AWE installed our new furnace, AC and humidifier years ago and we have been members with them since. Historically they have been excellent and we have been very satisfied with their service. However, that has changed drastically since Precision took over. I'm convinced that none of their technicians have any idea what they're doing and their customer service has fallen by the wayside.
A couple months ago we called them because our humidifier stopped working. The 1st technician comes to fix it and tells me the issue is with a filter and the repairs will be $200 some dollars. He then hands me a bill for over $500. I said wait. You told me the repairs would be $200. How is it now $500+?? He informed me that after he replaced the filter, it still wasn't working and he discovered additional repairs were needed. This was never mentioned to me, he never gave me any pricing for these additional repairs and he didn't bother getting the additional repairs approved before completing them. Needless to say I was pretty ticked but paid the additional money figuring at least it was fixed.
A week or so goes by and the humidity has still not increased. I call again and they send a 2nd technician out. He informs me that whoever installed the humidifier, which was AWE, installed it incorrectly and "didn't know what they were doing". He stated he had to rewire the whole thing but it should be fixed now.
At this point I called AWE and complained to a supervisor that clearly the $500+ in repairs I paid the 1st time around weren't the issue and I feel that they ran up a bill on me. The supervisor apologized and said she would give me a call back within the next couple days to make sure the additional repairs fixed the issue, which never happened.
I call again and they sent a 3rd technician out to fix it. The 3rd technician repeatedly tells me he "has no idea how to fix it". He tells me the issue is that there isn't enough water getting to the humidifier. The humidifier itself is working fine. He isn't sure what to do but thinks I should probably just replace the humidifier, which will cost $1500. I said you just told me that the humidifier itself was working fine but there wasn't enough water getting to it. Even if you put a new humidifier in, how is it going to work if the water still isn't feeding into it properly??? He tells me "it won't". Wait.....so your telling me I should pay $1500 for a new humidifier but that won't fix my issue. He said "it's very unlikely that it will fix it but I have no idea what else to tell you." What???? I'm not paying $1500 if it's not going to fix the problem.
He informs me that he is going to have a supervisor call me back. A couple days later I get a call from someone at AWE who I figured was a supervisor. 10-15 minutes into the conversation she informs me she is a sales person, not a supervisor. She can't help me with my issue. She was just calling to sell me a new humidifier and discuss my financing options. I said if your technician is telling me it's not going to fix the issue, why on earth would I buy a new one??? She agrees and said she is going to have an actual supervisor call me back.
I get the call back from the supervisor who informs me she is going to send out one of their "best technicians". He is coming the following day and she will follow up with me a couple days afterwards to make sure everything is working and I am satisfied.
The 4th technician comes and informs me that he agrees that I don't need a new humidifier. He has no idea what the 3rd technician was saying about the water flow. It was fine. What I need is this new control unit that will cost $600+. I agree to the repairs.
Here we are a couple weeks later. The promised supervisor call back never happened AGAIN. They have sent 4 different technicians to fix the problem. We have paid over $1100 in repairs that didn't fix the problem. They ran this huge bill up on us and we still don't have any humidity. This place is a total joke. Time to find a new company. -
Walter did an amazing job and was very helpful. We very much appreciate Precision for sending him out to help. Will definitely use them in the future for any other issues

Tech was prompt and very communicative. I had water leaking from a basement light fixture. Tech was very patient with my lack of knowledge of anything useful and quickly diagnosed the issue stemming to a leaking water line to the fridge above. Repair took 30 min.
-
Carlos was professional and honest. He was honest in letting us know the problem and his recommendations. He snaked our sink a few times & filled them up several times to make sure that they drained properly. We would definitely recommend him & this company

Greg did a very thorough job cleaning dryer ducts on two dryers. He is knowledgeable and thorough. He has been out for whole house vent cleaning in the past and he does a great job!
-
Bryan and the supporting team did a great job. He was able to resolve my issue of not having heat this time of year very quickly. They communicated well through the whole process and were very friendly and professional!
-
Ray came to the house investigating a leak in our sink on the first floor of our home. He was super helpful and fixed everything. Seriously went above and beyond even helping us fix the toilet paper roll holder, and he also taught me how to use a stud finder! He tightened our sink to the wall and found the wood backing on the wall to anchor to in order to prevent future leaks. We really appreciate it! Even came on New Years Eve!
-
Anthony was knowledgeable, informed of the entire service process. Explained and showed all the issues and provided quote onsite. Although the repairs were going g to cost too much on my 21 year old system, ended up purchasing a new system that will be installed tomorrow

Technition was professional and also gave recommendations for up keep. He was here for 15 minutes and it cost me just over $500. He was great and doesn’t have influence over the price. The process though is outrageous.

Hot water heater had a leak, Mickey came out first thing in the morning and did an excellent job cleaning up and talking me through my options going forward. Mickey and the other gentleman were very polite and answered all the questions I had. I was very pleased with the service provided. Will definitely call them next time I need work done.

