John did a fantastic job on my rock column repair. Everything we discussed turned out exactly as promised. He worked clean and the attention to detail was far above my expectations. The work John did on my home was outstanding.

I used to work for Handyman Connection so I was critical about the work to be performed. The technician that did the work was experienced and did a craftsman like job. I was very satisfied with the work done and the parts used. The price was way more than competitive, it was more than 2 1/2 times less than another plumbing company quoted. Would recommend Handyman Connection for any project.

Rich came out to repair my deck that was collapsing. He came out in a timely manner and did a good job repairing my deck and making it safe. I am giving a rating of 4 stars because of the lack of communication. When Rich came out on the day that work was supposed to start, the supplies were not at my house, so that delayed the work by a day. Rich did call the office that day to find out why the supplies weren't delivered. He was ready to start the job but couldn't because the supplies were not there.

Handyman Connection Boise was recommended to me by Ace Hardware on Vista in Boise.
I would recommend this company without any reservation. The bid was fair and the work was completed on schedule. Ronald W. was the painter and he was excellent. He was polite and showed great respect for our home.

I used Handyman Connection for some drywall , soffit and range hood work at my house. In general the quality of their work was pretty good, though I did have to intercede to ensure that my range hood was installed along with the manufacturer's recommendation. The owner, Michael, is a nice guy and he comes out and bids the work. This is where things get a little sideways as they bid more work than they can handle. The handyman they sent out to my house, Paul, did really good drywall work, but because he was called to other jobs before mine was finished, what should have been a one week process became several. Ultimately, I accepted a discount to finish some of the punch list items myself just to reclaim my kitchen. Michael and Paul are honest guys, never asked for payment until the work was effectively completed and were polite to me and my family. I have dealt with a lot of tradesmen and labor these days and if I were grading on a curve, I'd give Handyman Connection four stars. But, they really need to iron out their workflow. All that said, I would hire them again, but I would get time commitments up front.

We are posting this review to advise other potential customers about our negative experience Handyman Connections. We contracted with them to install a new bathroom vanity, new toilet, and new vinyl plank flooring. One day during their work, one of Handyman's workers, Ronald, told us that it was okay to turn the water back on in our house when, in fact, a water line had been left uncapped, flooding the ceiling between our first and second floors. We would not have turned the water on had there been any doubt expressed to us about whether it was okay to do so. After explaining to Chris what happened, he assured us that he would make it right and would submit the claim to his insurance. His insurance denied the claim, finding that we were 50% at fault based both on our recounting of what occurred and information that his workers gave to the insurance company. The insurance company summarized to us that Ronald had told them he didn't know anything about plumbing, and the individual who did know about plumbing had not been on site when we asked Ronald if it was okay to turn the water on. If any of that had been made clear to us, we would not have asked Ronald if we could turn the water on, and we would not have relied on his statement that it was okay to do so. After Handyman's insurance denied the claim, we reached out to Chris to see how he would like to handle going forward with the remaining water damage repair costs. In an email, Chris clarified that when he said he would "make it right" what he meant was that he would do what was fair, which he felt was submitting the claim to insurance. In an email, he informed us that "you know you are to blame" and that he had been willing to fix the "mess that you created" for free, but when we asked to have a professional water damage company do the work because the water had soaked through insulation, his turning in an insurance claim gave him "no further obligation" in this matter. He also stated "you were just out to benefit yourself and take advantage of me and my guys." We have paid Handyman over $2,700 for their work, and are left to deal with the water damage costs ourselves.

EVERYONE, from the office folks to the technicians at Handyman Connection have been AMAZING! We were randomly assigned to Handyman Connection through our home warranty company when we had a problem with our air conditioning. Handyman Connection worked with us to fight all the B.S. from Home Warranty of America, including lots of free labor helping us to get a full system replacement when the Home Warranty company kept denying us. Handyman Connection is honest, friendly, and hard working. We'll definitely be using them again for home maintenance needs in the future!

Ken, from Handyman Connection, replaced my fence. He was prompt and very polite. The project took a little longer than anticipated, but was done well. Part of my fence had fallen down in a wind storm. While two other companies said they wouldn't be able to replace the fence for 2 to 3 months, Handyman Connection was able to start the week after I accepted the bid. Ken also moved and re-positioned concrete blocks under the fence. Neither of the other two companies were willing to do this. I am very satisfied with the work!

While the people who I interacted with were nice, I was ultimately disappointed in the service we received. Our scheduled job was cancelled twice on short notice, and, when the work was finally completed, an installation was done incorrectly. I got the sense that smaller jobs are a low priority.

