I can't recommend Darrell enough. He's honest, hardworking and personable - to say nothing about the quality of the work. We started with getting quotes for installing bidets and bathroom fans. Darrell was the only one to come out and inspect the house before giving us a quote. We ended up hiring him for a whole home lighting project. 14 can lights and replacing the trims on 20 more, 2 ceiling fans, 3 bathroom fans, a smart doorbell, and 6 outlets. There were issues (there always are) and every time Darrell immediately let me know, and told me how he was going to fix it.
His employees are great. Friendly and they cleaned up after well.
His price is very fair. His quote was much lower than other companies. The job went long, but the price never went up.

I will be recommending him to friends and family, and I will be contacting him first for any future projects.

UPDATE 05/08/24: We had Darrell in to do some custom under cabinet lighting and all I can say is WOW. Completely changed our kitchen. As always, the work was top notch, well priced, and completed in a timely manner. Best electrician in the city.

When I came home from work yesterday, the power to my entire house was out. Temperatures were in the single digits, and I had no heat. I contacted several other companies, but they told me the wait would be hours. Darren answered right away and said he would get there as quickly as possible—and he arrived within 30 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it in no time. He also pointed out a few minor issues that he could have easily repaired himself, but instead took the time to educate me on how to handle them at little to no cost. I would highly recommend this company. The owner was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and helpful, and I will absolutely be using them again in the future.

I highly recommend this company for all things plumbing. I recently had an after-hours (2am) emergency when a pipe burst in my bathroom wall. One call to Sims & Sons and the owner himself Darrell Sims was at my door in 30 minutes. He quickly diagnosed where the issue was and with as little damage as possible completed the repair in short order. Definitely a five-star service company.

Sims and Sons Electric & Plumbing were fantastic. I needed new outlets installed and they were able to come out on a Saturday, which I really appreciated. The work was done efficiently and professionally, everything was clearly explained, and the space was left clean when they were finished. I’ll absolutely use them again and would recommend them without hesitation.

Darrell and Dylan were excellent. They responded quickly to an emergency electrical issue over the weekend and had us up and running within the day of identifying the issue. They were both kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. Would highly recommend!

Had SAS come out to put in a New breaker and run some cable to help alleviate some issues we were having at home.

They showed up early, worked diligently and left the place clean. They communicated well throughout and barely needed anything from me. Honestly they made it really easy.

They also did a great job explaining what they did, and why it was an improvement/how it fixed our problem.

On top of that, we got a discount from JJ, on top of work that I already felt was pretty fairly priced (they’re not the absolute cheapest, but trust me you don’t want to go that route anyways).

Have some other things I need done and will definitely be using them again!

I had a winter emergency when one of my outlets blew, and took out my heating during -20c weather.

Sims & Sons came out same day- with 8 inches of snow, they arrived within an hour, and had me back online in 15 minutes for a very reasonable price.

Easy to communicate with over text, really nice work and they cleaned up afterwards. 10/10, they're my new go-to electricians. Thanks guys!