We have been an air water energy customer for over 6 years, but their customer service and general business practices have gone downhill majorly since precision today bought them a year or so ago. It’s a night and day difference — just cancelled our membership. They didn’t even notify customers when they purchased AWE, so I had reported their monthly charge as fraud after not being able to speak to someone!
It’s disappointing because the techs are generally nice and do their job , we even bought a whole new air conditioner from them during covid. Their business was wonderful before.
Now, they expect you to be available all day for a simple furnace or air conditioner cleaning — no time window given at all! Seems pretty crazy. I don’t know who has time for that? Today, their AI bot was texting me incorrect information about my appointment. I had to call their main line twice to clear it up. Just not worth the hassle! I’d stay away from here and instead look for a local small business, I’ll be doing that in the spring for our air conditioner cleaning. -
Mac was my technician and he was very professional and so very respectful. He explained everything he was doing and everything that needed to be done. And all my years Of working with your company, I’ve had nothing but wonderful service and great tech technicians.

I was a loyal customer of Air Water Energy for nine years, enjoying excellent service. However, since Precision took over, I’ve noticed a significant decline in their service quality. Recently, my humidifier malfunctioned, prompting me to contact them for assistance. They recommended that I replace the humidifier, and I agreed to have a new one installed. They sent me an electronic estimate, which I signed, and I waited for two days for a call back to schedule the installation. Unfortunately, I received no response, so I called back at least three times. Each time, I spoke to an answering service that assured me someone would call me the next day, but no one ever did.

This was the worst experience I've ever had. It. This was a complete scam. I called to schedule plumbing repair service. They didn't provide an estimate over the phone. They charged $59 just to send a technician to my house for an estimate. The technician stayed for only a few minutes and gave me a quote that was much higher than what I had received from other plumbers. They quoted $490 to replace a bathtub faucet and $789 to remove a garbage disposal and replace with pipe. The technician was only there for 5 minutes, and I had to pay $59 without anything being fixed. I was shocked by their prices.
If you need a repairman, do not use this company. They are complete scammers. -
I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent furnace tune-up service experience. I have been a loyal customer for almost 10 years, but I’m not sure what has changed this time. Unfortunately, I’ve had two no-shows for appointments, and the lack of communication and professionalism is concerning.
Here’s the timeline of events:
November 4th: I called to schedule a furnace tune-up, and was informed that the first available appointment was December 17th, which I scheduled.
December 16th: I received an email confirming the appointment for December 17th. However, I am unable to select a specific time window, so I had to wait the whole day without knowing exactly when a technician would arrive.
December 17th: While on another call, I missed two back-to-back calls from random California numbers (no voicemail left). I waited until 3 PM and then called your office to follow up. I was told that since I didn’t answer those calls, you assumed it was my fault, and no attempt was made to leave a message or further communicate.
December 20th: I was given another appointment after the December 17th no-show, but once again, there was no technician and no follow-up from your team.
At this point, I am extremely disappointed with the lack of reliability and communication. As a long-time customer, I expected better service. I’m now left to consider finding a more dependable company for my furnace maintenance needs.
Please consider this feedback seriously, as it’s a shame to have to look for an alternative after so many years of being satisfied with your service. -
Had my water heater replaced. Corey Mosott was professional & respectful. He gave me options & explained what came with each option. Was a pleasant experience & will definitely recommend Corey because he knows what he's doing.

Hans Stadler was pleasant, professional & polite. After the HVAC maintenance, he explained what he did & reminded me of other services I'm entitled to for a year, which was very nice! -
We had an issue with the furnace in our condo in Chicago, called precision heating and cooling to send out a technician to check it out on Sunday Feb 15th 2026. A guy named Ryan came over, checked it and said that safety pressure switch which is connected to the draft inducer motor housing tube through a red silicone rubber, is bad and needed to be replaced, he also checked the red rubber tube. He said that this will happened on Monday the 16th, because the warehouse is closed on Sundays. Monday we called again, and the company Precision heating and cooling sent Luis Soto to check the furnace/safety pressure switch and replace it with a new one. I was watching him the whole time wile he was working on the issue. After checking everything he said the same thing Ryan mentioned the day before, but he also checked the draft inducer motor's tube opening and found out that it was clogged. He used an allen key and cleared the opening. Seeing that I asked him, if he doesn't mind to test the old safety switch to se if it is still working. He did so, and the old switch was working fine, but he replaced it with the newer model after speaking to his supervisor, just for peace of mind for us. Luis was more meticulous than Ryan and put an extra effort to check every component thoroughly. Job well done! Thank you Luis!
P.S. If an issue arise in the future, we will request Luis Soto for repairs/replacements on our furnace.
To the AWE Air Water Energy: FYI, the service took place in Lakeview, Chicago. -
Been a customer for 14 years and always outstanding service. Had my annual furnace inspection this morning and my favorite Tech Nick pointed out some concerning issues that needed to be fixed. We went over options and elected to just have the furnace replaced. Nick coordinated the install for same day and install team was on site within 2 hours. Angelo, Jorge and Issac were awesome with installing the new furnace in a quick, clean and efficient manner. Great communication keeping me informed with progress and going over the new unit and thermostat. All four of the team (Nick, Angelo, Issac and Jorge) exceeded my expectations!!!! A pleasure to work with a dependable company like AWE and their technical team.

Called Precision for plumbing check. Inquired about faucet and valve replacement with my kitchen sink. Bryan came thru and broke it all down for me. First of all, he was a great guy. And he did a fantastic job handling all of it. Very professional, kind and knowledgeable. Will call Precision for a rodding issue with my dishwasher line. Trust them and they do great work.