I feel ripped off and taken advantage of. I used the handyman connection service for a cabinetry job in needed done in a bit of a rush. I called to ask if someone would be available on short notice. The dispatch lady politly told me that there was someone who could do it in my given time frame of a week and so I asked to be scheduled in. They gave me an appointment 2days later. When the man that came to my house he advised that he was just there to look at the job, not to do it. He then told me he had to be at a meeting 1.5hrs later but he could do the job in that time frame for $350. I reluctantly agreed because I had 3days left to get the work done and the man spoke as though he had done this sort of job many times and would do it well. The wokmanship was pathetic. When he pronounced that he was finished I questioned him about multiple places where even at a glance the cabinetry was not level. He was even drilling screws into drywall (not into a supporting stud) and trying to tell me that he was securing the cabinet.

I ended up calling a local guy who did a much better job for a quarter of the price.

Anyway I made a complaint to handyman connection and asked for at least some of my money to be returned but it’s been months and I haven’t received a reply.

Beware! I’ll never use this service ever again and anyone who asks I’ll warn them off this service.

Handyman Connection is especially worthwhile when you have a long list of projects and rent one of their handymen by the day or half-day. The owner, Chris, was EXCELLENT during his onsite visit at my house by determining what specific repairs were needed and who to send to do the repairs. For example, I had three exterior doors in bad shape that needed repairs. I, of course, had no idea what repairs were needed on each door. I just knew they were badly deteriorated. Chris advised me that the most cost-effective action would be to replace one door entirely, put only weatherstripping on the second door and "trim and shim" the third door. And the handyman he sent to my home did a superb and quick job on all three doors. I ended up getting those 3 doors and numerous other repairs completed in a high quality manner in just 8 hours.

I have used Handyman Connection for a new fence, kitchen sink, shower door, medicine cabinet and hood vent. The fence came in over bid. They were nice enough to install a vent on the room to make up the cost. They have come out to make minor fixes on the fence, when necessary. Recently I had a craftsman just not show up for an estimate and no one could get a hold of him. The recent work in my bathroom and the kitchen sink was done quite well.

Markise earned a big Thank You! He arrived right on time, and after reviewing the job, his quote was along what I was guesstimated. When I agreed, and started to ask how his schedule looked - he smiled and advised he was ready to begin right then, and advised all 3 gutters would be cleaned out before he left (this was at 5 pm after daylight savings fall-back!) which was an excellent surprise! He got busy with his ladder and gloves and even pulled out a headlamp to finish in the dark. I was pleasantly surprised when he took the time to collect the litter that had missed the trash can and swept my sidewalk and patio - and thrilled when he put the insulated covers back over the water spigots. He did an excellent job cleaning my gutters! Thank you very much for hiring such quality craftspeople.

Handyman was awesome! The estimate was spot on, Margaret was super professional and did such a great job finishing our laundry room floor. We’re happy to have the room tiled and will be contacting them again whenever we have a project we can’t complete ourselves.

Roof gutters were not attached properly in all places, roof pitch leaked onto the fascia boards. Richard & Brenden both got right to work, did what was necessary to fix the problem, scraped the pitch areas & touched up with paint. Good workers & on time. Alec kept the job moving along, touching base with me for scheduling.

From the first estimate from Craig, his thoroughness and courtesy, we were sold. Craig did an excellent job repairing the outside framing of our garage. The price was reasonable and the work was completed in a timely and expedient fashion. We will be using Handyman Connection and Craig again. I also will be recommending both to my family and friends. Thank you ~

I had some 8-foot bookshelves that needed to be made more secure and attached to the wall in my library before I could finish unpacking all my books. Handyman Connection scheduled me an appointment within 2 days, and Lynn made them solid as a rock in less than an hour for very reasonable price. He was very professional and friendly. I'll definitely be calling again for future projects!

Rick Hatch did a terrific job installing our drinking water faucet by the kitchen sink, replaced the old dripping one with a newly purchased one that used a newer fitting style.

My experience with Handyman Connection overall was I’m greatly satisfied. The responsiveness and quality of work is amazing. I will continue to use them in projects or energy situations that I need support.

We were having a hard time getting bids and responses for a home improvement project (master closet) until we came across Handyman Connection.
Handyman Connection helped us to find the right person to accomplish the work we needed, on time and within the budgeted estimate (how often does THAT happen with a home improvement project?)
Todd was very professional, helped find solutions to achieve our 'vision' for our project, cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day, and was precise in his work. We are very happy with the results and will work with him and Handyman Connection again.

Great work done by this company! They remodeled my outdated fireplace and it came out perfect! I did call around other companies but felt this one stood out amongst the rest as most prompt, professional, friendly, honest, and knowledgeable. Definitely hiring them for future projects and will be referring them to friends and family.
