Plumbing reviews in Boise, Idaho

Had the best experience with their skilled, experienced and focused employees. Great sense of humor is always a plus! Thank you for your help!!!

Great company, very courteous and helpful. I thought they only worked on commercial units, but they were very skilled and professional in my home. Thank you!

I watched some of their crew members back into my neighbors fence and figured that they would get it taken care of so I hadn't said anything but it's been over 2 weeks now and obviouslly the employees didn't feel the need to inform any one of their little accident. Not impressed.

We have a property management company and recently started using DeBest for our plumbing service needs. They have exceeded our expectations for service with fair pricing and fast response time.
Thanks Jerry and DeBest! -
Sloppy work, poor response to the problems. Refused to itemize the bill. Not DeWorst, but certainly not DeBest. I'm sure you can find a plumber who will do the work as agreed, do quality work, and respond appropriately to problems. This one isn't it.

Jerry Orr did a fantastic job and his follow up was thorough and complete. As a manager that doesn't have a lot of time to follow up with scheduled appointments, it is great to know that the art of follow up isn't dead.

Great company from the first call, to the installers, to the end product. Fair prices. Very professional and knowledgeable employees. I seared their name in my brain so I would not forget them. I might not call on them often, but I know where I will go each time. No one else!
Trustworthy company. -
Terrible experience. Had to schedule 3 times to get a quote. When the guy finally showed up, all he did was talk about how my equipment sucks. Quoted for over $1000, I got it done myself in 15 minutes for under $50 in parts from the hardware store. I would suggest calling someone else. Wasted way too many hours on these idiots.

DeBest was the plumbing subcontractor who worked on our home when it was built in 2006. We have had 5 substantial leaks. The first was in 2007 and was a elbow fitting. We figured that there might just be a lack of luck and a bad fitting and a friend fixed it. The second was shortly after a minor remodel so we figured that maybe the remodel had "done something" The third was the fitting for a toilet intake that had to be replaced in about 2009. The fourth was a leak near a solder joint by the hot water heater and a friend who is a plumber said thats just a bad job. Today yet another soldered joint was found to have failed. this one was just below the flooring so it leaked for a number of days and now we have a nice mess of mold and rotten wood. SO we have a restoration contractor outhere sucking out water and killing mold
Nothing last forever. But it is not unreasonable to expect brand new plumbing to not have 5 substantial leaks in the first seven years of the home.
I strongly recommend that you not use DeBest for new construction -
I used DeBest to fix a hole in a 3" vertical drain pipe in my laundry room / hallway wall. The pipe is a drain for the upstairs bath and comes down vertically in the wall. The plumber arrived and cut the pipe twice and installed 2 sleeves. The problem is that the sleeves had 1/4" walls. When I pointed out that the new sheetrock that would be covering the pipe would now not fit flush against the studs because the sleeves stuck out past the studs, his response was just notch the sheetrock and left. Really, Im just going to have two holes in my sheetrock where the pipe sleeves stick out?! Wow that would like nice right! Oh, did I mention when he cut the pipe, he cut thru the sheetrock on the other side of the wall in the hallway. I ended up going to Home Depot and buying new 3 inch pipe sleeves that had 1/8 inch walls and redoing it myself. Sheetrock now lays flat against the wall. Wont use this company ever again.

The team was so incredible! Knowledgeable. Helpful. Friendly. Professional. Prompt. The work was clean and spot on. I’ve had to reach out to many different companies and people to get work completed on my house. DeBest was the most reliable and professional out of any service we hired. Thank you! I would recommend to anyone and will definitely use them in the future.

there's a lot of plumbing services in the valley and to find a good one is a challenge, but, no longer for myself. DeBest truly is the best. I would recommend them to anyone - they go out of there way to take on and finish a task. In this case it was replacing a backflow vale which included putting it above ground because of current code. they had to do digging in addition to plumbing and they were super high quality and prompt. They are the best.

I've used them twice. Once for a frozen pipe, and another for a clogged drain. Both went smoothly and quickly. Guys were professional and honest. Can't remember what fixing the frozen pipe cost but snaking the drain was just $105. Good stuff. Will definitely use again.

I have used DeBest for a number of projects around the house that included installing a tank-less hot water heater, and installing a gas line for a new gas stove. Each time they have been responsive about scheduling and their service techs are excellent. Always friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend them for any plumbing/gas needs.

