasonable! Would definitely recommend!

I stumbled across Don when in need of a plumber and we ended up hiring him to install our first heat pump. He was able to do the install much sooner than the other companies we got quotes from. He was fast, kind, professional, and did quality work. I highly recommend this one man, one truck operation!

Don is very responsive. He recently installed a boiler for me on an emergency basis. He was able to get my boiler installed in no time. His pricing is more than fair for the quality work he provides. As a home inspector, I will be recommending Don to all my clients.