I am a real estate agent who has been personally using DeBest and referring all sorts of jobs to them for more than 12 years. I chose DeBest when I was a new real estate agent looking for a go-to plumber because they have been supporters of our local children's hospital and I admired their community giving. I've continued to refer business to them because of their skill and professionalism.
Through the years I have appreciated that this is a plumbing company that can have someone out quickly for urgent problems (like the time we clogged our garbage disposal with potato peels on Thanksgiving) or for a checklist of assorted needs (like I need after home inspections and such). They have done work for clients on larger projects and whatever is happening they are professional, friendly, skilled and not out to "upsell" a job or tell someone they need something they don't. Their plumbers are honest and helpful and I always appreciate them.
The staff at DeBest behind the scenes is awesome. Their billing and scheduling is easy and I always appreciate that when I have a question about something out of the ordinary they are willing to talk it through and problem-solve.
I recommend DeBest to everyone without hesitation. They are a great outfit! -
I always conduct a lot of research before selecting a service company of any kind whether it is landscaping, plumbing, roofing, or gutters. In this case, I needed a new water heater and water softener installed. I looked at the following factors before making my choice: the integrity of the company, friendliness and helpful attitude of the people doing the work, existing reviews, and their free estimate on the price. I conducted research on each of these factors across seven different plumbing companies, and DeBest Plumbing was the overall best by far.
First, I like the fact that the owner donates to non-profit organizations, and their recent customer reviews were excellent. These things spoke to me in terms of integrity. Second, during the appointment to give me an estimate, Bob was very patient and well informed. He provided me with useful information about water heaters and softeners. This helped me make the right choice of equipment and informed me about how to care for them. While he showed me the options on their water heater and softener products, he was open to allow me to buy the new heater and softener myself, and he was still happy to do the installation for me. He provided me with an estimated price that included hauling away the old equipment, all the flex tubes, pipes, and expansion tank, and he arranged for the inspection.
Bob installed the new equipment and loaded all the old equipment in his vehicle and hauled it away. Everything was completed in a very professional and friendly way. His price and time estimates were spot on. Further, their price was very competitive. There office scheduler Sarah is also excellent and helpful. I am five star happy with DeBest Plumbing. They will be my go-to plumber for all future needs, and I recommend them to my friends and neighbors. -
Our property management went through DeBest Plumbing to help with a drain issue under our washer. Luis was the plumber who came out. He was super sweet and easy to talk to. When we insisted we thought it was a problem with the drain under the washer and not our washer, Luis called his supervisor and got permission to look. There was a clog and he was able to snake it clean. He even helped clean up the mess and move the washer afterwards. Luis was super understanding and a huge help! Would recommend to anyone.

We had a bathroom redone two years ago. The plumber did a horrid job and an older plumber from debest cleaned up after him. That's why not just one star. Dirst DeBest guy didn't use silicone tape on the pipes to the toilet. Just screwed them together no fastener tape, no sealant. Pipe sprung a leak wetting carpeting, ruining flooring, etc. due to a crap job under the house where no one could see if they did a thing. Never again will I use any contractor who uses DeBest. This was Integrated Construction.

A valve past the meter blew. I am very satisfied with their expert service. They had to use a pressure type truck to remove 4 ft of dirt. No mess at all. A big shout out to Jim who repaired pipe with professional service. Debest Plumbing is a quality company.

These jokers were responsible for the plumbing in brand new home in Caldwell. Major water leak due to substandard craftsmanship. Customers beware!!!!

I have not had a great experience with Debest Plumbing and I’m very frustrated with their service. I’m even more frustrated to have an unexpected bill mailed to me for a crap job that didn’t even fix the problem.
I called this company to set up my water and sewer lines + inspection after moving a mobile home. The front desk ladies were great and friendly, and when they didn’t have an answer to my questions, they figured it out and got back to me. We scheduled a consult for a Thursday. Thursday came and went, and I heard nothing, no calls, no emails. I assumed they had dropped the ball. They called the next day (Friday) to offer their quote. I chose to go with them as they were the cheapest I could find in the area. I guess cheaper doesn’t always = better.
On the day of hook up, the technicians parked their utility van IN MY FRONT YARD. My drive way did have construction materials in it, but there was an entire stretch of road out front that they could’ve parked on. Instead, they chose to pull into my front yard, into my grass (albeit dying, but I found it highly unprofessional). Where they chose to park was not even near the job site, so it doesn’t make sense at all that they would park where they did.
The technicians did a well enough job hooking everything up, and even addressed a leak with my water heater and was able to fix it so I would pass my inspection. However, they missed a leak under what appeared to be my hose hook up line. I discovered the leak after they had left. I called and asked them to come back and assess it. The technician that was at my house, said it sounded like a hose bib leak, but was in a hurry to be off work (he himself admitted that while at my home, due to a concert, with reluctance when I had asked about potential leaks and if he could fix them). A different technician was sent out to fix this problem, however, I wasn’t informed, and I had to call around to ask if it was ever addressed.
The front desk lady said that someone had been out, and switched the part (hose bib). I was surprised because no one had told me what was going on. When I asked if payment was owed, she said “he didn’t mention anything so I think you’re good!” Great! Except, not great, because I got a bill in the mail for $212.
The technician that fixed my hose bib did not even properly address and verify the problem, because it STILL leaked, over the weekend. I walked into my home to find 2” of water under my sink (directly above the hose line). My sink pipes were the cause of the leak. Because it happened over a weekend, I had to go to Home Depot and fix the problems myself. Leak solved, it wasn’t the hose at all. The technician also did a very poor job of installing the hose bib, and did not take the time to make it look nice or proper AT ALL. Again, something I and my dad had to fix. I do not feel the $212 bill is justified at all given the circumstances, lack of communication, and especially after I was told I wouldn’t owe anything. At the very least, I would be happy to pay for the part itself, but the labor was half assed and does not warrant payment if not done properly. I have included pictures of the poor install of the hose bib, and after (it looks nice now because my dad took the time to fasten it properly).
Overall, I’m glad my water and sewer is hooked up, but I would not recommend this company based on my experience. I’m not happy at all.
